  1. Updated UEFI and seems to work fine with latest ASUS BIOS:3404 / AGESA ComboV2PI 1.2.0.B
  2. I also been having this issue with docked update notifications.
  3. Happened for me too today. 6.11.5. Not infinite but did updates 2 times.
  4. I had win10 VM crashing issues and changing OS drive Bus from VirtIO to Sata fixed it. I think it was at SCSI when i made it long time ago and on some update changed to VirtIO and for some reason its not stable on my setup.
  5. wish i knew this was borked before i updated
  6. I have similiar problem now and editing "/etc/libvirt/qemu/VM.xml" has no effect on it. I'm on 6.10.2. So my problem is that i cannot save settings with basic template which saves password since it bricks my virtiofs settings from xml and xml setup does not save VNC password.
  7. Thousand thanks for you! Got my virtiofs working with this. Kinda lost hope already to get it working when tried before. 🥳
  8. Have you updated to RC4 and still having problem? My passtrough worked OOTB when i jumped from stable to RC4.
  9. Having this same problem. I tried with memfd, File-backed memory and hugepages and all of them gives same error as you have mentioned. Running on rc4 now.
  10. I have been also running into issues with this again. Had this success but some transfer methods does not work with full speed. like if i transfer stuff with normal "cp" or "mv" commands its like 30-40MB/s but it i do it with rclone and disable server side moving with it then it works full speed. for fstab i just have it without any msize parameters because latest kernel. Im waiting for virtio-fs to be implemented in unraid to get it working easily. Currently i just move smaller files with GUI with those 30MB/s speeds and larger files i use rclone.
  11. For myself I haven't been able to use gpu inside windows VM without pulling vbios file from running windows system. Worked fine under linux with smaller vbios. Tried with linux vbios tried with vbios from techpowerup and only selfmade vbios from windows worked.
  12. They have "fixed" 9p performance in kernel 5.15 by increasing msize by default from 8kb to 128kb, but you can also use increased msize inside mount command like msize=262144. Currently on arch linux vm kernel 5.15 i have speeds at 300mb/s which is what i have internally also so almost no loss in speed.
  13. I'm having problem that unmanic is not doing anything. I have setup it like in guide and looked up setting and such and tried to manually make it scan library but nothing happens.
  14. I've had one guy whose card just wouldn't work at all as only GPU. He changed it to different card and it worked without problems. Everything seems to be in order in your VM xml. I don't know if some cards have just bioses which wont work. I guess you have also tried with latest drivers? After 465 they should have beta virtualizion support. Havent checked it myself yet.
  15. ip link #to find ethernet port dhcpcd ens1 #set dhcp up ping google.com #test connection use ip link to find out what is your interface name
  16. Happens to everyone you can also use some other vnc client like tightvnc so you can keep browser addons intact.
  17. Well. I just tried with latest arch image and only problem with my guide was that i didnt tell to select install iso. It booted to shell first and then after selecting iso it booted to install media without problem. So what exactly happens after you have made new VM and connected to it? Its just black screen or what?
  18. VNC remote is exactly what i mean and it should connect with default setting and only those changes which i have mentioned in guide. Haven't tried with latest version and do you have virtualizion enabled in bios and your computer supports it?
  19. did you map gpu soundcard also and are gpu and gpu soundcard on same iommu group?
  20. Does that windows 10 vm work normally without gpu passtrough? Im pretty sure that its upto something with that cpu and you need to figure some workaround over that. Many people seems to have same problem. Like by just googling kvm threadripper and that error.
  21. what cpu you have? Googled a bit that those tainted errors shouldnt matter but not sure about those other errors. My log also gets there errors at end but my boot time to login screen is ~25 seconds. So errors after that is propably what you should research. 2020-11-15 10:16:20.255+0000: Domain id=3 is tainted: high-privileges 2020-11-15 10:16:20.255+0000: Domain id=3 is tainted: custom-argv 2020-11-15 10:16:20.255+0000: Domain id=3 is tainted: host-cpu char device redirected to /dev/pts/1 (label charserial0)
  22. Finally got it back working. So flashing back to older bios fixed my problems.
  23. Actually dont know if latest bios is the root cause since i cant get rid of error 43 currently. I though it was since my installation was old and i dont have extra activation key for that test machine which i made this guide. I don't think that i have changed anything else which would affect that. Have to double check bios settings if something in there has been changed. Agesa 1.0.8.0 firmware.
