  1. Are you saying you do not get an IP address displayed when you go to whatismyip.com in your browser when attached to your local LAN?
  2. You should never directly open up your Unraid server to the internet - doing so is almost certain to lead to you getting hacked. If you want secure remote access to your server then you should use a VPN - Unraid has the WireGuard VPN built in. You also have the My Servers plugin as an alternative way to get secure remote access to your server. Going back to your original question if you do not get a login prompt then that is almost certainly because the browser you are using has cached the credentials.
  3. You can use the WireGuard VPN support built into Unraid to allow for secure remote access. When you have the VPN connection active on your iOS device then it will act as if it would when locally connected on your,LAN which is I think what you want?
  4. That shows the extended test failed, so the disk should be replaced.
  5. You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread after you have attempted to add it and failed. just a thought - do you have an ad-blocker installed in your browser? This can cause problems with the Unraid GUI unless the Unraid server is where-listed, but I must admit I have not heard of it causing the symptoms you describe.
  6. No - I have a mix of speeds in my system without it causing any problems. I do not have any other ideas to suggest I am afraid
  7. This strongly suggests something at the hardware level. Culprit I would first look for would be inadequate cooling causing a thermal related shutdown or problems with the power supply.
  8. It might also be worth clearing your browser's cache in case an incomplete file has been cached.
  9. That is not how parity for the main array works - you may find it useful to read this section of the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI.
  10. This is not possible. No parity drive can be smaller than the largest data drive. it is normally recommended to NOT have SSDs in the main array as when configured there they cannot be trimmed which means their performance may degrade over time. Depending on what you want to use the SSDs for you may be better having them in a (possibly redundant) pool external to the main array. This is not atypical if they are going to be used with VMs or Docker containers. it is probably worth getting to the bottom of why you cannot connect to your server locally. Have you tried via it’s IP address? Have you tried using http rather than https?
  11. Are you planning to replace the existing drive or are you intending to keep it and add more drives? If the latter then simply add them to the array and Unraid will treat them as additional space.
  12. Do you have an ad-blocker installed in the browser? If so then try whitelisting the Unraid server.
  13. Thinking a bit more about it - when assigning it to a VM I think you are limited to defining local files - not remote ones as you define a connection method (e.g. virtio, sata, etc) that is not network aware. If you want to use a network location it would have to be assigned within the VM after starting it.. Be interested if anyone HAS managed to assign a network location as a drive to a VM at the Unraid VM definition level.
  14. I think so to, but I also think it is a bug I see no reason why the Minimum Free Space value for a User Share should be used to decide if a file should go to a pool (cache) - in that case the Minimum Free Space value for the pool should be used. The Minimum Free Space for a share should only be used when selecting an array drive for a file.
  15. I would start with this initially as the recommended value for your CPU as any instability is bad in a server. If that proves stable you can always later try a slight overlock to see if the system remains stable.
  16. Apparently nobody reads the documentation All the necessary steps are covered in this section of the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the GUI.
  17. The data on any array drives (that are not damaged) should be intact. Do you have a recent backup of the flash drive? If not then you can follow these steps to sort out your drive assignments. If in doubt ask for further help.
  18. You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread so we can see what is going on.
  19. Not sure quite what is going on, but there appear to be some strange results in the diagnostics. I would suggest rebooting, making sure the array is started and then post new diagnostics. Before you do there is some tidying up that might help with interpreting the diagnostics. Remove the nerdpack plugin as I believe it is incompatible with 6.11,x Unraid releases. Make sure that all the files on the flash drive under/config/shares correspond to shares you actually have and are not legacy from previous activities. You can delete any superfluous ones. I would avoid using the drive include/exclude options on any share if you want to include all drives (the default) as this avoids the chance of forgetting later to change them when adding a new drive. Also only use EITHER the Include OR Exclude entries - not both. I noticed a share with include drives set but Use Cache set to Only for the Use cache setting - in such a case the Include drives makes no sense and is redundant.
  20. Not explicitly. You can perhaps do it indirectly by limiting the drives the share is allowed to occupy.
  21. Have you stopped the array? It needs to be stopped to change the network settings.
  22. Did you update the VPN settings on the remote devices (the peers) after you changed the settings at the Unraid end?
  23. You are likely to get better informed feedback if you attach your system’s diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread.
