I was able to get it back by installing another plugin.

 

Update UD and then set the new debug in UD settings.  Set "Debug Log Level" to "Refresh and Update".  Then go to the UD page and let it sit for a minute or so.  Then post new diagnostics here.  Set the log level back to "None".  The logging can get very chatty and fill your log,

    I have a strange situation where I plug in a drive and after a short delay it shows, with the UNMOUNT button active.   However pressing that button seems to think for a moment and then returns to displaying that button.   The syslog says that the unmount has failed because the drive is not mounted!

     

    Any idea what can cause that and can it be recovered from without rebooting the server?

    Does the drive in question show a "Dev X" designtation or a "sdX" designtation on the UD page?

     

    The disk can probably be removed, but I'd be careful because you might have something with the same mount point already mounted at /mnt/disks/.  Your safest bet is a reboot.

     

    Post diagnostics before doing anything else.

    Earlier in the day I had it mounted by UD.   It is showing in UD as dev1 and the sdX designation is sdb.

     

    it does not show up as mounted when I use the ‘df’ command.

     

    My system is set to power down overnight so I expect it to be rectified in the morning.   Just thought it was worth asking in case there was some specific action I should take?

    The disk is mounted as sdh1 and not sdb1:

    A reboot is needed to clear this up.

    I jave everyting set as you  requested however it is not doing anything nor am I getting anything in the log...  can we confirm which screen you wish me to sit on?  i have had the screen from the plug in open, i have had the main screen open where unassigned devices is just doing the wave.. and i still do not see anything in the logs..

    If you aren't seeing anything in the logs, then something is keeping the UD page from running at all.

     

    Did you try the 'Ctrl', 'Shift', 'j' to see if there are any JQuery errors?

     

    My suggestion at this point is to reboot in safe mode, then install CA and UD and see if UD will display.  If it does, then you have a plugin interferring with UD.  Add plugins back one at a time until UD stops working.

    The last image shows how without the unassigned drives plug in active my Cache drives fail to load...  i am not sure how to modify that information and maybe something is causing this error from this problem.

     

    but it is as you requested and same thing occurs.. wave for unassigned.  still not loading.

    in safe mode this is the only thing showing up in the php log file now..

    I'm pretty sure it is the JQuery error.  I'm working on it.
