  1. Now that nerd pack is no longer compaitiable with unraid 7 is there another way to install powertop?
  2. Gave it a try myself probably not the best attempt but best I could manage if anyone can make it better please do Supermicro CSE-826
  3. Thanks, might swap it over after rebuild has compelted and everything stable. The rebuild looking much better now I have a feeling that something went a bit wrong during upgrade to v7.0.0 as previously memory was showing incorrectly and it wouldnt boot after reboot. Got a new USB Drive and transferred licence over and everything starts as it should. Probably had a failing usb drive that had some corruption or something. Thanks @JorgeB for all the replies too, appriciate it
  4. So maybe dumb question but that has GTX 1650 low profile card in the x16 slot I don't use much other than passing through to a Win11 VM... Is it better to swap em and maximise disk speed.
  5. Copied all the config folder over from back up and everything is looking ok, not started the array yet but have also noticed the issue I was having with half the RAM showing has disappeared too. I have ordered a new USB from amazon which will be delivered today, just incase it was a failing USB drive. Do I need to copy any of the other files or folders over? Also running lspci -d 1000: -vv is now giving me LnkSta: Speed 5GT/s, Width x4 (downgraded) which is better than x1 but seems my motherboard doenst support x8 root@Server:~# lspci -d 1000: -vv 05:00.0 Serial Attached SCSI controller: Broadcom / LSI SAS2008 PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS-2 [Falcon] (rev 03) Subsystem: Broadcom / LSI 9211-8i Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- DisINTx+ Status: Cap+ 66MHz- UDF- FastB2B- ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- <TAbort- <MAbort- >SERR- <PERR- INTx- Latency: 0, Cache Line Size: 64 bytes Interrupt: pin A routed to IRQ 16 IOMMU group: 19 Region 0: I/O ports at 3000 [disabled] [size=256] Region 1: Memory at 80dc0000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Region 3: Memory at 80980000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=256K] Expansion ROM at 80900000 [disabled] [size=512K] Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 3 Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1+ D2+ AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0-,D1-,D2-,D3hot-,D3cold-) Status: D0 NoSoftRst+ PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- Capabilities: [68] Express (v2) Endpoint, IntMsgNum 0 DevCap: MaxPayload 4096 bytes, PhantFunc 0, Latency L0s <64ns, L1 <1us ExtTag+ AttnBtn- AttnInd- PwrInd- RBE+ FLReset+ SlotPowerLimit 0W TEE-IO- DevCtl: CorrErr+ NonFatalErr+ FatalErr+ UnsupReq+ RlxdOrd+ ExtTag+ PhantFunc- AuxPwr- NoSnoop+ FLReset- MaxPayload 256 bytes, MaxReadReq 512 bytes DevSta: CorrErr+ NonFatalErr- FatalErr- UnsupReq+ AuxPwr- TransPend- LnkCap: Port #0, Speed 5GT/s, Width x8, ASPM L0s, Exit Latency L0s <64ns ClockPM- Surprise- LLActRep- BwNot- ASPMOptComp- LnkCtl: ASPM Disabled; RCB 64 bytes, LnkDisable- CommClk+ ExtSynch- ClockPM- AutWidDis- BWInt- AutBWInt- LnkSta: Speed 5GT/s, Width x4 (downgraded) TrErr- Train- SlotClk+ DLActive- BWMgmt- ABWMgmt- DevCap2: Completion Timeout: Range BC, TimeoutDis+ NROPrPrP- LTR- 10BitTagComp- 10BitTagReq- OBFF Not Supported, ExtFmt- EETLPPrefix- EmergencyPowerReduction Not Supported, EmergencyPowerReductionInit- FRS- TPHComp- ExtTPHComp- AtomicOpsCap: 32bit- 64bit- 128bitCAS- DevCtl2: Completion Timeout: 50us to 50ms, TimeoutDis- AtomicOpsCtl: ReqEn- IDOReq- IDOCompl- LTR- EmergencyPowerReductionReq- 10BitTagReq- OBFF Disabled, EETLPPrefixBlk- LnkCtl2: Target Link Speed: 5GT/s, EnterCompliance- SpeedDis- Transmit Margin: Normal Operating Range, EnterModifiedCompliance- ComplianceSOS- Compliance Preset/De-emphasis: -6dB de-emphasis, 0dB preshoot LnkSta2: Current De-emphasis Level: -6dB, EqualizationComplete- EqualizationPhase1- EqualizationPhase2- EqualizationPhase3- LinkEqualizationRequest- Retimer- 2Retimers- CrosslinkRes: unsupported Capabilities: [d0] Vital Product Data pcilib: sysfs_read_vpd: read failed: No such device Not readable Capabilities: [a8] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+ Address: 0000000000000000 Data: 0000 Capabilities: [c0] MSI-X: Enable+ Count=15 Masked- Vector table: BAR=1 offset=00002000 PBA: BAR=1 offset=00003800 Capabilities: [100 v1] Advanced Error Reporting UESta: DLP- SDES- TLP- FCP- CmpltTO- CmpltAbrt- UnxCmplt- RxOF- MalfTLP- ECRC- UnsupReq- ACSViol- UncorrIntErr- BlockedTLP- AtomicOpBlocked- TLPBlockedErr- PoisonTLPBlocked- DMWrReqBlocked- IDECheck- MisIDETLP- PCRC_CHECK- TLPXlatBlocked- UEMsk: DLP- SDES- TLP- FCP- CmpltTO- CmpltAbrt- UnxCmplt- RxOF- MalfTLP- ECRC- UnsupReq- ACSViol- UncorrIntErr- BlockedTLP- AtomicOpBlocked- TLPBlockedErr- PoisonTLPBlocked- DMWrReqBlocked- IDECheck- MisIDETLP- PCRC_CHECK- TLPXlatBlocked- UESvrt: DLP+ SDES+ TLP- FCP+ CmpltTO- CmpltAbrt- UnxCmplt- RxOF+ MalfTLP+ ECRC- UnsupReq- ACSViol- UncorrIntErr- BlockedTLP- AtomicOpBlocked- TLPBlockedErr- PoisonTLPBlocked- DMWrReqBlocked- IDECheck- MisIDETLP- PCRC_CHECK- TLPXlatBlocked- CESta: RxErr- BadTLP- BadDLLP- Rollover- Timeout- AdvNonFatalErr- CorrIntErr- HeaderOF- CEMsk: RxErr- BadTLP- BadDLLP- Rollover- Timeout- AdvNonFatalErr+ CorrIntErr- HeaderOF- AERCap: First Error Pointer: 00, ECRCGenCap+ ECRCGenEn- ECRCChkCap+ ECRCChkEn- MultHdrRecCap- MultHdrRecEn- TLPPfxPres- HdrLogCap- HeaderLog: 00000000 00000000 00000000 00000000 Capabilities: [138 v1] Power Budgeting <?> Capabilities: [150 v1] Single Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) IOVCap: Migration- 10BitTagReq- IntMsgNum 0 IOVCtl: Enable- Migration- Interrupt- MSE- ARIHierarchy+ 10BitTagReq- IOVSta: Migration- Initial VFs: 16, Total VFs: 16, Number of VFs: 0, Function Dependency Link: 00 VF offset: 1, stride: 1, Device ID: 0072 Supported Page Size: 00000553, System Page Size: 00000001 Region 0: Memory at 0000000080dc4000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) Region 2: Memory at 00000000809c0000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) VF Migration: offset: 00000000, BIR: 0 Capabilities: [190 v1] Alternative Routing-ID Interpretation (ARI) ARICap: MFVC- ACS-, Next Function: 0 ARICtl: MFVC- ACS-, Function Group: 0 Kernel driver in use: mpt3sas Kernel modules: mpt3sas root@Server:~#
  6. Can this be done by simply copying the files to flash after mounting/export it to smb or do you have to shut down server each time?
  7. Restored back up of the flash drive on new usb and same! Stops at mount: overlay mounted on /lib Back to square one... Not sure what to do next so will be shutting down and calling it a night until 2mw.
  8. Created a new test usb with trial and that works, so will try restore backup of USB and hopefully that will get me back on track!
  9. Removed all pci devices, which disconnects the controller too and still can't boot unraid even in safe mode... Do I need recreate the USB or has something else gone wrong? The USB is a SanDisk Cruzer Fit 16 GB from 2018 so pretty old now I guess.
  10. Not sure what's going on but Unraid won't boot into OS. Seems to stall at "mount: overlay mounted on /lib" Any suggestions?
  11. So the obvious thing that sticks out to me is LnkSta: Speed 5GT/s, Width x1 (downgraded) Is it safe to cancel the rebuild and check the controller is seated correctly or even move it to another slot and start the rebuild again as its only completed just over 6%

  13. Could the ETA just be incorrect? I have a Supermicro 826 chasis with Supermicro blackplane and LSI SAS 9201-8i... Going to leave it running and see if it actually takes 3 days or is done quicker.
  14. It is what it is... If I have to wait 3 days fine but just wanted to make sure nothing wrong
  15. Hi I have replaced a 4TB WD RED with a 12TB WD RED and the ETA is on completion is over 3 days. Write speeds are only around 40MB/s - Quick chat on discord suggests this is slower than normal. I have an Intel i5-13500, Docker and VM services are stopped. Was really expecting maybe a 1.5 days for rebuild to take place? Diagnostics attached. server-diagnostics-20250120-1604.zip
  16. Nope, didnt understand how it worked, to be fair I have never noticed it. Most of my shares are 5+ years old... I have over 7TB free on my array and all disks have well over 200gb of free space. But I see your point now, that it is setto 845.8 GB for some reason. I have now set it to 25GB and assuming that should work Will remember to post diagnostics next time too 👍
  17. I am trying to move folders from a share to another location but keep getting rsync: [receiver] mkstemp "/mnt/user/Backup/ACERLaptop/Users/Bal/Pictures/2015/2015-05-03/.1T4A0442.JPG.hSFKO3" failed: No space left on device (28) My shares are all set to highwater and minimum free space is just over 800gb and the I am only trying move 119 GB
  18. Not sure what happened or when it happened but just realised I had 434GB of appdata backups. Looks like will need to look at how to set this up again. Is it right that it doesnt need to backup plex appdata folder? It was suggesting I exclude it but I might have misunderstood?
  19. This doesnt make sense, it cant be BIOS issue as its the same version when it was previously working. Also cleared settings to default for good measure. Still not showing correctly. Has to be a bug but dont fancy rolling back to v6 now that I am on v7.0.0
  20. I dont think I have missed it but is it possible to have this done please?
  21. Yes they are all currently on the NVME cache, when I installed the NVME, I changed shares to move from Cache to Array, installed the NVME then did Array to Cache I think other than the ISO folder the rest should be fine, so downloads will occur and stay in DATA which is Cache only and when mover runs it will move to Downloads/Movies which is array only
  22. The following shares live on the NVME CACHE appdata domains iso system Assuming this is correct?
  23. So I have moved the data folder to its own share and set it as Cache > Array Then my Downloads folder which contains "Movies" is set to Array only Should probably just rename it as its not really downloads folder it's just storage after files have been downloaded using binhex-arrs. I do actually have another share called "Videos" with TV Shows in! This is probably where "Movies" should live? Would I have to manually have to move 40+TB to this or is there a better to do it or just leave it?
  24. Hi All, I have been looking at my shares setup and noticed I actually have a single "Downloads" folder which has a its own "Data" Folder but also a "Movies" folder The data folder is used for the arrs and has the following folders bin: completed: / 4K / Movies / Programs / TV incomplete: / Movies / TV The Movies folder holds all the movies which are then mapped to Plex. The share is setup as Primary: Cache and Secondary: Array with mover action Cache > Array Would I be better off moving the data folder to a seperate share and having that as Cache to Array and then leaving the Downloads folder as Array only for Primary Storage? Sounds dumb now but just installed a 2TB NVME cache drive replacing the existing Cruical 1TB MX500 SSD I previously had. Might as well get this setup correctly now I have some time.
  25. In that case I will move everything to the newer NVME and keep the VM on the SSD as it is... Dont need raid1 mirror at this stage, appdata is backed up to array. Whats the fastest way to copy the data from old to new cache? Copy to array first?
