What happens if CA auto updates a plugin while it is in use? I'm running a preclear for the next week or so. I know a new version was just released. Will CA attempt an update when the 3 day time delay has run out or will it wait until the plugin is no longer in use?

Would depend upon the plugin.  (And the result would be no different than if you manually updated the plugin).  To be 100% safe in that situation, I would disable the update for preclear, as I don't know how gfjardim handles updates while a preclear is in progress (Any of my plugins, during an update I completely stop and restart any processes that are running 24/7 so that they get the latest version)

Is there a way to disable updates for individual plugins? I only see the global setting in CA.

Never mind. Found it. Had to switch off the "auto update all plugins" to get the options.

Maintenance Release

- To support the upcoming feature of being able to separately install / remove CA modules, an update to CA was required in order to keep the appFeed displays making sense.

- A new button (CA Modules) will display all of the currently available modules, and if supported will allow for existing module removal and additional module additions.  Note that currently all modules cannot be uninstalled, but shortly will be.

Just noticed this message in syslog. ;D

OK, I know I'm your mate and really should have done this earlier, but finally switched to backing up my appdata, flash and VMs using CA instead of a cron script.  Working really well.  Good job my cephalopod friend....  ;D

Ah... So your going to begin Beta testing the backup now?  Only 6 months late  ;)

Can't seem to get Auto Update working. Just noticed that I have several plugins with updates available from 2 or 3 days ago, but I think I have the updater configured for no delay.

Also tried it with a blank setting for delay period.

You'd have to post the diagnostics / syslog  (CA logs the autoupdate runs)

Is there a reason you're running FCP's troubleshooting mode?  Just curious

But the auto update thing I had already saw the issue before you posted...  I'm just in the middle of other updates to CA that aren't fully tested as of yet, so it'll be a day or two... (already fixed on my development routine)

Wondered why I kept getting all the log files. I don't see anything re Troubleshooting Mode in FCP Settings. How do I disable it?

By design the only way is a reboot

- Separated out, CA Appdata Backup/Restore, Plugin Autoupdate, and Cleanup Appdata

After installing this update (and on all new installs of CA), those 3 plugins will automatically be installed (for those users already utilizing those modules), and the settings migrated over to the new plugins (Plugin Auto Update  Cleanup Appdata  Appdata Backup / Restore)

If you choose to, those modules can be separately uninstalled either via the Plugins tab, or via CA's Installed Apps section

These changes should simplify my work flow any future bug fixes, etc.

Future planned modules for CA will be a 100% separate download

Other Changes - The manual for CA (and the other plugins) is now downloaded separately on demand

Pretty sure it is an affirmative, but must ask if settings (especially backup) are retained in this update/split?

OOPS reread and you clearly state they do :P

Yup

Getting a console error: sh: /usr/local/emttp/plugins/community.applications/scripts/removeCron.php: No such file or directory on 2016.11.11 version.

Does this fix the problem with AutoUpdate not working also?

I had that fixed.  [emoji20]  must have messed up the plg versions in testing

Suppressed.  I tested the snot out of upgrading to the new version which wouldn't have displayed that line, but didn't check the console after a reboot or clean install  >:(  You're good for keeping me on my toes  ;D
