interwebtech
For past couple months I have been being deluged twice a day with 10 (was 4 for a while, now back up to 10) push notifications that disks are over the threshold e.g., Subject: Warning [TOWER] - Disk 10 is high on usage (76%). (See pic). It was harmless if not annoying so I hadn't done anything other than tweak notification thresholds (no effect). Yesterday I was troubleshooting an ECC error in the logs (fixed by replacing OS USB stick... who'da thunk?) and decided to try and fix this as well. No luck so far so I'm back here to see if anyone has run across this too. I have thresholds set at 90% for warning, 95% for critical. I shouldn't be getting any notifications but for some reason it is sending them. Last night I tried resetting to default as many global disk settings as I could (see pic) Diagnostics attached but I don't see anything in there that looks suspicious. tower-diagnostics-20200113-1122.zip Edited January 13, 2020 by interwebtech Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Have you also checked the individual drives? Any values set at the individual drive level over-ride the global defaults. Quote Link to comment

interwebtech
This is still happening twice a day. The notifications clearly are not obeying the drive settings, either global or per drive. Quote Link to comment
itimpi
You should post your system diagnostics zip file to see if anyone can spot a possible reason. As far as I know you are the only person who has reported anything like this so it must be something specific to your system. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Those setting are saved in: flash\config\plugins\dynamix\dynamix.cfg Check yourself what they are set to, don't post that file here as it can contain text passwords, look for warning="XX" and critical="XX" Quote Link to comment
interwebtech
thanks for taking a look at this. Notifications range from ""high on usage (90%)" to "low on space (92%)". All drives are 8TB. tower-diagnostics-20200331-1103.zip Edited March 31, 2020 by interwebtech Quote Link to comment
jorge16
I am having this problem as well. My settings (global and for drive 2): Warning: 75 % Critical: 90 % Disk is sitting at 73 % Notifications are each day at ~6.47 AM and at ~21.42. Almost every day, some days only once. I have checked the dynamix.cfg and it has the same values as the gui. Hopefully someone can figure this one. Thanks. Quote Link to comment

Now warning is at 80 % (I figured I bump it a little bit as it was close to the limit) and critical is still at 90 % I will update this post if I receive the notifications or a couple days pass without notifications. I've done this several times to no avail. Edited June 8, 2020 by interwebtech Quote Link to comment
sittingmongoose
Just wanted to note, I am having this issue as well. None of the suggestions above helped me. Quote Link to comment
Espressomatic
Interestingly, I'm seeing a warning reported for a disk that's just about at the threshold (70%) but never seeing such warnings for disks which are over their thresholds (all disks set to same defaults). Quote Link to comment
billbord
I'm still seeing this, I hate it so much. Quote Link to comment
billbord
I'm thrilled to report that 6.9.1 fixed this issue for me. 1 Quote Link to comment
billbord
I'm less-than-thrilled to report the issue is back in 6.9.2. Quote Link to comment
sittingmongoose
Yep…it’s happening to me too again! Quote Link to comment
Keichi
Same issue for months now.... Quote Link to comment
Womabre
Also got this issue for years now. The custom threshold is just ignored... I get notifications at 80% which is ridiculous for 10TB drives. The settings in dynamix.cfg are: warning="96" critical="97" unraid v6.12.4 Quote Link to comment
