Random Reboots possible ram error?
Okay cool, and how long would you recommend, I let each memory test run?

Random Reboots possible ram error?
I have non-error correcting memory, can I run this command on my system still?

Random Reboots possible ram error?
I have the test running currently while I go off to work, so hopefully after 9 hours I see some different results Also I have 2 sticks of 32GB of ddr4 RAM g. Skill brand. Non eec. So you recommend I try one stick at a time to determine which one could be at fault?

Random Reboots possible ram error?
Hello, I been using unraid for about a year or two now, and after upgrading my ram to 64GB I have been having an error where my whole system would crash and then reboot immediately after about 20 hours or so of being on consistently. I also have the "Machine Check Events detected on your server" error on my system as well. Not sure how to fix this either. I have attached a copy of my diagnostics file. So I'm just not sure where to start to fix the problem outside of running the ram test. Which I ran for an hour and a half and had zero errors. Thank you tower-diagnostics-20231113-0459.zip

Cannot get new gpu to passthrough to Linux Mint VM...
I'm no expert but from your IOMM groupings it looks like you dont have the Radeon GPU binded to the VFIO. Select the two boxes next to the Green dots and reboot your server. Select the GPU in your Linux Mint template and attempt to boot. I too have two GPUs in my setup, one 3080 and one 1080. I have the 3080 not binded to the VFIO i use it with the steam headless docker I have the NVidia plugin installed so it sees only the 3080 to use with docker. I have the other GPU 1080 binded to the VFIO to use with VM's, this does not show in the nvidia plugin. Make sure you can boot the VM without selecting the GPU for sound and video, to make sure you have the VM set up correctly. ( using the virtural display) Also, I am currently using Linux mint as well. But when I set up the VM I ran into multiple issues with getting the VM to run properly. I had to use the Ubuntu VM template but use the iso for Linux Mint to get my install to work properly. Hope this helps good luck!

Too many drives attached
I'm sorry I thought I deleted this post. I was able to figure out, that after I added my RAM my immu groups got disabled in my bios. After changing that back to enabled, everything was working again. Thanks for the reply!

Too many drives attached
So after being an unraid user for a year now. Basic license...I decided to upgrade my RAM, and while installing one of my attached hard drives came loose, after having some difficulty plugging it back in, getting everything to boot correctly. now I'm all of a sudden I'm over the hard drive limit. And I have to upgrade, even though I never plugged in a new drive.. I'm sure the hard drive causing the issue is one I have binded to the vfio which is my windows boot drive. Which should not count but all of a sudden is... Because I never had this issue before.... I need assistance getting this fixed. Because I can't start my server Please see attached tower-diagnostics-20231030-0117.zip

[Support] Josh5 - Steam (Headless)
Quick question, has anyone gotten csgo 2 to run in this docker? No matter which proton version I select the game fails to launch. Nevermind user error edit - I didn't have the Nvidia flag in the extra paremintars set. So games was launching without finding the GPU I had selected.

[Support] Josh5 - Steam (Headless)
I had this same issue, the only way I was able to fix it, was to delete the container ( and not the image) and reinstall the docker app. Then everything went back to normal

[Support] Josh5 - Steam (Headless)
To answer your first question, you can use the built in app called Lutris. Go to applications, then games, then click on the Lutris app. Here you can install game launchers and install games from Epic store, GOG, and others. And this has built in moonlight/sunshine support. after you create an account as soon as the docker starts. your good to go. I connect to it with my steam deck to play games when i dont want to use steam built in steam streaming option

[Plugin] Nvidia-Driver
@ich777 Should I be running a script like this? Because currently I do not run a script or nvidia-persistenced on boot. I just binded my 2nd gpu (the 1080) to the vifo, so the nvidia plugin does not see it, and I have no issues gaming, or starting, or stopping VM's.

[Plugin] Nvidia-Driver
I just like to add, thanks for this plugin it works as expected. I have 2 nvidia GPUs one rtx 3080 and one gtx 1080. I run this plugin for my steam headless docker and it picks up my 3080 just fine. And I have the 1080 binded to the vifo so I can run vm's. And it works perfectly. I did run into an issue that if I didn't bind my 2nd GPU. Both would show up in the nvidia plugin, and when I would attempt to start a VM with my 1080 it would hard lock my server. So just FYI fellas make sure the nvidia plugin only see's the GPU you plan to use for docker. Or it could hardlock like mine was. From my experience at least

[Support] Josh5 - Steam (Headless)
I just want to say thank you for this wonderful docker. It was a pain for me to setup but I got it rolling with steam and blizzard games. ( diablo 4 and hero's of the storm run perfectly) running sunshine/moonlight included in this docker is fantastic as well! Now my diablo4 deck sessions can last up to 5-6 hours as opposed to 1 1/2 hours, running the game on the device itself. Plus better graphics due to this doctker using my rtx3080. Now I just have to figure out how to run gog games inside this docker ( that's where I purchased cyberpunk) , and I'm set!

Windows 11 VM suddenly really slow and cpu 100%
I had this exact same issue on a bare metal windows install that was passed through to the VM. Booting straight into the bare metal install everything was perfect, booting the VM, hardcore mouse lag. The only thing that fixed it, in my situation was to reset windows within the VM.... So I had to set my windows iso as a USB device in the template boot the VM, click troubleshooting, and reset this windows install. After I did that the windows VM no longer gave me mouse lag and high CPU usage problems. Been perfect ever since

Nextcloud permission problem with external storage
I was having an issue with my android phone app auto upload option giving me permission denied errors and attempting the fix of putting 'localstorage.umask' => 0002 in config.php file causes my nextcloud docker to show internal error on the main page and not work at all, had to remove it.

[GUIDE] Optimizing Windows VMs in unRaid
I just would like to add my experience in fixing my windows 11 vm once it got to a broken state and would not boot. Becuase I was trying to fix the dredded mouse lag that was slowing my windows VM to a crawl with 100% CPU usage. I tried all other fixes i could find on the web, then I attempted to play with the MSI interrupts and my windows VM became unbootable. ( Be careful attempting to fix things with this, yours could break too) FYI- My windows install was on a seperate NVME drive outside of Unraid. I had to completly reset and whipe my windows install. ( I had previously broken it, due to my PC cutting off in the middle of a windows update) So I had to create a new windows VM with the virt io drivers and windows install.iso, listed on the template, with USB selected and I had to play with the install to get windows to give me the blue screen and allow me to select the "reset this PC option". ( I did this within the Unraid OS, I did not reset my windows drive OUTSIDE of Unriad) I had to do this all within the VNC option. Attemting to boot with my GPU passthrough i was getting a solid black screen. Only after the PC completly reset the NVME drive that had windows on it, and I got to the windows 11 setup screen, then was I able to reset the VM, boot with the GPU passed through, then continue the install process. Now My windows VM is back to normal no more lag, and crazy 100% cpu spikes while trying to game. Working sound and even didnt have to use the MSI interrupts.😁

[Support] Linuxserver.io - TVHeadend
Im not sure this would help but in my situation, any time I rest my tvheadend docker I will need to rest my router, and vice versa. Or I would get massive buffering issues. The only way I can do days or weeks without having to go through with this, is to try my best to NOT rest my router. Of I don't rest my router constantly, tvheadend will play just fine

Nextcloud and permissions issues
Just want to say thanks, this popped up on Google search, because I was having the same issue. But I had to change the commands slightly. On my setup I had to change the following: Instead of: cd /mnt/Data It was CD /mnt/user Then Instead of: chmod -R 770 ./nextcloud It was chmod -R 770 nextcloud Then permissions fixed

[Support] MariaDB Official
Mariadb is functioning correctly as it should. So I am not getting any error messages. I was attempting to sync my kodi installs using this guide https://kodi.wiki/view/MySQL/Setting_up_MySQL i was able to create a kodi user name and grant all permissions. But I am unable to locate the file to change the listing addresses section. which maybe mariadb.conf.d and 50-server.cnf file to allow kodi to connect with mariadb

[Support] MariaDB Official
I'm trying to sync my kodi install using mariadb as well, but when I attempt to copy and change the mariadb.conf.d files i do not know where it is located, or where the 50-server.cnf file location is. Could anyone assist?

I cannot, for the life of me, create a VM.
My best advice as a newbie is to watch multiple spaceinvadorone youtube videos about unraid and creating a vm. Because there is allot I still dont understand but allot I learned as well. And it can help you figure out what u maybe possibly doing wrong

[Support] ich777 - Gameserver Dockers
Ahhhh good point you are right Yeah Im sure I am just doing something small wrong, or my understanding how the container works for this specific game is off.... Well I can just switch gears and possibly try a cs:go server or a fiveM.. Thank you For your help!

[Support] ich777 - Gameserver Dockers
Okay, so going forward am I to start a game connect via my IP address and just wait for people to join? Because if I create a versus lobby wait for people to join select my steam custom group server, people get kicked while the map is loading. Or what is the step by step process I need to do, since the docker is set up correctly for random people to find me and join? @ich777

[Support] ich777 - Gameserver Dockers
Yes I read your post above, I guess I'm confused on how this all works.... Am I to just connect to my server via IP address and wait for people to eventually find it and join? Because I can't find my game. ( outside of the screenshots i provided ) and Via the game name u provided, and I don't know how to let random people access it either. and how are you able to shut down the server i thought i was the only one that can do that? Lol. Since it's on my own personal unraid server.@ich777
