  1. Is there a way to change the port?
  2. I finally fixed the permission issue (thanks), and the new error for TubeArchivist-ES is: "Failure running machine learning native code"
  3. Ideally I would like the system to check file integrity (checksum), and if invalid, restore the file(s) from parity (or something else better?). Perhaps Unraid cannot do this because parity is not done at the file level (done at the drive level). I use BTRFS via Unraid, but I don't think Unraid uses BTRFS for file restores. Perhaps future Unraid has decided to use ZFS instead of BTRFS.
  4. How do I access different SMB shares as different username on the same machine (MS Windows)? SMB Security = Private I want to create multiple users with different access levels. I want to access the share from the same machine using different user accounts (permission levels). Use Cases: 1) My Windows backup program needs read/write permissions to the backup share. But when I'm accessing the share not using the backup software, I don't want write permissions. I also don't want my backup program to have access to other shares. 2) I don't want to always access my photos with read/write permissions. When I just want to view my photos from the same device, I want read only. But if I need to modify a file, I want write access, and want to use a different user account (permission level). Thank you.
  5. Might there be a way to output the files that are being acted upon? I would prefer lsattr after the expected action to verify the file attribute has changed. The output would be useful because the script won't let you know if you made a typo.
  6. No domain. Home network. "WORKGROUP". I'm assuming it might have something to do with "SMB: remove NTLMv1 support".
  7. I lost SMB access to shares too. Windows 7 Reverted from 6.11.0 to 6.10.3, and now I have access to my shares again from Windows 7.
  8. DNS settings not saved/restored when updating container. When I updated my docker container, I lost my DNS Upstream DNS Servers configuration. Later I noticed there's settings within the Unraid template for "PIHOLE_DNS_" to set the Upstream DNS servers. This will restore the settings when the container changes/updated. But I would prefer to do this through the official PiHole WebUI, not the template. Is there a way to save the configuration made through the WebUI to persist when updating the container?
  9. Thanks, I'll need to remember that. I was trying to fix the "errors" before starting/committing they array.
  10. Thank you for the "tabbed view". Though I would like to know if it makes logical/intuitive sense to have pool and device specific actions in the "Array Operations" tab? Orw ould it not be more intuitive to at least have the messages/errors on the same tab? And actionable within the same tab, or clicking down into the pool and/or device? That's where I would expect to manage the pool and/or device.
  11. I finally got it to work. I had to scroll down to the bottom of the page (which is far off my screen), and click to start the array...even though the pool isn't in the array. I might have had to put a check mark in a box, but can't remember 100%...but look in "Array Operation" for clues (even though it's not part of the array). The hokey organization part is the pool devices are not part of the array, yet there's tasks that appear under "Array Operations". So you can't manage the pools at the pool. You can't manage the devices at the device. Another hokey issue was my other pool didn't have the right partition. When you click on the drive/device/pool, you can't erase or format. Again you have to scroll to the bottom of the page under "Array Operations", and put a check mark in a box to format the "unmountable" drives, and manually verify you are formatting the correct drive. I wish I can manage the device/pool in one place, and the same place where the error/info messages are located. Like clicking the pool name, or clicking the device name. It's also confusing using the word "cache". Cache seems to have dual meanings. There's the pool named "cache" and there's the cache functionality. This gets more confusing when dealing with shares+cache+pool+disks. I'm not sure if I'm doing something completely wrong, or if this should be constructive feedback. I have my main protected array (parity + data (which Unraid confusingly calls disks, because I have disks outside of the array)). I have a cache pool. This is used for cache, but also docker and VM and Unraid files, so it's not really 100% "cache" pool, at least not by my definition. I'd like to see this organized better to separate cache, VM, Unraid, docker. I have a pool (JBOD eventually) for backups. I have a pool (JBOD eventually) for temporary/junk/scratch/partial downloads. tower-diagnostics-20220910-1137.zip
  12. I have a pool (not party of the array) with a device/drive that is said to be "wrong": This is because I took out the previous drive, and replaced it with a larger drive. I transferred all the data from the old drive to the new drive. How do I tell Unraid to forget about the old drive, use the new drive, and not affect any other part of the configuration (other pools, array, shares)? I also don't want to erase the contents on the new drive.
  13. It's my understanding bad things happen when the "Minimum free space" is set to 0 KB, and the drive/share no longer has free space.
  14. I think what I needed to do is... Share Settings: Use cache pool (for new files/directories) = Only Select cache pool = <My Second Pool> This will then disable the other options. Surprisingly, it also doesn't allow me to set "Minimum free space".
  15. When creating a share for my second pool, I want to only include the disk in my second pool, and the disk is not listed. Only the disks in my array are listed. tower-diagnostics-20220905-1741.zip
  16. How do I get a docker container to use both a public DNS name resolution server, and my local LAN router? I want to use the public DNS name resolution server for Internet names, and want to use my router for LAN names. For example: I want to ping google.com (Internet) I want to ping tower (local LAN) Thank you.
  17. You are right. It still would be nice to have something on the Dashboard letting us know there's an update available. I mainly use the Dashboard to assess health, activity, status. The concept of a Dashboard is a quick visualization, without having to look for stuff. The plugin goes a step further and just updates apps/plugins, but some people may not auto update everything, so it would still be nice to have a dashboard widget.
  18. Just found this plugin: CA Auto Update Applications
  19. I would like to see web browser push notifications for "Notifications".
  20. I would like a dashboard widget/plugin for updates to plugins and dockers.
  21. I would like a dashboard widget/plugin for notifications.
  22. This concerns me. I don't want to build upon a platform that has lost support, enhancements, integration, or popularity. Some of these plugins should have been incorporated into UnRAID's codebase.
  23. May I suggest enhancement to Share Floor: 1) Set the floor value using average mode file size. I do not want 1 very large and rare file out of 1000 tiny files to dictate the floor value. 2) Ignore/exclude shares. I may wish to set my own share floor value, and I don't want Share Floor to overwrite the value that I specified. Thank you.
  24. I appreciate the good advice and will try methods to resolve (there's no fan or air circulations around the SAS drive). However, here's an example of the messaging... I don't believe the "warning" importance = "fail". I would prefer a message change from "[FAIL]" to "[WARNING]". Event: Unraid Status Subject: Notice [TOWER] - array health report [FAIL] Description: Array has 4 disks (including parity & cache) Importance: warning Parity - ST6000NM0095_ZAD0DLB90000C7156VM7_35000c500863f5d47 (sdf) - active 44 C [OK] Disk 1 - Hitachi_HDS721010CLA332_JP2940HD0L00HC (sdh) - active 38 C [OK] Disk 2 - ST6000NM0095_ZAD3Q4NJ0000C829A6YY_35000c50095310bef (sdi) - active 51 C (disk is hot) [NOK] Cache - M4-CT256M4SSD2_00000000130309265B2B (sdg) - active 0 C [OK] Parity is valid
  25. What can you do to regenerate the hash and store the hash in the file's extended attributes, so that future DFI checks will be valid?
