I have one odd login issue but only the WebUI on the unraid gui i get a login loop as shown in the photo. Edit: had to edit the settings for WEBUI from http to https to get it to work on the Server UNRAID GUI browser. Edit2: well I went and check again after restarting the machine, still loops on the login like above only on the actual Server Unraid's GUI firefox. I usually don't use the PLEX web on the server so no hurry. Some people say it is a Firefox issue but hard to try on the Server as the Browser is only Firefox.

There is no variable for "PLEX_CLAIM"? I am switching from the PLEX official version.

I have the same problem but not top level share. /Media/Movies/Movie_name_folder I was only moving the Movie_name_folder and contents from Disk 1 to Disk 3 but Movie_name_folder is still on Disk 1 empty. Edit: I can go back into Disk 1 after to delete the empty Disk 1 /Media/Movies/Movie_name_folder? Edit2: Went and used Krusader to delete the leftover empty folders on disk 1 and 2.

I was using the USB 3.0 dock to preclear a hard drive for later when my LSI 9211-8i card arrives instead of using a spare PC. Will the name preclear uses affect adding to the array later? I.e. clear drive again even though it doesn't need to. I also had to double check it was the 6TB EFRX drive and not preclear the wrong drive.

Yes who's dumb idea was to go to black? Like above cannot see anything in black, bring back white/beige. Next black case I am tempted to to mask stuff off and paint the inside white.

I just switched to that one, they sell on Amazon a pack of 5 or individual.

Expanding Storage with 24 Bay SAS Drive Enclosure (HP QR491A)

Put your SSDs on the Motherboard SATA ports. Someone said the LSI HBA cards cannot do TRIM on SSDs. -
I love UPS delivery, only way I knew my RMA replacement WD60EFRX hard drive arrived was a text message. They never rang the door bell. So to the question, it feels cold, I.e. it must of been in the back of UPS van all day. Should I let it warm up 1st before run my 3 rounds of Preclear. My thought is yes.

Started preclear #2 on a WD Red Plus 8TB. Does the SATA link speed affect how long the preclear will take? I.e. 3 Gb/s vs 6 Gb/s. It takes the 8TB drive 14.5hrs just to do the pre-read part, and 14hrs to zero, etc. Can you add a feature that you can go back to the running preclear and tell it to do another round of preclear when done current preclear? I.e thr current preclear is going to finish in the middle of the night.

I am in the middle of a preclear on a new 8TB drive, do I need to stop? Or only if it has problems?

Have been using Legacy for years now. Am I better off switch to UEFI in BIOS? And changing the EFI- folder to EFI on the flash? Or does the setting in thr GUI do that? I am adding a LSI SAS 9211-8i card when it arrives. Do these cards work better with BIOS set to Legacy or UEFI

[SOLVED] One disk not recognized by LSI only SATA?

Possible that hard drive was shucked from external? YouTube BiteMyBits has videos about the shucked drives needing one of the pins covered with tape. -
[SOLVED] One disk not recognized by LSI only SATA?

I was originally going to order the Dell 310 from Ebay but the seller said the Dell cards does not work well with Consumer motherboards. "This Dell card has SMBus signal that sometimes conflicts if the M/B also has it's own SMBus on the PCIe. This happens a lot for Gigabyte and HP motherboards. The genuine LSI cards don't implement SMBus, so it avoids this issue. // Art of Server", don't know if this is why. -
Does using a 10 year old Motherboard SATA ports affect the Preclear time? I have a spare PC because I cannot add more HD to unraid until I get my LSI card. So I thought I would preclear on this old PC. I can see it says something about a link of 3.0 Gbps, so isn't a 6.0 Gbps link. And max speed UDMA/133. The preclear does show average of 195 MB/s. Seagate 8TB Shingled Drives in UnRAID
Paul_Ber replied to garycase's topic in Storage Devices and Controllers
I have the 6TB WD60EFAX that WD never said what type it was until the spring 2020, well these are SMR. Model numbers of the drives and SMR or CMR: 2TB WD20EFAX SMR 2TB WD20EFRX CMR 3TB WD30EFAX SMR 3TB WD30EFRX CMR 4TB WD40EFAX SMR 4TB WD40EFRX CMR 6TB WD60EFAX SMR 6TB WD60EFRX CMR I contacted WD and they are doing an advanced RMA without giving them my credit card number. They are sending me a WD60EFRX 1st. Then once I have done all the preclear, swap, rebuild, wipe old drive it should be a few days I guess. I already have: WD60EFRX parity WD30EFRX WD30EFRX WD60EFAX the drive i will be exchanging WD50EFRX not added to array yet When do increase the size of the array I usually buy a bigger parity drive and the old parity drive replaces a smaller drive. Limited to 4 drives at the moment, and 2 cache. WD has a weird naming convention because the have a WD80EFAX that is CMR.
