June 12, 20251 yr Author Quick note for new authors/maintainers. Process for getting the repository added is now streamlined and doesn't have the risk of having a PM getting missed in the ocean of notifications I receive daily. June 12, 20251 yr This is mostly an improvement idea, but I figured I'd throw it out there and I'm not sure if it's not already implemented like this. I think it wasn't, the last time I added a plugin, though. With new plugins requiring manual approval for a while now, I think it'd be fair to list them at the beginning of "Recently Added" when they actually get approved and are visible within CA, rather than when they were first discovered by CA. With the manual approval progress, a new plugin essentially has almost no chance to be at the top of "Recently Added" or even visible on the CA front page at all, with the amount of not manually approved new Docker containers, between the time it was first discovered and when it's actually approved and listed in CA. This would help increase new plugin visibility, keep things equally fair and reduce pressure on the CA moderators as well, I hope. 😆

June 14, 20251 yr Hi @Squid - I'd like to suggest a possible enhancement to CA regarding pinned apps. Maybe there already is a way to do this and I just am blind or haven't figured it out -- but I have 300+ pinned apps, I would like a way to hide (or remove the pin) of all the ones I have installed without having to do each one individually since there's a page refresh every time. On a related note, it would also be awesome if one could select multiple ones at the same time (similar to Previous Apps), and Unpin them all at the same time.My sincerest apologies if this has been addressed before, I couldn't find any reference to it.

June 16, 20251 yr I had a flash drive fail. After creating a new drive from a backup, transferring the license key, and updating the key for the new drive I realized I needed to upgrade Unraid. After upgrading unraid, the apps tab quit working, "downloading of appfeed failed". I have checked DNS settings, time settings, and anything else I could find tin this thread https://forums.unraid.net/topic/120220-fix-common-problems-more-information/page/2/?tab=comments#comment-1101084 , still no app feed. I have removed and reinstalled the community applications plugin as well, still no joy. Plugins can be updated from the plugins tab and docker containers can be updated from the docker tab. AWS, Docker hub and github are all reachable. snafu-diagnostics-20250615-2128.zip CA-Logging-20250615-2131.zip
June 18, 20251 yr I have come to the conclusion that there is something wrong with CA 2025.06.04a.Reset the router, no change. Upgraded pfsense, no change.Swapped to second ethernet port, swapped ethernet cable, swapped to a different port on the switch. None those made any change. Switch is non managed consumer model, so nothing exotic going on there. All of the above was done with docker turned off and vm manager turned off.I can download the files in a web browser and they come down rather quickly, couple of seconds. After more flash backups and restores that I care to think about, this is what I found.Went back to known working backup and started over. Unraid 6.12.14 CA 2025.01.12 works CA 2025.06.04a app feed failsUnraid 7..0.0 CA 2025.01.12 works CA 2025.06.04a app feed fails.Unraid 7.1.2 CA 2025.01.12 works CA 2025.06.04a app feed failsNew install 7.1.12 with trial license CA 2025.06.04a app feed failsAnything else I need to try let me know. I have a working system now with the older CA plugin, pretty happy for now.
July 3, 20251 yr I've been getting a periodic cron error in my syslog, wondering if this needs an update or if I need to manually fix this? crond[3363]: failed parsing crontab for user root: Invalid frequency setting of /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/ca.update.applications/scripts/updateApplications.php >/dev/null 2>&1

July 4, 20251 yr I've lost access to the Community Apps plugin. I got notified it needed to be updated, so I did, and it failed, and now I get this. When I try to install it, I get the 2nd.Diagnostics attached. unraid-diagnostics-20250703-2300.zip

I recall a similar issue in the 6.x branch when I had been holding off on updating - CA had an update but it failed and wouldn't reinstall even after I cleared the package off the flash drive and rebooting. Updating to the latest OS resolved my issue then.

There was an issue with an update to Connect a while back that caused this

July 11, 2025Jul 11 @Squid Looks like last update github had issues, some files failed to download, resulting in a bunch of plugins including CA itself to be blacklisted.Dunno if that'll self-heal or you need to manually restore them once done... i guess there are some checks to add 😁EDIT: Yup, not fixing itself Edited July 11, 2025Jul 11 by Kilrah
