Question regarding Unraid OS version 6.12.0-rc6 release
bobC replied to bobC's topic in General Support
I set Enable User Share Assignment to no, due to I was having issues with RC5 where the data in the user share could be different then what was in the dataset disk share. that is how i found that appdata path could not be set to a zpool if enable share assignment is set to no. but you can set the docker vdisk location, Possibly the issue with different data in user share and the pool dataset no longer an issue with RC6 ? sounds like some changes where made regarding using bind-mounts in zfs. -

Question regarding Unraid OS version 6.12.0-rc6 release
bobC replied to bobC's topic in General Support
additional question, in the docker config, it appears that you can not select a zfspool/ as a appdata default storage location, is this by design or a bug ? docker vdisk can be set to zfspool, but not appdata -

Best way to move array folders/data over to a zfs pool
bobC replied to bobC's topic in General Support
Thanks for the response, I started to move data over to the zfs pool now, what i did do was to rename the shares with a "1" suffix after the share name, then created a new share with the original share name pointing it to the zfs pool, then used Dynamix File Manager to copy the data over to the newly created share, once i know everything is good, then i will delete the renamed share from the array. everything seems good so far appreciate the help -
Yes, it does not seem to recognize that there is a zfs pool to move/copy to/from , it would be wonderful to see an update on this fine app,

Is there a recommended way to move array folders/data over to a zfs pool. best way to copy or move ? how to deal with shares, etc ? Bob

having some issues with System Temp and Fan Control plugins. Had both plugins working for some time until I replaced mother board/CPU. now with with system temp I get "no drivers detected" and for fan control it shows "None" for PWM controller. I'm running Version: 6.12.0-rc3, and changed from a Asrock to the Asus MB I also read that Perl install is not required for 6.11 and up. and its no longer in the nerdpack Any one else experiencing problems, or have any suggestions? Main Dashboard Memory Panel - memory precent numbers defined
bobC replied to bobC's topic in General Support
both replies were very helpful, I understand now, i just hope i can remember it haha thanks for the info Bob -
the pic of the dashboard memory panel show the percents of how memory is being used, above this is the stats memory screen the two dont seem to correspond, I don't under what the percents are representing, adding them all up its more than 100% so I am a bit confused, did not find any definition in the forums or manual, if anyone cant point me in the right direction for some info. thanks in advance Bob
