Any ideas on how to check UPS daemon? I notice it loads the info on the dashboard but won't show detailed info when you click settings UPS.

It's just a feature request for the future. It's not on the internet (well only plex port is open). It's more for if some other device on the local network got infected it could mess up the unraid array as there's no login to the unbalance gui on port 6237. We have passwords for every other app that has its own port that is outside of the unraid web GUI.

Have removed the cache plugin & nerd tools incase they are causing any issues. The cache plugin has that bug that causes 1 cpu core to get locked up after waking from sleep. The only other common thing I can see among the restarts are at the time plex is being used for 1x native stream (not transcode). If it were a cpu hardware issue would expect it to happen when using steam-headless docker and pushing the CPU.

ah thanks when I look the the boot only syslog (the non archive one) it shows it booted up at 21:42 so that means it is randomly hanging and rebooting like you say. 2 seperate issues I think. There's something happening where its showing old notifications. It also keeps poping up about a new nvidia driver but is on the current latest release. The 2nd part is about the array check it starts after this 'pause'. before that message you should see some mention of s3 sleep? Thanks

Not quite sure whats happening its started since the mass plugin updates. Occasionally the system is pausing possibly rebooting but I wonder if its actually sleeping and not waking properly causing an array error? Either way what ever it is shouldn't be happening. Sleep is set from 11pm and this usually happens before then. I can't see anything really obvious in the log but I'm probably not looking properly. It completed an array check last week I think anything since then has been one of these wierd triggers. So the array is fine. I dont think it is a full restart as that takes a few minutes. There is no parity check happening. The plugin is not clearing old pop up notifications. Manually removed them in the plugin now and all good.

Re hogwarts - I'm getting some weird performance issues in my windows VM. Not sure whats happening. Maybe a disk slowdown. Its only doing 20fps but the cpu is only at 40% and gpu is low usage. Trying to get the DRM free version working via lutris but lutris didn't install. Anyone know how to get LUTRIS to re-install?

Getting lots of wrong notices. It keeps saying its starting a partity check when parity is valid (it did a check a few days ago). Also showing notifications from quite a while ago. Should I delete the appdata folder & reinstall to force clear logs?

Is it processing the new credit skip feature? That ate my cpu for about 3 days going through the library scanning for credits

I couldn't get Hogwarts Legacy to work on this steam-headless system & experimenting means I'v them unable to run on my steamdeck (joys of devuvo DRM) so for the past few weeks been soley playing games on steamdeck. Do you use steam beta? If yes try swapping to normal branch. Otherwise you could force update of the container (by going to docker view of containers -> advanced) which should re-download the various system bits in this steam-headless container.

Could we add a password to this? Not a fan of having open access ports. Would it be easy to add the arrr's login system?

S3 sleep is no longer sleeping the server since the latest update - anyone else getting this?

Is it possible to fix the file downloads. Its wiping the file type & the original filenames? Would be cool to be able to download .dng file. I don't really understand why any file type stop downloads working. Many thanks wise folk 🙂 FileName-2

Tried connecting to my LSI card. Then also tried in a USB3 caddy. I then just plugged the usb3 caddy into mac and it said do you want to initialise this drive. I then formatted to exfat and plugged back into unraid.

Would it be possible to have this format blank drives? I.E a drive that hasn't been initialised. For example I have a new drive that I want to use outside of unraid. I would like to format it as exfat. so it is readable on mac & windows (& linux). Really I want to use unraid machine to copy from one unassisned drive (drone SSD) to another unassigned drive (client harddrive) rather than tie my laptop up for hours (they send a slow drive). At the moment the drive doesn't show up in unraid unless I add it as part of a pool or the array and format it into btrfs or xfs. Could also be useful for USB sticks etc. At the moment I use my laptop to format the new drive then plug back into unraid & mount with unassigned. Thanks

This is the wonderful world of Denuvu DRM. What you need to do is use a version of Proton that doesn't get regular updates so stock proton 7 would be good choice or some people use ProtonGE7. I'm not sure how you install other protons on this steamheadless. On steamdeck you just go to the appstore and download an app that lets you choose other proton versions. But basically even if your game half loads that counts as an activation and they are being real crappy and only allowing 1 activation per 24hours. So if you install on another device or steamdeck it might not work for 24hours. I complained quite alot about this recently and they may have increased it from 1 in 24 hours but I'm not sure. Anyway hope you get to play the game. Its great once it works. The fun starts after about 4hours when you get a broom.
