there is no error , the container starts fine , but the web interface doesn't open , no error message

What does the log say from the container?

Have you also tried to empty your browser cache?

If nothing works I would recommend to:

  1. Delete the Container
  2. Delete the tvheadend folder from you appdata directory
  3. Pull a fresh copy from the CA App

Hi together,

I started working with unraid last year and I'm very happy with it. Recently I found my (a bit too) old DVB-S card (DigitalDevices Cine S2) and installed it in my unraid server.

After installing the dvb drivers plugin I switched to digital devices driver since it is a DD card, but I can't see anything in dvb info section.

Do you have any idea which could be the problem?

Thank you in advance.

This is a V5.5 card, this plugin supports only V6.0+ cards.

You can try however the LibreELEC package but I'm not too sure if that works because V5.5 cards are pretty old now...

Thanks for very fast reply.

I will try libreELEC package and will give a feedback afterwards.

Now I can see two modules in dvbinfo, but without version.

This should not be a problem (can't parse every version correctly since some modules have very weird naming schemes for the version if they are existent at all).

Can you open up a terminal from unRAID and do:

ls /dev/dvb

If you get a output with in your case "adapter0" and "adapter1" your card should work fine. :)

Yes, this works! I see adapter0 and adapter1. Installed tvheadend docker container and can see these two modules two.

Thank you!!

Will plug two cables this evening and hope that the rest will work also.

I can not for the life of me get my HVR2250/SAA7164 working. I finally got the DVB driver to install and modprobe, and it shows in the systemlog, but it doesn't show in the DBV Plugin, nor does /dev/dvb exist. Rebooted multiple times with no change. Trying to use it with Plex Live TV feature.

System Info

Unraid Version:6.9.2

Kernel:5.10.28-Unraid

Compile Date:Wed Apr 7 08:23:18 PDT 2021

Thanks for getting back so quickly! I was surprised it wasn't just install and go...

Some cards like Hauppauge need some tweaks and is even discribed in the Linux TV Wiki because these cards are a bit "special"... :D

Please do the following:

In Unraid go to 'Main' click on 'Flash' (blue text) then append 'saa7164.card=8' to the green box like:

image.thumb.png.0a2b3ee8aa7d6d5d674b9fdf8b67f364.png

press 'Apply' on the bottom and then reboot.

After that the directory /dev/dvb should be visible and the tuners should show up.

No luck. =(
root@HomeSRV:~# ls /dev/dvb
/bin/ls: cannot access '/dev/dvb': No such file or directory

sorry see attached.

From what I see you've selected the TBS-OS package to download, please select the LibreELEC package and reboot once more, from your logs everything look alright except that the wrong package gets installed.

Please also don't use the TVHeadedn plugin, I would rather recommend using a container instaed of the plugin.

If it doesn't show up after the reboot please pull the Diagnostics again and post them here.
