it has been talked about here https://github.com/jlesage/docker-makemkv/issues/82 suprosingly enabling privileged mode, makes it work. hopefully with a container update where privileged mode would be enabled. also i hope that @Djoss updates the docker with a field for adding disc drive (with --device /dev/sr0 being default value maybe) in the basic view. overall it works well.

for some reason this does not work. i know it used to on my old unraid build. I have rebuilt everything and reused the disc drive. but following this though does not make any difference. i have to stub the disc drive or something like that?

Do you know if rapid photo downloader has an option to move photos? I was having a read here https://damonlynch.net/rapid/faq.html and says no. but I am unsure if the website has not been updated yet as i don't know if a a photo and video consolidation feature has been added yet.

doesn't zfs has this feature, i voted for zfs, vm enhancements and trim support. but define vm enhancements? the only reason people use freenas is because of zfs, so unraid could kill 2 birds with 1 stone, and add zfs support as that has snapshot support.

Please add WiFi support for times when its not practical to run a Ethernet from 1 room to another or when your in rented accomidation that doesn't provide Ethernet.

hi there im just wondering about using your docker for crashplan as i haven't got a suable offsite backup yet. what does the docker template look like? guess i add the folder share i want to backup stuff from to crashplan? also what is restore like? can i select a whole folder click restore and wait for it to download?

is there better support for x299 mini itx also when is wifi support coming so we can move our servers anywhere we want without having to route a cable here there and everywhere or spend more money on a powerline adapter?

ASM2142 USB 3.1 Host Controller so i tried to pass-though 8086:a2af which is iommu group 4 as that says usb 3 controller just like how spaceinvaderone shows in the video about iommu group but when i reboot, the network is broken. i get a completely different ip instead of my usual static ip. but while it is booting up, it says something about bond0. is there any way to capture any logs? i have passed though the usb 3.1 controller ok. im not sure if its to do with a bios bug i have where if i remove the m.2 adapter that is in front of the I/O connectors, the usb 3 ports stop working along with the Ethernet sockets. does anyone have ideas? could i capture some kind of log file?

hi there i was following spaceinvaderone video about dual booting and i have done that fine. however i want to pass though the usb 3 sockets on the back of my motherboard. i have pass though the graphics, sound and usb 3.1 but i cant pass though the usb controller. this is what my iommu grouping looks like. ASM2142 USB 3.1 Host Controller so i tried to pass-though 8086:a2af which is iommu group 4 as that says usb 3 controller just like how spaceinvaderone shows in the video about iommu group but when i reboot, the network is broken. i get a completely different ip instead of my usual static ip. but while it is booting up, it says something about bond0. is there any way to capture any logs? i have passed though the usb 3.1 controller ok. im not sure if its to do with a bios bug i have where if i remove the m.2 adapter that is in front of the I/O connectors, the usb 3 ports stop working along with the Ethernet sockets. does anyone have ideas? could i capture some kind of log file?

The thing is that I don't own any networking at my place. Problem with power line adapters is where and I going to plug them in. The router has 1 poe socket. I won't be able get away with 1 cable coming out of the router and into a plug as other people and the cleaners would be suspicious of it.

Again not a option as the router is mounted on the ceiling with 1 poe cable and that would be tacky as it would have to go through a couple of fire doors. I could but not a option

thank you try living in rented accomidation with no ethernet connectors. i dont own any of the internet hardware so i just have to stick with what im given. without wifi support my unraid machine is sitting under my bed doing nothing. its better to slow wifi support than have nothing.

would be good in the Unraid boot menu where you have an option titled like “location, time zone, langrage and keyboard settings” option and then Unraid can detect your time zone, and therefore your language and then your keyboard layout. However, the settings could be changed manually from the location settings using the arrow keys and enter button.

few questions with duplicati. 1st of i get a update available on the docker and i click update and let it do its thing. yet afterwards there's a button shown for update available. not sure why. also how would i set duplicati to just make a mirror of the stuff on the share in 1 encrypted aes zip file? finally if i download the aes file and i know the backup password, then could i open it using 7zip?

the thing is, im trying to install gnome edition. and just get this starting tls startup/shutdown i dont even get to the install page. however the kde version works fine no problems. im running the latest stable version of unraid. in virtual box, my manjaro gnome iso works fine no issues. so how can a free vm program work fine but a paid for hypervisor doesn't? its really annoying because with unraid being a linux hypervisor, im like this should work with anything then fails miserably and really puts me from committing to unraid. i guess that other have had the problem before but why have limetech not fixed this issue. or is there something i need to change? its not the iso as it works fine so why cant unraid?

so i had have installed binhexes krusader docker and i wanted to make a slight change so that the docker thinks the home folder is atcherly the root on unraid. i did this and the command failed. then in my dockers, krusader had gone! dont know why this had happened. im in the process of trying to reinstall the docker as its been sitting here for a while downloading. its very bad that this has happened. yet this is supposed to be "enterprise class" well im not sure why a docker would just go like that on a simple command. im thinking if this cant handle a simple change then what hope do i have storing my stuff. ok it does seam like its just a bug but problems with vms, trying to install dockers that hang on install. makes me all the more unsure if this is ok or whether there's quite a few issues to sort. on paper its ok and works ok but i cant believe a simple change could just break a docker plug-in. i am running the latest beta. so weather that's why if got this issue.
