I'm not a per say expert in any particular topic or section, but I do know this software very well and have been admining a forum for the last 7years. Feel free to contact me if you like or not. My feelings wont be hurt either way.

All the people above are more than capable of taking care of the forum, and their commitment to the community is unquestionable.

Way to step up guys, you have all helped me at least once and I know you will all do a great job. These forums are in very good hands now so Tom can work on the more important stuff, like 5.0

This is true of several of the moderators already selected, so I doubt that is one of the selection criteria.  I'm sure Tom will adjust things as time goes on.

We are all human.  But I know it is too easy to let frustration show when responding, or for a comment to be interpreted differently.

 

Hopefully the need for Tom to intervene will be infrequent.

The only stupid questions are the ones you don't ask because you think they're stupid.    We've all felt the pang of ignorance when asking something we KNOW we shouldn't have to ask, but I have yet to encounter any kind of curt responses.  I was really referring to the heated philosophical situations that inevitably occur here and the quick typing sharp shooters that react before a proper cool down.    I'm really looking forward to the new direction Tom is taking things, because I think a lot of these exchanges would have been avoided with better communication, instead of supposition.

Thanks for the vote of confidence guys. I'm by far not the greatest unRAID guru like all of the other guys, but I have been around forums for a long time. I'll do my best to lend a hand to the gurus so they can do what they do best.

I haven't seen anything "un-delicate" in them.

On the contrary, I always find them most helpful.
