Satisfactory Game Server

I really can't tell because you posted so little information.

Did you change any settings in the template, did you change any config files, do you have other services running which are reachable from the outside world, did you do a port forwarding in your router, do you have a static or dynamic public IP address?

if i want to force the container to take more RAM, can i just create a variable called "memory" and get it to "16G"? or is there a different way of doing it?

my satisfaction server appears to be hitting a memory limit. after people spend a little time building out stuff, things just stop working. the users all see white ghosts of whatever they are trying to put down that never actually gets saved to the server. other times they see objects that have been removed as if they are still there. they have to log out and log back in just so that they can continue playing. i'm hoping more memory fixes it

The container by default does not limit the amount of RAM the application inside the container can use, so to speak the application inside the container can by default use all your available memory and even crash your server.

This is something you have to ask the developers from the game since this is a application limitation that it doesn't use more RAM, not a container limitation as explained above.

Hi,

I installed the Dayz server from Ich777 and adjusted the serverDZ cfg in Saves as described.

I only changed the server/host name and set a password. According to the log, the server is running.

I can't find it even by name or IP, whether in the game or via the launcher.

I have another Minecraft and Satisfactory server with the same IP, and I can access both of them using the IP.

Can you please try to not change anything and see if you can connect by your local IP?

Do you try to connect to the dedicated server with your public IP or with your Server IP?

What is the exact error message?

I cannot connect to any IP address.

And I am not receiving any error messages in the log.

I meant the message in the game when you are trying to connect.

However if you report the container as broken and not working, I'll pull it from CA.

When I click on “Connect directly”, nothing happens. And as I said, when I search by IP or name, it doesn't find anything. It doesn't matter whether I search on Communite or LAN. For example, when I start the Dayz server on my PC, I find it directly under LAN, without having to search for an IP or name.

Okay, then I'll deprecate the container since I can't test it.

Thanks for the report.

Sorry! I didnt knew what you needed. All default settings, didnt change any config files, ports are in the router, static ip and doublechecked. I used your docker in the past and worked flawlessly, its just now that is giving me problems.

It shouldn't give you issue, I just tried it over here and it works like it should.

Please double check your port forwarding.

Having an issue with my Garrysmod container where installing and booting the server seems correct, but when connecting to the server in Gmod the game says it is an "out older version of the game" and the server lists it as outdated 2023.06.28. I had it working a few years ago, no sure if his is from when it was last working or some update. GameID is 4020, haven't even gotten to port forwarding, just connecting locally. Anyone have any similar experience or idea of what I've got wrong?

Is this a new installation or your existing installation from 2023, if it's the installation from 2023 then please try the following:

  1. Stop the container

  2. Delete the steamapps folder

  3. Start the container

  4. Open the log from the container if it pulls a update

Thanks for the help! Seems like this is working now but here is the info for reference.

I tried it on the original installation, got the error, so I uninstalled and I redownloaded it and got the same error. May not have completely cleared all the old files. I tried this, it did not pull an update. But there is and has been a "force update" button present that previously would attempt to update but not resolve the issue.

Here is the log from that forced update. So far it seems like this worked and it was just failing the update and leaving old files in place:

Unfortunately, I am having a problem with the minecraftbedrockedition container. The container no longer loads the latest version of the server, even though ‘latest’ is set in the settings. As a result, the client displays the error message "The host you are trying to join is using an older version of Minecraft. Please try again once the host has updated their version."

I know that the container from ich777 is no longer supported, and I have already set up a new container from binhex.

However, my son now wants to play the old world on the new server as well. I copied the old world from the worlds folder to the new world folder and adjusted the server.properties. Unfortunately, I still cannot connect to the server. The client displays the following error message: "Your version is not supported. No connection to the world."

Is there a way to transfer my old world to the new server, or can I get the old ich777 container to load the latest server version?
Thank's for any advice.

It should be possible to just transfer the world folder and of course your preferences, otherwise I would ask for help in the Binhex support thread for his container.

Valheim Docker Container rebooting every 12 seconds

I'm trying to set up a Valheim server, and I've searched through this forum thread trying to find a solution. I'm running Unraid 7.1.4, and trying to do a basic instance with no mod support. I've done a full wipe of all Docker instances and a clean reinstall of the docker container multiple times. No matter what I set it to, the docker container reboots every 12 seconds. When it reboots, it closes the log window, so I don't know if what I am pasting below is complete.

Line 33 states "Error! App '896660' state is 0x202 after update job." Could this have something to do with the container rebooting?

I'm running the Conan Exiles server (works great other than this), and we are getting a frequent crash for the pictured issue. It appears to be running out of memory and I cannot seem to find a way to allocate/free up the memory inside the container. There is plenty of RAM and storage for it in the docker settings, but I'm not sure what to do next with it otherwise.

When rebooted, it works fine for a while and then this happens again hours/days later (with or without players logged in)

This is a common issue with Conan and there is nothing I can do about that since this is related becaue the container is running through WINE.

You can ask on the Conan Forums but I don't think that they can solve the issue.

Gotcha, thank you. That helped a lot to know where the issue lies. In looking up the Wine stuff I came across this variable/key that is mentioned that seems to help:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ConanExiles/comments/1dbuiqd/dedicated_server_on_linux_hangs_and_players/
Is this something I can hit with adding a variable/game_params to the container in 'edit'? I tried using the commands in the container console, but its saying I don't have permission.

update with more info/better question

If you wouldn't mind taking a fresh look at your Stationeers docker image for Unraid. They just released a HUGE update yesterday along with some dedicated server changes which might need to be incorporated. After starting the server, I'm seeing almost all shaders aren't getting loaded complaining about the GPU - which there isn't a dedicated one in this Unraid server, just using the onboard Intel Chipset for most things.

I could live with the errors if there was no impact, but I can't tell from the output below if the server is even started, nor can I see it in the server browser, so I assume it's not running. The task stays running, but I don't think it's actually doing anything.

Oh also, your ports that you have allocated aren't the default ports that Stationeers wiki says to use. The 27500 port should be 27016.

State 0x202 means some kind of disk error, usually that there is no free space on the drive.

You can ignore those messages since a dedicated server doesn't use shaders since it's dedicated, sometimes these messages are just there to see what's missing not working and in terms of shaders you can ignore them.

How much resources does the container consume in terms of CPU and RAM (Docker page with Advanced View enabled).

But that's not true for my container, the container listens on 27500 as you can also see here.

Is this a completely new installation or is this an existing installation? Did you also open the ports in your Router/Firewall? Is Hair Pin NAT working? Do you have other services exposed to the Internet.

Hi, glad to hear the errors are benign. I won't worry about them.

As for the connectivity options, different port is fine too - I wasn't sure if that had to be hardcoded someplace. Makes sense that they are adjustable so you can run multiple instances.

Regarding the server joining, this is a new install and I am trying on the LAN first and tried direct connect over both game and steam ports, just in case. I also don't see the server in the game browser. I've done several port-forwarding for other games, but we're not even there yet since it's LAN. I can't see the server from my own game client on my LAN. Does that last message look right for the server to be started? It's currently using .31% CPU and 3.736GiB / 62.58GiB for memory.

I switched the networking to "Host" and then checked netstat in unraid CLI and I don't see any of the ports open for UDP:

root@Medusa:/mnt/user/appdata/stationeers# netstat -nulp | grep 27
udp 0 0 127.0.0.1:55267 0.0.0.0:* 10300/Plex Media Se

udp 0 0 127.0.0.1:123 0.0.0.0:* 1596/ntpd
udp 0 0 127.0.0.1:8125 0.0.0.0:* 29484/netdata

I also run Satisfactory game server on this unraid box and I see the ports open just fine:

root@Medusa:/mnt/user/appdata/stationeers# netstat -nlp | grep 77 | grep Factory
tcp6       0      0 :::7777                 :::*                    LISTEN      28205/FactoryServer
