Currently running 1.8.5

Never any issues with Homebridge, but honestly, it's been so long since I first installed it and having migrated servers, I have no idea which repository my installation is based on.

Yes.

I'd probably uninstall the container and then reinstall to see what's what.

So I uninstalled erased my appdata.  Re installed and restored from backup and seem to be all up to date with the exception of Node.js which is running 18.17.1.  I don't seem to have issue with that and I have till April till its not supported.  Out of curiosity what version of Node.js are you running?

I've been running v20.18.0

I installed the app but it seems that there is still an issue regarding the logging. I tried to understand the hints in the link but I didn't get it.

Can someone help me out what to do?

Thanks in advance. 😁

Like @rud and @ccano2011, I too can't access the web UI of AdGuard Home. Hopefully, the maintainer will fix the problem.

EDIT: I can access the web UI with the attached template, but I'm stuck on the error `validating ports: listen tcp 0.0.0.0:53: bind: address already in use.`

Unraid noob here trying to get AdGuard Home running on 6.12.14. Keep getting permissions errors even after running the Fix Permissions tool on my appdata folder. Also tried deleting the AdGuard's config directories and reinstalling, still no luck. Can't reach the GUI. How do I fix this?

Secondly, I previously experimented with TrueNAS Scale and when I ran AdGuard on it, AdGuard used the same IP as my server and would resolve requests no problem. Is there a way to make AdGuard do that instead? I can't even figure out the right terms to google to figure out how to make that work.

Howdy everyone. I am having an issue trying to access my OnlyOffice Document server. The Document Server was working great until an update for the document server at the end of November. After that update, I could no longer access the WebUI for the document server by putting in the ip address and port number. (for example 192.168.0.15:8080). When left clicking on the OnlyOffice Document server Docker icon and selecting WebUI, it just takes you to the Unraid Main page. I have been trying to figure this out for a while, and I have no idea how to resolve it. Anyone have any ideas?

Things I have tried:

I can still access it from the HTTPS port but not the HTTP port.

I have changed port numbers.

I have deleted and reinstalled the docker container.

Rebooted the server.

Thank you so much.

Hello Everyone,

It's possible use a single istance of ADGuard Home to cover two distinct network?
I've a "Home Network" and an "IOT" Network.

At the moment of the config I've configured ADGuard to use the Home Network custom.

So for the Home network is working.

It's possible to configure it also to serve the IOT Network?
Or I need a second instance?

Hey everyone,

I need some help, my onlyoffice in Nextcloud has stopped working. I recently updated my server to 7.0 and then 7.0.1. I noticed that my onlyoffice docker went missing. I re-installed OnlyOffice and was able to get it back up and running.

image.thumb.png.cd3e666b615c92c287901f65d713aa62.png

I figured this is all I needed. But when I try to open any of my documents I get the following error in the upper right hand corner

image.png.e0873976419a113e48a02b90ccccf367.png

I figured maybe it just needed to be updated on the Nextcloud side of things. So I made sure the OnlyOffice connector was working

image.thumb.png.00acce2c1f7fe49aaa2406490797be34.png

And I made sure to check the app was up to date as well

image.thumb.png.a9ae707bf3218ebf6a457cb07257473a.png

But like I said now it won't open any of my documents or create any new ones. When I try to create a new document I get the following error

image.png.6079da4432a23ba3655cace5153c5489.png

So if anyone has some insight on how to fix this it would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if I should have posted this on the Nextcloud thread but if I am in the wrong place can a Mod please move this to the correct location.

Thank you!

@Siwat2545 While I appreciate the effort, I think it'd be best to remove OnlyOffice. Like many others have reported, it doesn't work. Have you tested it? Either there are directions missing or something else is wrong... it seems like the issue is that there's no database in the container and there's nothing about setting one up.

Hello,
I have installed Onlyoffice Documents on Unraid 7.01.
I have taken 8087 and 4430 as ports.
I can access the page via port 8087, via 4430 I always get “Connection failed”.
What can I do? I can't use Nginx either, every time I want to create a Letsencrypt certificate, I get “Internal error”.
The Unraid PC is accessible from outside, so other Docker. How do I get OnlyOffice to be accessible via SSL? In the end, it should be “built in” to nextcloud.

Hello, does someone know why every time I update the container I have to login again in Tailscale using the link in the log? Is it normal to reset on update?

Hi there,

I have some issues and questions:

My setting:

  • latest adguard home container v0.107.61 running on latest unraid build v7.1.2.

  • fritzbox 6690 on 192.168.y.1, DNS set to adguard IP: 192.168.y.2

  • clients get forced IP addresses via DHCP (router), adguard DHCP not in use

  • adguard docker port set to 3000 (default)

  • various clients (PC's, phones, iPads) access WAN using the routet DNS, traffic (DNS calls, filtered rejects, etc, is listet by adguard GUI).

My issues:

  1. calling adguard's GUI via 192.168.y.2:3000 gets rejected. I have to delete the port from the address to get access. (since installation)

  2. adguard GUI reports only one client to generate traffic: 192.168.0.0 (since last update on 2025-05-23)

  3. forcing DNS IPv6 address via router blocks WAN access completely (since install, I think)

Any ideas?

Many thanks in advance.

I had the same issue, just fixed it:

  1. go into Nextcloud admin settings, then onlyoffice

  2. copy the secret key

  3. open your only office docker settings through the unraid gui

  4. edit the jwt_secret, paste the secret key from Nextcloud

  5. save, apply

  6. It started opening documents again for me, I restarted the containers, just to make sure it worked, it appears something was messed up with the secret even though it was recently working.

Hi all,

I have a brand new Unraid server and am still a bit of a noob with all of this. I'm trying to set up AdGuard home as my DNS on my router, both because I'd like to have the control / statistics but also because I'd like to eventually do some manual DNS rewrites to have friendly domains point to some of my services while on LAN, and I'm having some issues. Apologies if the post gets long. I want to try and provide sufficient context, but in doing so may provide some irrelevant info. If I'm missing any important info, please let me know, and I'd be happy to provide it. I've also taken the opportunity to ask about a few unrelated things I'm wondering about.

What I've done:

  • First, I saw my router's DHCP range was all the way from .2 to .254, so I changed that to end at .200 so I had some room for static IPs

  • Then I installed the container on Unraid setting the IP to .201, and I was then able to access the WebGUI on .201:3000

  • I tried both setting one device's DNS to this server and my whole router, and I'm a bit confused by the results, which were identical on both

    • To be specific, I am using Asus Merlin software and did this under WAN -> Assign DNS Server -> Changed DNS Server to my AdGuard IP

  • Everything in the interface itself seemed normal. Internet traffic was flowing, queries were showing up, and rules seemed to be getting picked up, but none of this made sense relative to what I was seeing on the clients

    • For example, I tried setting up very simple DNS rewrites or blocks just to test things, like rewriting a random website to google.com, blocking google.com, things like that

    • Whenever I tried going to any of those websites, they loaded just fine on the client device (not following the rules, ie it loaded instead of redirecting, loaded when it should be blocked, etc.)

    • What's very weird to me is I then refreshed the query log and it showed the request being blocked or rewritten like it should be

    • Also, when I go to something like dnscheck.tools, I don't think I'm getting what I expect there as it shows my DNS being Cloudflare, but I haven't changed the default setting in AdGuard away from quad9

  • I also noticed that I wasn't able to access some of my local services when I had this running. Tower.local still seemed to work, but I couldn't access my Firefox instance that I had spun up on Unraid anymore by IP

  • There is probably some obvious user error going on here, but the above pattern of facts all seems very odd to me, so wondering if anyone has any ideas

A few unrelated questions that have popped up for me:

  • So if I want to be able to cleanly see all of my clients in Adguard and assign this DNS to my network broadly at the router level, I assume I need to use Adguard as my DHCP server too, otherwise all of the requests just show up under the umbrella client of my router? Are there any tricks to porting things over without breaking current reservations I have set (like for Unraid)? Worried about ending up in some sort of trap when trying to get things set up where I end up unable to access things

    • Relatedly, could I end up in some sort of loop if Adguard is running on my Unraid server, and my Unraid server gets its IP from Adguard which needs to spin up in order to function?

    • For clarity, I have not enabled the AdGuard DHCP or tried that yet, still using my router

  • I also manually set my Unraid DNS to quad9 so that there wouldn't be a loop issue where my Unraid can't access the internet if I'm doing something with my AdGuard container. I think that's the best practice?

Thank you much in advance!

Hi everyone,

After some kind advice from @JorgeB (thanks for showing me the support link) I'm hoping to get a bit of AdGuard Home support here. Please bear with me if I’m a bit lost when it comes to Unraid, Docker containers, or even forum etiquette. As a new Unraider I’ve been confused but this is the first time I am simply lost (and it seems like this should be a simpler setup).  I truly appreciate any help or guidance you’re willing to offer.

I’m trying to set up AdGuard Home on Unraid, but I’m running into issues where it doesn’t seem to block anything.

Here’s how I’ve set up the AdGuard Home container in Unraid: (Tailscale off until it works)

  • Name: AdGuard-Home

  • Overview: AdGuard Home is a network-wide software for blocking ads & tracking. Once set up, it covers all your home devices without needing client-side software.

  • Repository: adguard/adguardhome

  • Network Type: Custom: br0

  • Fixed IP Address: 192.168.2.123

  • Subnet: 192.168.2.0/24

  • Use Tailscale: Off

  • Privileged Mode: Off

  • Console Shell Command: Bash

  • WebUI Port: 3000

  • DNS Server Ports:

    • TCP: 53

    • UDP: 53

  • Volume Mappings:

    • /mnt/user/appdata/adguard/workingdir → /opt/adguardhome/work

    • /mnt/user/appdata/adguard/config → /opt/adguardhome/conf

  • Container Variable: CA_TS_FALLBACK_DIR → /opt/adguardhome/work

I’ve configured my router’s DNS to point to 192.168.2.123 (AdGuard’s IP). I also added a backup DNS in case the server goes down, which I read is recommended.

Despite reading through documentation and watching several setup videos, I can’t figure out why it’s not working. I’m wondering if it could be something in my Unraid network settings, but I’m not sure.

From the Unraid terminal, I can’t ping the AdGuard DNS IP. Also, when I click “Test Upstreams” in AdGuard, it throws an error and fails to connect.

Here are the upstream DNS servers I’ve configured in AdGuard (based on recommended settings I found online):

https://dns10.quad9.net/dns-query

9.9.9.10

149.112.112.10

2620:fe::10

2620:fe::fe:10

8.8.8.8

8.8.4.4

At this point, I’m stuck and would really appreciate any advice or troubleshooting tips from anyone kind enough to help.

Thanks in advance!

re: The OnlyOffice container - more informative than anything.

I realized recently my redis server wasn't being used despite the variables for ip/port/etc being set correctly.

Took some time but eventually I learned that the documentserver community edition does not have redis enabled by default even if you have one setup in the variables. Here is a snippet from the startup script for the container (run-document-server.sh) starting at line 132.

if [[ ${PRODUCT_NAME}${PRODUCT_EDITION} == "documentserver" ]]; then

REDIS_ENABLED=false

else

REDIS_ENABLED=true

fi

The REDIS_ENABLED variable is forced to "false" if your PRODUCT_EDITION is not "enterprise" aka the community free edition. Setting the variable REDIS_ENABLED to "true" manually in the template is not enough to change this because of the product edition.

I learned this eventually from a post in OO's forums trying to figure out why my onlyoffice and redis containers weren't interacting despite checking all my settings and network were correct. The rationale given by them is that since the community edition only allows 20 connections vs enterprise being unlimited, redis isn't needed even though its listed as a requirement. I just wish this information was easier to find regarding the docker container.

This is purely informative not directive so people don't wonder what they were doing wrong and end up checking their network/containers/etc.

I have had a working setup of OO within Nextcloud via a reverse proxy (SWAG) for a few years now. I recently noticed that the OO document server won't open documents in the browser anymore. In firefox I get a message:

"Firefox Can’t Open This Page. To protect your security, [my server].dyndns.com will not allow Firefox to display the page if another site has embedded it. To see this page, you need to open it in a new window."

In Edge/Chrome it just says connection refused. I suspect this is a reverse proxy config issue. Perhaps a security setting in both browsers now? No errors in Nextcloud logs, following messages in OO docker log:

OnlyOffice1.pngOnlyOffice2.pngOnlyOffice3.png

Can anyone point me in the right direction? preferably with specifics, please. If you need diagnostics, please advise
