  1. Move all data from disk to be removed to other disks using unBALANCE or otherwise. Some haven't had success with the clear and remove method mentioned in that link and it doesn't save any time, but if it works for you it does maintain parity. And no harm to try it. If it doesn't work you can just New Config without the disk and rebuild parity instead. Either way a good idea to check parity after.
  2. You can have multiple disks in the cache pool. Not really "parity" though. The default is for btrfs raid1 mirror. Be sure to use SSDs of the same size in this case. I am doing this also. I have a single NVMe as my "fast" pool with appdata, domains, system on it, no redundancy since CA Backup takes care of the important things from those. And another "cache" pool with 2x500G SSDs for normal caching.
  3. Also, go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.
  4. Read this and come back with any questions: https://wiki.unraid.net/The_parity_swap_procedure
  5. We already had that one. The point was to get a new one that showed the new parity check, since it already has some sync errors that we might compare to the earlier parity check.

    LOG 100% use

And of course your logs are not full in those since syslog starts over when you reboot.
  7. This is the most important advice. You must always have another copy of anything important and irreplaceable.
  8. Also see this wiki: https://wiki.unraid.net/UnRAID_6/Docker_Management
  9. Understanding volume and port mapping is 99% of knowing how to set up any docker. Take a look at the Getting Started section of the Docker FAQ: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/57181-docker-faq/
  10. Did you notice that didn't work for them either and there was a reply to their post just above?
  11. Since you already have sync errors go ahead and post diagnostics. Comparing parity checks may tell us something.
  12. If you want a better idea of what the problem may be Go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.
  13. I don't use this but the usual way with any docker is to just map a different host port.
  14. Seems unlikely that change would cause your symptoms, but you can delete config/smb-extra.conf from flash. What do you mean by "webterminal"? What did you try between reboots?
  15. Really? What about these? Exactly zero is the only acceptable result. After correcting parity errors you should run another non-correcting check to verify that you have exactly zero sync errors. If not then you have some problem that needs to be addressed. Unless parity has zero sync errors you can't expect to accurately rebuild a failed or missing disk.
  16. The default for cache pool is btrfs raid1 mirror. So if you put both of those in the same pool then your total capacity would only be the smaller of the 2 drives. If your intention was to have their capacity added together then you want Single mode:
  17. Diagnostics are often worth more than a screenshot. Please go to Tools - Diagnostics and attach the complete Diagnostics ZIP file to your NEXT post in this thread.
  18. RAID controllers are not recommended.
  19. CRC errors are usually connection issues. A small number not increasing is nothing to worry about. Just acknowledge the CRC error by clicking on the "thumbs down" on the Dashboard. It will warn you again if that increases. Yes. You might have to boot in non-UEFI mode to run memtest.
  20. You might also post your diagnostics. They won't catch a crash of course but they might answer some questions about your hardware.
  21. Your syslog is full of this: Aug 23 11:10:24 KaChing s3_sleep: Disk activity on going: sdb Aug 23 11:10:24 KaChing s3_sleep: Disk activity detected. Reset timers. Aug 23 11:11:24 KaChing s3_sleep: Disk activity on going: sdb Aug 23 11:11:24 KaChing s3_sleep: Disk activity detected. Reset timers. I don't use that plugin but I haven't seen that in other syslogs so I assume there must be some way to get rid of it. Does the plugin have an option to enable/disable logging?
  22. You shouldn't use preclear on SSDs. You have to let Unraid format any disk it will use in the array or cache pool. Just go to Main - Array Operations and it should give you a Format button. Make sure the only drive it lists for formatting is the one you want to format, then check the box so you can click Format.
  23. One last thing on this. Do you always keep your plugins up-to-date? It might be you were using an old version of CA Backup and newer versions would have prevented this mistake. Let's see if @Squid has anything to add.
  24. Actually this is a true format. Format just means write an empty (whatever type) filesystem to this disk. Many seem to have only a vague (to the point of being incorrect) idea of what format does.
