No worries about that, it possibly couldn‘t get the update, however most of my containers are self maintaining and they pull updates on container restarts.

This is a known thing if you are a few versions behind since Docker is out of date.

Hello Everyone

i have run into an issue with the install of the RUST docker. This is the error i am getting:

Please post a screenshot from your template.

What I would recommend doing:

  1. Remove the container

  2. Remove the folder for Rust in your appdata directory

  3. Grab a fresh copy from the CA and click Apply without changing anything

  4. Open the logs and wait for it to finish <- this might take some time, please don't restart the container even if it seems like it's frozen

well part of my issue was i was using the RUST id instead of the dedicated server id.... the new issue is it states that i have no subscription, which im confused seeing i own the game. is there something that im missing?

And that's the error, don't do that unless it's not hidden under Show more and only fill in when marked with the red asterisk.

Hello,

First id like to thank you for all the great work you have done on these containers, they are great!

Ive been having some issues getting mods to automanage as well as having allot of issues with changes to the gameuserfiles.ini for the Ark SE server container. Usually resulting in a game never starting up even after 20-30 min.

I am starting fresh, including a new share and completely fresh install of the container and am now getting the following error:

/opt/scripts/start-server.sh: line 56: cd: /serverdata/serverfiles/ShooterGame/Binaries/Linux: No such file or directory

---Something went wrong, can't download Librarys, putting server in sleep mode---

rm: cannot remove '/serverdata/serverfiles/ShooterGame/Binaries/Linux/lib.tar.gz': No such file or directory

I just wanted to confirm if its possible this is related to the Ark update that came recently or if this is an issue on my side.

Please find attached some screenshots to support my issue:

I'm not sure what they've did but now the AppID 376030 downloads the Windows Dedicated Server and not the Linux Dedicated server, maybe they have abandoned it?

I'll pull the template for now from the CA App.

Hello ich777,

I'm having the same problem, but I've been searching... It is possible that the AppID is having an error or problem, 3 hours ago they updated it to add the new Aquatica DLC and here you can see that they have added some things:

image.png

Let's hope they solve it today, since this afternoon they officially launch the DLC and the official servers.

We will continue testing until we find the solution.

Thank you very much for your collaboration with these containers! I already have 6 ASA servers working perfectly and now I'm going to see if I can get some on ASE with the new DLC.

@Mainfrezzer already investigated a bit further and it seems they broke a lot with the latest update, we'll have to wait.

I can't guarantee that I can fix it in a reasonable amount of time if they release a fix on their end, however I'll try.

Since im still stuck updating the game on windows (over 1 hour already) im a bit limited to check everything at the moment. They at least acknowledged that they broke stuff^^ (although theres more broken than just mods)

But from what ive seen so far its more than likely that they dropped the linux support completely since the last "working" linux version already had huge memory leak issues.

New Client versions also cant join any old server, so if you use the preaquatica branch they pushed, you need to downgrade your clients as well.(who knows how that works with epic)

As for a possible "quick and personal solution", if you dont run mods
You could get your servers up and running with the new patch if you swap to my container image for the moment (ghcr.io/mainfrezzer/ase-docker:latest), it runs the windows binaries instead of linux.

Things to note there: it needs "--ulimit nofile=2048:65530" in extra parameters to run
Also, any link you might have placed in the unraid template probably doesnt work because of weird character escaping. If you have a banlist, dynamicconfig or sorts like that, declare them in the appropriate .ini config file (also dont forget to copy the LinuxConfig files to the WindowsConfig folder)

As for mods not working, nothing that we can do apart from rolling the servers back to preaquatica

Edit: Finally the client updated and my god, they just reset every setting, how i hate wildcard

Edit2: Got around to publish the container on github. Links have been changed

Edit3:
Issues found so far, the game "thinks" you dont own specific dlc, like thecenter.
The gameserver rules have changed apparently. Specific dinos cannot be transfered anymore. CrystalWyverns didnt deploy anymore. Tekstrider vanished off Aberration.

Edit4: theres a handy little list apparently

Current Known Issues

The release of the new DLC along with the related game updated brought an important list of known and so far unresolved issues:

Characters being wiped at server transfer in a cluster.

Almost all Steam Workshop mods are not compatible.

Genesis Season Pass content fails to deploy and load outside Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 maps, resulting on deleted content on previous saves. The same can happen by content of other maps as well. Creature affected will suffer also of cryopod "raptorization" making them useless.

Clients fail to launch Crystal Isles, resulting in a crash at map loading.

Clients fail to start The Center, porting the player back to main menu without any error log.

Multiple assets has been removed by the core game files related to events (including those being still previously working like WinterWonderland), multiple skins (including those related to ARK: The Animated Series), multiple creature assets like animations and sounds, Vivox client, PGARK (procedural generated maps), some Shader Model 4 assets for legacy hardware.

Crossplay with Epic Game Store is no more.

Having a problem with the Valheim server. I had installed a while back but this is a clean install on a new device. I get the following error

[S_API FAIL] Tried to access Steam interface SteamNetworkingUtils004 before SteamAPI_Init succeeded.

src/clientdll/cminterface.cpp (2124) : !BLoggedOn()

This is not strictly an error, this is just a warning.

How much resources does the container consume, usually that message means that the container is running and waiting for connections.

I'm assuming this is why it keeps crashing every time I try to create a new map.

Do you have special characters in your password or server name?

Is your password at least 6 characters long?

Please remove VALIDATE from the Validate variable, that won't do anything.

Resources however seem fine for a running server.

Is the container constantly restarting or is it sitting there after Starting server?

You posted a log where it pulled an update.

I removed the VALIDATE option, having reinstalled it. It's stuck on Start Server. Attached my world and server name if it helps. Password is alphanumeric 6 characters.

I did try a non configured install and it had the same issue. By non configured, I mean I left everything as default and it still would not generate any world or start the server. It worked fine previously, so it's clearly something on my end.

It's not stuck, it is started. There is no further log output and that means the server is started.

How do you try to connect to the server? Have you yet tried to connect to the server with your server IP or what is the exact issue?

It's a known issue that you won't find the server in the server list since there are so many servers out there and refreshing is some kind of hit and miss.
