As far as the container, it automatically updates daily so I think that should take care of the request to make sure it's the latest version.

My bad, I thought I saw an old version in your log, but I was wrong. I see you're on the latest now.

As far as the URL, that's an interesting story. The URL works from my Unraid console as can be seen here:

Hmm.. That's weird. Could be a PIA issue. But then again, I think more people would have reported the problem. I think @binhex is the best person to answer that particular question as I'm not that familiar with how the PIA stuff works in this container. I use AirVPN so.

Navigate to the appdata folder where the core.conf file is in the terminal and run: chmod 0777 core.conf and open it in notepad++. You should only edit this file when the container is stopped.

How do I Navigate to the appdata folder. In terminal? cd /mnt/user/appdata

root@Titan:/mnt/cache/appdata# cd /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-delugevpn

root@Titan:/mnt/user/appdata/binhex-delugevpn# chmod 0777 core.conf

Sorry, my bad 🙂 press the terminal button in the unraid webui. Do you know the full path to your appdata dir? If you do then just type in the whole path to the file with the chmod 0777 command first. If you don't know the path type mc and hit enter. You will then be inside a file manager. Navigate with the mouse or arrow keys to /mnt/user/ and your appdata dir. Once inside where you can see the core.conf file press F10 to hop back to the terminal (might be a different key for you. You should see the options on the bottom of the file manager). Your path should then already be filled out. Now run the chmod 0777 core.conf command.

If you want you can edit the file directly in the file manager using F4 I think (might be different for you, look at the options on the bottom.

Still not displaying plugins in preferences after restart.

I learned a lot from this exercise.

You can also try to delete the core.conf file, it will be recreated when you start the container again. But before you try that try a different browser, preferably an incognito window to rule out problems with plugins/extensions.

I tried Firefox in private mode. Same result. Perhaps it's time to try something else. qBittorrent?

Thank you for your help,

Tried everything I had mentioned, still no go. I'll wait to see what binhex has to say but at least I have something that's functional for now so thank you very much for your help!

My downloadspeed with binhex delugevpn is capped at around 3MB/s, tested with vpn on and off in the config. Where as using the binhex deluge which doesnt include a vpn by default allows me to reach 30+MB/s. How can I fix this? What could be the cause?

Anyone having speed problems both with VPN and without should check out my (zakkarry's) settings profile in ltConfig (https://github.com/zakkarry/deluge-ltconfig) I'm maintaining the plugin now and my settings gave significant improvement to download AND upload speeds....

You can see what settings are modified https://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?t=56921

add ltconfig link

I keep getting a output message as follows:

DEBG 'watchdog-script' stderr output:

/usr/lib/python3.13/site-packages/deluge/pluginmanagerbase.py:16: UserWarning: pkg_resources is deprecated as an API. See https://setuptools.pypa.io/en/latest/pkg_resources.html. The pkg_resources package is slated for removal as early as 2025-11-30. Refrain from using this package or pin to Setuptools<81.

import pkg_resources

That's to be expected currently,

Updated to Unraid 7.2.0 (from 7.1.4), now DelugeVPN doesn't work. I can't access the UI of deluge. @binhex Did you test on 7.2 yet?

EDIT

Forget that. I enabled debug, then I saw the Wireguard address for my VPN didn't resolved, so I downloaded a new Conf from the provider.

I have been using Binhex-DelugeVPN for some time now with little issues running NordVPN. I then found out that Nord doesn't do port forwarding and is likely why my downloads were so slow, so I get set up with ProtonVPN. Since making this change, I have been unable to get to the webGUI of Deluge.

-I've tried doing Proton Wireguard configs with only Moderate-NAT, only PMP, and Moderate-Nat and PMP.

-I've tried bidge network and also a custom (it was working on bridge which is what all my other arr apps run on)

-I've selected a Proton server with plus/P2P

-i've tried disable/enable strict port forward and also privoxy

-LAN network option is correct

-Logs indicate that the WG tunnel does come up, and shows the public IP of the server

-<ServerIP>:8112, the way I normally access is listed in the docker page but the page cant be reached.

I have been playing around with the settings all day, but originally all i changed was the vpn type from custom to proton and openvpn to wireguard. I then created a /wireguard in appdata and uploaded the wireguard file from proton.

Anyone had success with this setup? Since its a listed VPN Provider I figured it would be easy to do, but alas I seem to be missing something.

Thanks!

These cause "resolve" issues in Flexget that uses the container network of Delugevpn:

NAME_SERVERS'='84.200.69.80,37.235.1.174,1.1.1.1,37.235.1.177,84.200.70.40,1.0.0.1

Changed to just 1.1.1.1

All good now. What like this for a long time. It was using next-episode.net with the calendar ics link for TV shows

I also had this problem. It appears when using ProtonVPN and OpenVPN as the connection, you MUST set the VPN in Deluge settings to Custom, not "proton", this breaks the WebUI for SOME reason. I wish I was of more help, but ProtonVPN is just insanely slow for me as well. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to make sure its using an open port and p2p.

Woke up this morning to Deluge ui not showing, I see no errors in the logs, I use PIA, and the logs show an address being assigned, and deluge looks like it's doing what it's supposed to be doing (as per logs) but no UI.

The "watchdog" keeps running, and all it's checks appear good to go. (i.e. the VPN is up, listening to ports, etc.)

Thanks Strike, See attached.

It seems to be stuck here (in the logs) no other logs are being written.

I did re-install the app, but I did NOT delete the appsettings directory, maybe a bad file there?
Also at this point it's using 3.5% processor, (nothing else is as typical home server nothing to do)
Let me know. Thanks!

It looks like it doesn't even try to start the web-ui. First, try to back up your appdata somewhere and start with a fresh config, just copy in your wigeguard files.

If that doesn't work, according to your docker run command, the container is set to use the "sinclairnet" network. It's not really supported to use custom networks in this container. Sometimes it works, and other times it doesn't. If you want to use a custom network, you should switch to using the thin client of deluge instead of the webui. Or if you want to continue to use the webui, switch to the bridge network.

But as mentioned, it doesn't look like it's even trying to start the webui, so it could be some corrupt files, so try starting fresh first. If it works, copy back you files for your torrents from the backup.

I have a bit of a niche situation that I have been troubleshooting for awhile and had no luck fixing. I have a remote server running this container that I connect to remotely via VPN. Specifically I am using Unifi Site Magic which essentially creates a Site2Site VPN between the two. When I run the container without my ProtonVPN setup I can connect to the webUI with no issues over Site Magic. As soon as I turn on the VPN within the container I can no longer access the webUI. I had initially assumed it had something to do with the LAN_NETWORK setting but I do not think that is the case. I have the IP subnets from each site included in the LAN_NETWORK option but this doesn't solve it. I tried using a different VPN to connect to my router and as long as I add that VPN's CIDR I can connect as expected.

The issues seems to be something with Site Magic specifically but I cannot determine what. Any ideas or suggestions. I have made a workaround but routing the traffic through piHole then nginx on the remote server and then to the container and that works, but I don't understand why I cannot access it directly via the IP. Thanks!

Starting yesterday downloading won't work. New torrents show Error and looking in the Details tab shows "Status: invalid argument". Any tips on how to solve this?

Edit: fixed by upgrading to Unraid 7.2.1

Can this be updated with a dark mode please? Pretty please! I believe the new version 2.2 might have it.
