I'm completely new to Linux and Unraid. I got your ArkASA Docker up and running with mods and everything, but I've been trying to set up the cluster properly for hours. You can travel, but then the character disappears from the cluster and you have to keep creating a new one. There is also a file in the cluster folder, so I assume the upload is working, but the automatic download once it's on the other server isn't working, so I have to create a new character... Also, this happens in both directions: as soon as I use the travel function in the cluster, the character disappears. It is also no longer available for download on the server from which it was launched.

I hope you have some tips that I can understand :D

Ark is ... temperamental. Your Docker containers must be set up so that the "cluster folder" is shared among all your Arks. You could use a path mapping or like I did for our ark-se cluster, just have them all use the same 'ServerFiles' mapping, but then have to separate all of the Configs&Data. ether way it will require you to make some additional path maps.

Hello, I’m running a Conan server on my server.
Completely vanilla, no mods.

Unfortunately, the server crashes at irregular intervals.
Then all players get kicked, and I have to restart the Docker.

Can anyone help me with this? Tyvm

This is a common issue with Conan, especially when a lot of structures/players are on the server and there is nothing I can do about that.

This game is running through WINE and therefore such errors can happen.

sorry to reply to this thread in this way, but i made a post asking about disabling the default fields in the edit screen in favor of lines in the config file.

i cannot see my own post, nor the response @ich777 made to it, the thread goes from august 11, to august 19. i did get a notification, but it just leads back to the most recent post in the thread. thanks.

I don't remember the exact message but I remember, was it RUST or a similar game and about the start parameters correct?

I think my answer was somehow that you have to use a combination from start parameters and from the configuration files since my container is designed like that.

thank you. may i suggest the ability in the future to OMIT the parameters if left blank in the docker setup and to not apply defaults, in the event a server owner wishes to control the variables within the game itself.

I didn‘t know that you could do that directly from the game.

Usually you have to edit the config files but this was actually done on purpose to make it easier for users to set it up through the template. :)

yes, with rust anyway.

all you have to do is specify +server.identity string in your launch parameters and it will pull everything from config file. then you can modify settings within the game admin panel.

I‘m not too sure if the admin panel was a thing back then.

However it is like it is in my container.

Hey I think this may have broken my instance, me and friends are stuck on 1.20.12 due to un-updated mods and not sure how but looks like my container got updated. Any advise?

I create a second tag for the container shortly with dotNet 7.0 is that okay for you, so to speak you would have only to change the repository in the template.

Please edit your container and at Repository make sure to add :dotnet7 at the end, so to speak that your repository look like either: ghcr.io/ich777/vintagestory:dotnet7 or ghcr.io/ich777/vintagestory:dotnet7 depending which container registry you are using.

If you should ever upgrade to the latest version you just have to remove :dotnet7

Hello all, my friends and me use your container for playing valheim a few month now … and it's working flawless (beside the fact that BepInEx died on the way … really not that important … I just disabled it).

But since the start the service is unreliable in terms of availability. Meaning: Every one, two or three days the valheim server can no longer be connected (question mark or cross in the valheim server list). The solution is always just a simple reboot of the docker container ... after that, everything is back to normal. I even set a scheduled task to reboot the container every night ... but still 50% of the time i have to reboot it manually before we can start a session.

Is there any explanation for this behaviour … anything I can do?

I have a dynamic ip and use the dyndns service of my fritz box (xxxxx.myfritz.net:2456). My friends and i use this name ... is that possibly the problem? Connection loss when my internet address changes?

I checked my reboot script ... it restarts the container every night at 3:00 am, but my fritz box renews its ip roundabout 4:00 am ...

Changed the reboot script starting time to 06:00 am ... we will see if this shows any progress ...

Most likely yes.

I know Fritzboxes but I don‘t have one here in Austria, howerver you can try to use something like DuckDNS and see if that is working better, I assume that the server list caches the IP and when your IP changes the IP isn‘t correct anymore but this is just a guess.

The caching part makes a lot of sense ... i will try the above approach with the schedule change and maybe another dyndns provider. Get in touch again when I know for sure whether one of the approaches worked. Thanks so far ...

Hey! I've been trying to fix this but with no luck.
Not sure if you are still supporting this but i have an issue.
Satisfactory Game Server
I can play locally no problem, but my friends can find the server, it appears "Offline - Server Name Pending"
I think the issue is here:
"LogOnline: OSS: Created online subsystem instance for: NULL
LogOnline: OSS: TryLoadSubsystemAndSetDefault: Loaded subsystem for type [NULL]"

But I can't manage to fix it, would really appreciate if you could find the time to help! Thank you!
