I don't have any version number in the top, my banner is missing, under Tools > Update OS, it's just a blank screen.

You have manually upgraded the OS but the Connect plugin is out of date. Navigate to the Plugins tab and update all plugins, should be good then.

Also, be sure to copy the changes.txt file from the 6.12.8 zip along with bz* or things will get confused.

I had a running UnRAID installation that we have been testing before purchase.  We had some drives with SMART errors so wanted to shutdown to swap one of them out before it fails.  After rebooting, we get bzfirmware checksum error and the only option is to reboot.

I have searched all over and I cannot find any articles/posts for the bzfirmware checksum issue, or for bzroot.  Is there any way to fix this?  Or, do I have to start over?

Just wanted to add in that I had this error today and was going to try replacing the files like everyone else suggested but I attempted to run the GUI mode in safe mode and was successful at doing that. Once I was in, I made a flash backup of my OS and then updated to 6.12.10 with no issues and was able to boot normally afterwards. Thanks everyone for the help here!

Hi all, So complete newbie, bought a system, plugged in, all working, left to configure later, 6 power cuts in one day has now given me this error. Built USB stick, changed BIOS to boot from stick, which it does, but still get checksum error. Is there a walkthrough anywhere? If I still get checksum error how do I copy files?

Try booting with a new flash drive using a stock install, if you still see that error run memtest.

Memtest is okay, still checksum error, I will upload screen shot tomorrow.

You should remplace all the bz* files on your flash drives with one pulled from the release you are using. You can get the files in the zip here https://unraid.net/download

Probably a corruption of one or several boot files on your flashdrive.

I am considering naming my first grandkid after you. This solved my problem with the 6.12.13 upgrade immediately. Thanks again!

Note that it is recommended now to also replace the changes.txt files. Probably only needed if you change version, but I would do it anyway, just in case you are not sure.

Meanwhile, 3 weeks later....

Followed this - https://unraid.net/getting-started

then this - https://docs.unraid.net/unraid-os/getting-started/advanced-bios-config/

found a zip file somewhere along the way and put the bz files onto the USB

Still no joy with the checksum, I am hoping you can tell from the screens, I really am a complete newbie to all this!
