Am I missing some additional workflow after the latest update? I have some containers that show an update is ready, but the button at the bottom, Update All is greyed out and when I click on Apply Update nothing occurs and remains the same, Update Ready.

Just wanted to leave a note in case others run into the same. My system is on Unraid 6.12.14 and this plugin no longer showed on the search results under Community Apps, probably because the latest version is tagged to support only Unraid 7+

 

I was able to workaround this by going to Plugins > Install Plugin and then entering the following as the URL of remote plugin: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/scolcipitato/folder.view/3c1fbbfff3ef24e5654193bd3de9c0584fa2886e/folder.view.plg

1. how do you get the indicator icon for if the container is started/paused/stopped in the preview section of the docker tab? (just the play/stop icon, no labels or container names)

Not yet. Waiting for an update of the author

I was updating my folders with base64 images and suddenly all my folders are gone.
Anyone else who had this problem? Where is the old data stored, it's kinda hard to redo...

edit: went to settings->FolderView->open file manager and the docker.json was just gone.

Lucky I'm using Backup/Restore Appdata, so I could download the flashback, extracted the docker.json and imported it (settings->FolderView->import (under docker)).

Still very weird it was just gone after pasting the third base64 image.

No it works fine as long as you don't use docker compose apparently

I have exactly the same issue going on. There aren't any updates but right at 12 AM or at some predetermined time it goes Orange. Did you find a solution? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it, but no luck. Seems to be some issue since Unraid 7

I have compose running and it mostly works fine with Folders, apart from the spacing being a little weird after a compose entry.

Something that only seems to happen on Folders, not individual dockers - the usage summary container seems to be resized dynamically, and part of that function is causing the memory usage to fluctuate between 1 and 2 lines:

Normal:

Two Lines

 

The result is that the entire page shifts up and down which is visually pretty jarring. It's also phyisically moving the buttons at the bottom of the page up and down which is a bit unexpected as well. Especially as it happens on multiple folders:

  Thank ya'll, and yeah Compose can have some ill effects.  It kept Folderview from working at all after my upgrade to UnRAID 7.0.0

this has been driving me crazy. any fix in the works? been happening ever since i upgraded to 7.0.0 and the newest version of folderview along with it.

I will remove, until the author shows some lifesigns.

Is that with a fresh install of the plug-in or an upgrade? I'm on 6.12.15 and everything seems to be working correctly with the version of the plug-in I had before updating the OS.

I had it before, I have made all updates that showed as available while on .14. On .15 Common Problems reported the plugin is not compatible.
Since I see no reaction from the author (maybe busy, hasn't shown up for 2 weeks), I removed until it gets resolved.

Maybe indeed it works, but since I don't actively utilise this yet, I don't mind.

Gotcha. Yes, the current version shows available but incompatible for me on the plugins page. So I haven't installed it. The previous 2024.10.02 version is working for me.

 

My understanding is he is working on getting things working correctly with 7.0. Seems they made some changes to the page elements that aren't immediately apparent visually, but breaks a lot of the targets the plug-in uses to manipulate the page. And that's just the visuals that I know more about. I have no idea what kind of changes they did behind the scenes, but it sounds extensive.

All of these changes are why the current 2025.01.11.1 version of the plug-in will never work with earlier versions of unRAID.

Hey there,

 

I hope anyone can help me with my issue or at least point me in the right direction.

 

Some time ago I already had FolderView installed on my Unraid server. At some point it didn't work anymore and I didn't bother for the time being. Now I wanted to debug it further since the amount of containers make a mess out of my server.

 

So when loading the docker page I get an script error when FolderView is trying to create the folders. See the attached pictures

 

Whats interesting though is the unraidOrder it get from the marked line of the following screenshot includes names of folders and containers I once had, but that are deleted these days. Not sure if thats what causes the error but thats something thats odd from my view.

 

So any idea how I can fix that or at least where these informations come from Unraid?

@Mattaton Not sure if related to plugin but have some issues with some icons in docker container when adding new icon, the old one show in container tab but new in advanced tab only:

 

 

Also tryed to remove icon and then add it ...
