eruji
Okay, finally got the webserver up and running. I read this in the newznab thread: updated all the Simple Features plugins zip from http://code.google.com/p/unraid-simplefeatures/downloads/list replaced all the files in boot/config/plugins and removed all the simple features files from boot/extra and removed a simple features file from boot/packages rebooted and now i have a working webserver. on to newznab Quote Link to comment
olympia
Hey speeding_ant, Amazing work on all these. Thank you very much. Just upgraded today from 4.7 and started to use SimpleFeatures. I've got everything up and running and works great. I only have one small issue being that the Web Server always comes up as stopped during reboot. Can this be because I have the www directory on a non-array apps drive which I only mount from the go script, while SimpleFeatures kicks in earlier so it doesn't find the www dir yet? Influencer
No, the start on reboot isn't working. I run the webserver off a cache drive and it SF web-server does not come up there either. Quote Link to comment
speeding_ant
Will be fixed in new version - Bonienl is putting a ton of effort into solving the network interface waiting issue. Cheers Quote Link to comment

simieski
Sorry for the noob question, but what is the use of a web server on an unraid nas? Or where can I read more about the use? I've tried googling, but don't seem to be able to get my search terms right. Quote Link to comment
eruji
Sorry for the noob question, but what is the use of a web server on an unraid nas? Or where can I read more about the use? I've tried googling, but don't seem to be able to get my search terms right. Its no different than running it on any other server. Most people want plugins to run on their unraid server because its usually on all the time, so there is no need to keep an additional machine running. Quote Link to comment

Hi speeding_ant, until it gets fixed I guess it should be possible to start the webserver from the command line (...and the go script)? If this is a fair assumption, could you please help me out what would be the command to run from to go script? Quote Link to comment
coloradotechie
Would someone mind updating the original post with updated installation instructions? I tried clicking http://unraid-simplefeatures.googlecode.com/files/simplefeatures_webserver.plg but I get a 404. I went to http://code.google.com/p/unraid-simplefeatures/downloads/list but I don't see any PLG files (just a zip and some tarballs). I downloaded the zip and extracted it and found a bunch of PLGs... but I wasn't sure which one was the "base" one to install first (another post referenced a base PLG to install first). I'm somewhat new at this and I wanted to get it right. Thank you! Quote Link to comment
bonienl
For those having problems with the startup after reboot, please be patient until we release the new version. It has a workaround for the network unavailability that some have experienced (depends on your settings). Quote Link to comment

Okay, I think I figured it out: [*]Download and unzip the zip file from http://code.google.com/p/unraid-simplefeatures/downloads/list [*]Copy the simpleFeatures.core.webGUI-X.X.X-noarch-1.plg to your unRaid server in to /boot/config/plugins (create that plugins directory if you haven't already) [*]Reboot OR run installplg simpleFeatures.core.webGUI-X.X.X-noarch-1.plg That will install the core webGUI stuff. If you want something else (like the webserver), then follow the above instructions, but install the appropriate PLG file. Thanks~! Quote Link to comment

It has a workaround for the network unavailability that some have experienced (depends on your settings). Bonienl: by "problems with startup after reboot", do you mean that the Web Server will not start, even after being set to Enabled within the Setup screen? I'm experiencing this currently...it works fine at initial install, but a subsequent reboot renders it un-startable (or it never goes to "Running"). I've been trying to troubleshoot, but will stop if this is what you are working on. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
rgb30
Happy New Year - I too can vouch for the web-server not automatically starting upon a reboot, well so far its 4 out of 4 reboots. Something else, totally unrelated... the shares on the Tower are not visible from my PCH.... Quote Link to comment
greenythebeast
hi, I PMed speeding_ant about this but I thought I'd post in here as well. In the upcoming version of the webserver can you provide a version of PHP that has PCRE with UTF-8 support enabled? A few programs need it to run and the current one doesnt work Thanks! speeding_ant
New update! PCRE support, among other updates. Please see the main SimpleFeatures post for future updates. This thread has now been relegated to support, or should be removed/merged by mods. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=12698.msg120524#msg120524 Quote Link to comment
Helmonder
Just redid the 1.0.11 setup. I redownloaded all plg's from the first post. - deleted all my simplefeatures stuff on flash - started with only the core web gui -> works - added all plugins except webbrowser, dnd, s3 and preclear -> works - added the webbrowsser - it refuses to start... The php error log shows the following: [19-Feb-2013 06:56:20 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: string in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/airvideo/airvideoctl.php on line 122 [19-Feb-2013 06:56:33 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: string in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/mysql/mysqlctl.php on line 142 [19-Feb-2013 06:56:33 UTC] PHP Notice: Undefined variable: results in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/mysql/mysqlctl.php on line 98 [19-Feb-2013 07:00:01 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_connect() in /mnt/cache/www/spotweb/lib/dbeng/dbeng_mysql.php on line 27 [19-Feb-2013 07:36:30 UTC] PHP Warning: copy(/tmp/notifications/unread/unRAID-1361256982.notify): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/simpleFeatures/include/Notify.php on line 96 I have ticked the "error logging" and it stays ticked but there does not appear a log file underneath I can take a look at. speeding_ant
Very Bizarre. Can you please send me your config files. Usually if it has started, but you can't see anything, that means that it can't reach or access the directory that holds the files. Quote Link to comment

I have two TXZ files on openssl: openssl-0.9.8r-i486-3.txz openssl-1.0.1c-i486-3.txz I can remove the first one (and I just did) but will it not be auto downloaded on the next reboot ? I just removed the old one and redid webserver setup, it is now upgrading the 0.8 version, so that looks good.. Quote Link to comment
