  1. Thanks for sharing your test experience! That will save me the money on getting B580.. May I also know which mobo you got? I’m planning the same exact setup (but just 32GB as I don’t think I need that much ram.. what are you using it for?)
  2. I’m currently still on the older unRAID OS 6.9, is there anything I need to do or know if I want to upgrade to the latest version 7.1? Can I one-shot update or need to do incremental updates? And also not sure if it will break my existing stuffs.. As it has been running fine for now so do I actually need to update it..? Thank you for any information and advice in advance!
  3. Is there an alternative to this unsupported plugin?
  4. Ah then I guess that’s what I have to do.. was hoping to be able to do it after unassigning the drive in unraid.. thanks for the suggestion!
  5. Ah yes I mean to clear the drive so I can give it away for others to use.. I only have one sata slot available so I am thinking to set the old 4tb data drive to zeros before I remove it physically from my server… (and replace it eventually with a new 24tb drive)
  6. Hi. Is there a way to follow the parity drive swap procedure and before removing the data disk for good, we can clear that data disk first? I assume that data on the data disk is safe to remove (if something happens then we have parity drive to restore back)?
  7. Thanks! I downloaded the rclone locally on my laptop, and then ran `rclone authorize "drive"`, which is so much easier to get it working..
  8. How do we connect to service to get the token? I am setting up for Google Drive, but it shows: I change it to my server ip and it doesn't load that link, This site can’t be reached / ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED
  9. Does this docker support multiple folders of a same name to clone from google drive to unraid via folders ID instead? It doesn’t seem like it is possible, seeing that there is only a single RCLONE_REMOTE_NAME?
  10. Do we still follow the first post if we are still in 6.9.2?
  11. Thanks bmartino1 for the instructions! I have made a 60-days backup on my 8.0.24 linuxserver docker. There is a part you wrote above where "in CA at template install:" is empty, is there supposed to be some text there? Also, can I use 8.0.24-unraid? Is that stable? I am planning to use that to migrate first over from linxuserver so everything matches up, then update it to 8.0.28-unraid before jumping to the latest 8.1.127-unraid which is supposed to have a newer mongoDB version (I assume some db upgrades are done internally). Doing it version by version so that Unifi doesn't break suddenly..
  12. I am currently using the latest version of linuxserver/unifi-controller:8.0.24-ls221, and I want to upgrade but they are no longer supporting newer versions (I need the newer version because the later hardwares require 8.0.28). In order to move to this controller, do I first stop unifi-controller, and then install this with the tag "8.0.24-unraid"? And is it possible for the settings/configuration migrate over 1:1 (if not what do we need to do)? Thanks a lot for this..
  13. Thanks! So during start, I just select the new drive to put into the missing slot and get it to rebuilt correct? Just wanted to double check in case I missed something and the thing breaks
  14. Hi. I have a dilemma. I have no extra cable slot to my PSU. I have 2 parity drives. One 18TB. One 10TB. I want to replace my smaller 10TB parity drive with a 22TB drive. And a data drive of 3TB with that 10TB drive of course. So 3TB will be physically removed from my system at the end of it all. Is this doable? I assume I will need to physically replace my 10TB drive with 22TB drive. Let it rebuild parity onto the new 22TB drive. When done, physically remove 3TB drive, and replace it with 10TB drive to rebuild data drive. This way, no extra PSU cable required. 2 separate operations. However, I am not very sure of the software steps to do this. Starting from my current setup, do I need to stop the array (if it is started), unassign the parity 10TB drive, and then shutdown to replace the drives (as per the above paragraphs) OR start array so Unraid recognise that parity drive is missing, then shutdown so I can physically replace the drive? And assuming parity drive is done and dusted, do I have to unassign 3TB from data array and start array or can I just unassigned, shutdown and physically replace drive?
  15. New to this and would like to use it to contribute FR24. Will this work or is there a newer one that would be compatible this docker image? I prefer plug and play type. I see that this was manufactured in 2014 and recommended earlier in this post in 2019..: https://www.nooelec.com/store/sdr/sdr-receivers/nesdr-mini-2.html
  16. Thank you! Glad to hear it isn’t something with the file system… any idea why it got corrupted in the first place..?
  17. Hi. I am getting some errors in log, not sure why, I think my docker containers all stopped due to backup (not sure), but it is not resuming and I don't see the weekly backup that it usually runs. Any idea what is the issue and how to fix it? tower-diagnostics-20240110-2303.zip
  18. Hi, I just noticed that the container size is 1.31GB, is this normal? And how can I remove the docker fully without affecting anything else? binhex-preclear 1.31 GB 23.6 MB 22.4 kB
  19. Hi, I am using v2 still and I saw this message in my unraid "This plugin has been deprecated. Advised to install the version from KluthR instead", any idea how I can move it to v2.5, is there a post that has the step-by-step instructions where everything remains the same and not change?
  20. Oh hmm I don’t think I changed something like this.. I did remember someone saying it’s supposed to write if during parity check there were errors, since there’s no way it can be fixed anyway.. How can I verify my setting and change it back to default?
  21. So there are no unexpected shutdowns. The drive replacement was done successfully. And one month later this thing happened. Not sure why? Either parity drive was corrupted or some other drives were corrupted? I will try the link you provided and report back. As for the parity correcting thing you mentioned, I think it is the default setup I’ve been since using since 5.x. Did something change?
  22. Thanks so much for sharing your findings! Mine was placed there as well. I think this was the post I came across last time Finally, I can resolve it now.
  23. During the recent monthly scan I had many errors showing up, not sure if it’s a current data issue? tower-diagnostics-20230703-1043.zip
  24. I checked my GO file and it’s not there. Any ideas where else it can be?
  25. No, it doesn't get saved for me. I have a similar issue and I have no idea where I added that cron job, and no matter how I modify the /etc/cron.d/root file, it always revert back after I restart the server or start the array. I took some instructions on this forum very long ago as there was no such thing as user scripts back then and have no idea how to reset/remove it now
