January 16, 201511 yr Author Just a thought on Plex, look in /boot/config/plugins/Plex media server folder and delete the startcfg.sh file. Then on the plugin GUI, hit apply. See if that fixes it.
January 16, 201511 yr I am definitely not seeing a log file. I even copied the entire flash over and searched it for *.log, and the only one present is not that one. My plex is being installed to The path to the \\tower\flash\config\plugins\plexmediaserver. I have it set to, in PhAze settings within Unraid, to /usr/local/plexmediaserver/config. There is no config subfolder off the plex folder. I tried deleting the startcfg.sh file and then hit apply, which recreated the file, but same issue.
January 16, 201511 yr ... it's now working. I just hit the blue update version for the like 5th or 6th time, and again got an error, but this time, the "unknown version" verbiage disappeared. I started it, and... it started. I did manually create the \config\ folder, I'm not sure if that mattered, there is nothing in it. Thank you again for the help!
January 16, 201511 yr Author Strange... Well hopefully it stays working for you. Did you say you have it installed to the USB drive?
January 16, 201511 yr Author It was that something for messed up in that startcfg.sh file. The error you saw after deleting it was the plugin saying it was not found and recreated it, likely.
January 16, 201511 yr Yes, it's installed to the USb drive. I'm not sure how to move it. Oh, and that makes sense, about the startcfg.
January 16, 201511 yr Author Plugins on the USB are good but in the Plex plugin settings page you should make sure "install directory" is not pointing to the USB. Either somewhere on your array, cache drive, or the default /user/local/plexmediaserver just to prevent any issues in the future.
January 16, 201511 yr Right now I have install directory as /usr/local/plexmediaserver and config\library directory as /usr/local/plexmediaserver/config . Sorry to keep being so dumb, but how do I point it to, say, my cache drive? Also if I put it on the cache drive won't the mover shove it all over? I mean, since you suggested it presumably not but I'm not clear. Thank you again for all your help and your patience.
January 16, 201511 yr Author You can make a share that is at to cache only, or you can use /mnt/cache/.apps/appname The "." Makes it a hidden folder and the mover script ignores it.
January 16, 201511 yr Ahhhh... Thank you! I have learned so much from this today. I moved it all to the cache drive, and yeah, now all the folder structure, logs etc are all present. Thanks again!
January 16, 201511 yr Author Perfect thanks! I am sure it's prettier than my hack job Turns out serviio latest version doesn't work with the webui version that is it at the moment (or at least I couldn't get it working) so I'll continue to look at this tomorrow. Did you get it working just by updating java?
January 16, 201511 yr I've been attempting to install your Plex plugin on my 6b12 box, and not having much luck. I can install the plugin, and get all the appropriate feedback. Once I do this, and go into settings and click on the Plex icon, it loads for a second then just displays a blank page. No entries in syslog or elsewhere that I can see. If I run the rc.plexmediaserver manually with the install parameter, it happily goes off and downloads the app etc.. but without the configuration options, I'm not sure I'm going to get too far. Installed just by dropping the plugin into /boot/config/plugins - tried running via installplg, and also cleaning up, dropping it in and rebooting. A little stumped at this point! Appreciate any help, and sorry if this has already come up and been answered, I couldn't find anything with a search. I thought I'd check out if it was the download I was waiting for, but the page remains blank and there is no traffic to the Plex CDN from looking at iftop, whereas there is if I run the install manually from rc.plexmediaserver EDIT - Ok I'm a knob and completely missed your instructions for 6b12. Sorry! Ignore.

I haven't looked but I am not exactly sure what the wrapper does or is needed for.

January 16, 201511 yr oh yes yes it does - sorry slow morning. I have the serviio console installed on another machine that connects remotely. I can't say I have ever used the webui. Seems the author of the wrapper needs to update for 1.5 but not sure he actively works on it anymore. I sent him a msg on the serviio board but he hasn't logged in since May 2013 so I won't expect much.
January 16, 201511 yr Author Here is the beta for v2 plugin for serviio. - I have removed the WEBUI feature all together, now it must be configured through 3rd party consoles since no one is updating the web interfaces anymore. - Works on unraid 5.0.x and 6 beta 12+ (not on lower beta's) - Does not require the go script for serviio, so remove that if you were using it on the old plugin - Install through the plugin manager on unraid 6 and it will update your current plugin - uses Java 8 now HERE Let me know how this works as it has a bunch of new features in the backend of the code. If you use persistent install folders (installed to cache or raid) I suggest running the install function once, so the install files are stored on your USB. Not required, but recommended. -=PhAzE=-
January 16, 201511 yr Serviio upgrade went smooth and all seems well. I noticed it shows it's using FFMPEG 1.2 - the version bundled with 1.5 should be from the 2.4 branch. Any reason you have the older one? Also as for the console. You don't necessarily need a 3rd party product. You can install serviio itself on a windows machine for example and just put the console on and point it at a remote install and it will work fine for configuring.
January 16, 201511 yr Author I haven't found a txz of ffmpeg that has all the features enabled yet. The Linux package of serviio doesn't come with any version of ffmpeg, but I'll search for one.
January 16, 201511 yr I have considered both of those applications since eBook handling is what I'm missing from this collection of plugins. Lazylibrarian was abandoned last I heard which is why I never made a plugin for it. As for calibre, do they have a proper Linux version out yet? It was a pain to stop last time I checked (last month) as you have to compile it, there is no link for precompiled versions. Maybe that's changed? FYI DobyTang on GitHub has been making some major improvements to LazyLibrarian, see below repo. https://github.com/DobyTang/LazyLibrarian
January 18, 201511 yr ok so my couchpotato is having trouble. It says running in the dashboard but when i try to access to cp webgui it doesnt work. I've checked the ports etc and cant seem to fix this. Here is an error log generated today http://pastebin.com/zbFshPz4
January 18, 201511 yr Hey Phaze....Any idea why my MediaBrowser won't scan the library anymore since the update the other day?
January 19, 201511 yr Author Yea, the v2 plugins use proper naming for the page file so they show up as two. I have one more thing to check on the v2 plugins then I'll put them out so all of those plugins will use the new page file layout. Then the old section will disappear.
