Quick question regarding CPU pinning and Docker parameters, A few months ago, I found the docker parameter " --cpu-shares=2 " . This, to my understanding, limits the docker from using more than 50% of the total CPU. It helped when I had a folding docker that liked to bring my whole system to a halt. (boinc seems to be the better option that what I was using at the time.) However, when using the CPU pinning to limit cores a Docker has access to, would this command half that? such as if I pinned 4 cores, and used the aforementioned parameter, does that limit the docker to have only 2 cores? please let me know your thoughts and if I'm understanding this correctly.

Hey folks, Just a quick question. Has anyone figured out what the arrow next to each worker is for? I cant seem to find anything about it in the documentation. Not even sure it has a purpose. Anyone have any thoughts?

UPDATE: I have figured out how to get Bazarr to connect to the TV content directories(tv-show folder), but not the seasons or episodes. anyone solved this one before?

So setting PFSense is next of my projects list and I have one quick question I wanted to ask before I get started. Will I need or would it be better to buy a new NIC (likely a 2 port NIC) and get it installed before beginning? My thought is with my existing MOBO NIC, I can use that as the server LAN port. The new card will have two ports, and one will connect to the WAN and the second will act as the LAN gateway. I'm sure someone will say that PFSense can create virtual interfaces but I want to set it up for peak performance and I have a 1Gbps (up and Down) internet connection and don't want it to be a bottle neck. Side note, the NIC on my MOBO is a 2.5 Gbps port. Let me know your thoughts, advice, guidance and thank you in advance!

If this issue sounds familiar and you can offer guidance or advice It would be greatly appreciated. I noticed that I cant reach plex with its IP address from another computer on the same LAN. this wouldn't normally be an issue with the whole app.plex.tv URL for management. However, now I notices Sonarr and Radarr connections fail for the Plex IP. Now the Plex IP in the plex setting is the same IP as my Unraid server and the plex docker is set to host mode. From other Binhex posts, it sounds like this should be fine in host mode(as designed) but I'm not sure what steps I can take to resolve. Any advice here? It would be nice to have access to the local plex UI via its IP:32400 but if I can simply get Radarr and Sonarr connections working, that would be good enough for me. Thank you all in advance.

So i have hit a new roadblock. I have the radarr side working but the sonarr seem to have the following error. I am having this same issue. I have looked at 3 different install guides and they all take the same steps to set this up. Yet I have the issue with not getting a handshake. It seems a few people are having this issue. not sure why there isn't a clear fix for such a common issue. For me I'm testing on windows 10 and android. Client log just keeps sending handshake and unraid never shows handshake arriving.

So, I'm having some issues with a docker... those issues aside, I'm looking for a script to schedule a docker reboot regularly, such as every 2 hours or so. I have been working to resolve the core issue but thus far, the only resolution I have found is to restart the problem docker. anyone have a script that can accomplish this?

Yes I figured it out. I had to remove the recently added scripts and re add them. That fixed it right up.

OK, I have been reading posts for 2 hours now and dont see where or what i messed up. I have DDNS setup with a new url just for wireguard. i use pihole and did input my pihole LAN IP in the config. I have tested on my phone(cell network) and my laptop(on cell hotspot-cell network) both seem to connect fine, but nothing loads (public sites nor LAN sites). I notice in the client log(both on windows/laptop and android app) that its sending the handshake attempt multiple times. i see on the unraid dashbaord that there is no handshake. I can post screen shots as needed and would love to use this instead of openVPN. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for this info and your blog post. It helped explain a lot of what i think i need to do to grow beyond my CoreX9 Case (disk space) and current mobo (lack of SATA ports). With the new info, I have three questions I was hopping you could elaborate on... 1- With the SAS/HBA cards (not sure of the difference on these). If the card sits in an PCIx16 slot, how does the SAS card handle power to the diskshelf? it seems like it would only handle the data... Disks->SAS card in disk shelf->SAS cable->SAS card in host computer->host mobo. 2- With the SAS card not handling power for the disks. You mentioned a link of two PSU units. Does this power the disk shelf (fans, disks)? 3- The SAS card in the diskshelf, does if physically mount to anything? i mean, i dont think the diskshelf has a mobo... Any help with these questions is appreciated but also any other info you think would help. Any feedback is appreciated.

So doing some more research, i found the video that level 1 techs did with gamers nexus where they built a rig that would act as the "brain" of the disk shelf. Has anyone done anything like this before? Im curious how to connect the two boxes or what the controller card was that wendell mentions but doesnt talk about. Also, will i need to use ZFS or is what unraid uses(if thats the same) good enough? i havent had any issues so far. Long story short, Im thinking this will be a cheap way to gain drive slots. anyone know much about this?

So after much searching i found a fantastic site ( https://www.theserverstore.com/ ) and after checking the equipment they had. I gave them a call. First off i have to say, I have not actually purchased from them as of today. But the guy i talked to for 2 hours educated me on all that i would need to know. With this added knowledge, my plans for my server upgrade changed a ton but i cant recommend them enough based on my call. Be sure to ask about server PSU fan noise and PSU controller cards to reduce the noise. If anyone is not sure what they need when you hit situations like mine (needing more than 12 drive bays and room to grow) at least check their site. They sell on ebay but call them or visit the site directly. There's much better inventory and pricing than their ebay store.

Same issue happened for me. If I change the timing(or disable) any of the scripts, apply lights up(so i can click it). but when i actually click, nothing happens. upon refresh or revisiting this page the changes are not saved. it worked a few minutes ago but not its not.

Reading a bit back on the older posts in hopes of finding clues on options to buy but much of the old cases provided are EOL and no longer available. Still on the hunt for a new chassis or otherwise case to upgrade to if anyone knows of a decent choice.

Hey All, Im having an issue with Lidarr. I have it connected and testing good with my NZBGET container as well as my Plex container. However, Lidarr is finding NZBs to be downloaded, loading them into NBGET, then they are downloaded and NOT imported into the media folder. To be clear, some are loaded but not all. its like Lidarr doesnt recognize some of the downloaded files. I dont see any correlation of which Lidarr moves, and which it doesnt. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

Hey all, I was hoping for some advice. I purchased my current case thinking i would never need more HDD space. Now I'm all out. I am pretty sure i need to jump to something rack mounted and with a "backplane" but I'm not trying to break the bank. So things like a new stornado are out of the question i think. I don't mind buying used if i can find it in good condition and i would like to move over my mobo and AIO cooler. but i an be flexible. The goal is that my mobo fits, and i can have at least 20 drive bays but more is better. Anyone willing to lend advice is greatly appreciated.

Hey All, I have recently noticed an issue where Sonarr shows items in the activity tab that are no longer active in NZBGet, either failed or finished successfully. I have them linked in the Sonarr settings under download client and it tests successfully. Im not sure where the communication is failing. Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated
