  1. This is a small release, containing an updated version of OVMF firmware which resolves an issue that prevents certain VMs (Fedora, Debian, Rocky, other CentOS based distros) from starting. Please see the release notes for all the details. This announce post is perfect for quick questions or comments, but if you suspect there will be back and forth for your specific issue, please start a new topic under General Support. Be sure to include your diagnostics.zip. Upgrade steps for this release As always, prior to upgrading, create a backup of your USB flash device: "Main/Flash/Flash Device Settings" - click "Flash Backup". Read the release notes. Update all of your plugins. This is critical for the Connect, NVIDIA and Realtek plugins in particular. If the system is currently running 6.12.0 - 6.12.6, we're going to suggest that you stop the array at this point. If it gets stuck on "Retry unmounting shares", open a web terminal and type: umount /var/lib/docker The array should now stop successfully If you have a recent release or Unraid Connect installed Open the dropdown in the top-right of the Unraid webgui and click Check for Update. More details in this blog post If you are on an earlier version Go to Tools -> Update OS and switch to the "Stable" branch if needed. If the update doesn't show, click "Check for Updates" Wait for the update to download and install If you have any plugins that install 3rd party drivers (NVIDIA, Realtek, etc), wait for the notification that the new version of the driver has been downloaded. Reboot This announce post is perfect for quick questions or comments, but if you suspect there will be back and forth for your specific issue, please start a new topic under General Support. Be sure to include your diagnostics.zip.
  2. Unraid 7.1 can connect to WiFi access point, but it cannot be a WiFi access point. Search Amazon for "GL.iNet travel router", you can probably setup a standalone WiFi network with one of those, although I've never tried it without an Internet connection
  3. Love these "upgraded with no issues" comments Just a quick reminder that this announce post is perfect for quick questions or comments, but if you suspect there will be back and forth for your specific issue, please start a new topic under General Support. Be sure to include your diagnostics.zip.
  4. We recommend that everyone running 7.1.0 betas or rcs upgrade to stable. The main difference between -rc.4 and stable is this kernel patch mentioned in the release notes: Apply: [PATCH] Revert "PCI: Avoid reset when disabled via sysfs"
  5. This release adds wireless networking, the ability to import TrueNAS and other foreign pools, multiple enhancements to VMs, early steps toward making the webGUI responsive, and more. 13. The behavior is the same as the issue here: https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/release-notes/7.0.0/#issues-using-docker-custom-networks Even though the settings look correct, it feels like there is an issue with this: On Settings -> Docker Settings, try this: disable Docker, then remove the checkbox next to "IPv4 custom network on br0" and Apply. Then re-add the checkbox and Apply. Enable Docker and see if that helps?
  14. This is a security and bug fix release. It includes all the patches that were made available for 7.0.0. This resolves a security issue when the Tailscale integration is enabled on a container running in Host mode and then shared with other users. Please see the release notes for all the details. 15. Looks like Unraid Connect tweaked that area. Since you have a dark header image, you'll want to go to Settings > Display (your first screenshot) and put a light color in the "Header Custom Text Color" field
  16. That is from 7.0.0, I was hoping to look at a diag from 6.12 where everything is working
  17. Glad you were able to get your data off reiserfs @tzotz. You rock @trurl!
  18. That message is from the Unraid Patch Plugin, it is benign and safe to ignore. Will be fixed in a future update. But for @husthuyx... Getting stuck there is odd though. The Patch Plugin is unlikely to be the problem, rather it is whatever is running next. But if you want to rule it out, put the flash drive in another computer and delete this file from the drive: config/plugins/unraid.patch.plg Then try booting into Unraid.
  19. Would you please post diagnostics from 6.12.10? I'd like to see if there are any hints there. Actually, I'd recommend going to 6.12.15 if you stay on the 6.12 release
  20. Ah, FCP to the rescue: Fix Common Problems: Warning: Invalid characters in TLD Shutdown Unraid, put the flash drive in another computer, and edit the config/ident.cfg file using a good editor like Notepad++. Or if you are familiar with vi you can edit it from the command line with: vi /boot/config/ident.cfg Find this line: LOCAL_TLD=" https://Unraid2017.local " and change it to: LOCAL_TLD="local" and then put the flash drive back in Unraid and boot the system, or reboot if you were editing directly on the system.
  21. After getting the 500 error, check the php log tail -f /var/log/phplog
  22. From the console or SSH (whether safe mode or normal) please type: tail -f /var/log/phplog and then try to access the web browser. Any PHP errors will be shown on the terminal window. Press CTRL-C to stop the tail. If you get errors when in safe mode that implies something is wrong with one of your config files. If you get errors just when booting normally that implies an issue with a plugin. (I'm going offline, but maybe someone else can help with the errors)
  23. Tailscale simplifies *everything*, I'd suggest taking another look. You can share individual machines with as many people as you like for free, so there is generally no need to actually add anyone to your Tailnet, and therefore no cost.
  24. Can you clarify whether the webgui works in safe mode or not?
  25. To be clear, this is unrelated to the Patch Plugin https://forums.unraid.net/bug-reports/stable-releases/potentially-dangerous-mode-on-unraid-api-r3625/?tab=comments#comment-32597
