  1. I'd mainly like UI tweaks. More data but in a Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy Way. - What's my most used disk? - How many hours has it run? - How many unraid users are there in the community? - What's my power consumpter this month compared to last month? - How many files were modified this last week? - How many files were deleted this last week? - Random Linux fact - This months in season vegetable from the garden - This day in history A wait to quickly drill down how much space folders are using but make it an unraid feature so we can see per share and per disk etc. Something like www.daisydisk.com the way it's interactive.
  2. Anyone able to add zip / unpack selection?
  3. Sure I get that. Maybe a simple compromise of creating an additional button 'Check project' or similar that appears next to the ' yes update it' button that links to the 'project page' - I think all apps on the community app store have to have a 'project page'. That way it would it least provide a visual reminder people should check documentation, without any actual workload. Simple & easy to operate. Here is where I would add the extra button to each projects. Here is where the link is sourced - 'Project Page'
  4. I see the problem. Maybe there can be a community solution like comments?
  5. Is it possible to add changelists to docker app updates? For example frigate has some breaking changes but if I just hit update I have no idea of them. Its pretty easy to show a GitHub link or text & would be super helpful.
  6. Is it possible to add changelists to docker app updates? For example frigate has some breaking changes but if I just hit update I have no idea of them. Its pretty easy to show a GitHub link or text. We seem to get changelists for plugins. What do we think folks?
  7. Can we unzip a file yet?
  8. The path forward is one has to go through each docker 1 by 1 and see which is causing it. Stop all containers. Start 1 by 1. Then keep adding more till you find the problem one. Tedius but not the end of the world.
  9. - I think work on the unraid API and then rejig the web GUI into the future. Within that some more features like a quick integration to do a pie chart of disc space to see what's actually taking up space. Make it snazzy, feel like an OS in a browser. animations rounded corners, pop ups, all the cool stuff. but also functional. - Then also multiple unraid arrays as we have pools ETC. Be nice to be able to have a 2nd unraid array plex stack if you happen to pick up a x30disk external case etc.
  10. Recently noticing more instances of certain dockers crashing or pausing for whatever reason, for example today for some reason after a home assistant update - Mosquito & zigbee2mqqt needed a restart. This has happened a few times now in a row. Probably a bug in the container somewhere.. Occasionally one of the arr's or nzbget goes down. The issue is I only really notice if I try to download something or turn & light on / off etc. Solutions wise - Has anyone for example say ever made a script that says if home assistant is updated then restart these containers too? I’m not sure if unraid gives us access to this level of detail? I've looked at 'Uptime Kuma' but I dont want to enter the exact details for sort of 50 different docker containers. There should be a way to pull this automatically and then somehow use an unraid API to do scripts for restarting any dead containers. So it would be super cool to have something that integrate uptime kuma into unraid a bit more or something within the built in docker engine that I can use to see statuses and send a re-start command to. What do you think? Would anyone else enjoy something like this? 🙂

This has happened a few times now. Occasionally one of the arr's or nzbget goes down. I only really notice if I try to download something etc. I'm looking for a way to monitor them but then also automatically restart. Wondered what you smart folks are using to monitor uptime & issue restart commands if something crashes or if the nordVPN needs a restart etc. For example Has anyone say ever made a script that says if home assistant is updated then restart these containers too? I’m not sure if unraid gives us this level of detail? I now there's uptime kuma but I'm more interested in the restarting element can kuma talk to unraid etc?
  12. Thanks working out the box for: INTEL INTEL Raptor Lake PCH B760M-ATX ERYING PROCESSOR: 13th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-13500H @ 4554 MHz (Offers 7 vGPU's) not bad for a £230 aliexpress box.
  13. Anyone got Perforce - Helix Core Server (version control) installed? Playing with my first unreal engine project & I need version control. GIT(hub) is not the best as 100MB limit & additional costs for LFS storage. Perforce - Helix Core Server is industry standard and free for up to 5 users. Can't quite work out how to install it onto unraid. Here's instructions for a normal linux build - https://help.perforce.com/helix-core/quickstart/Content/quickstart/admin-install-linux.html I've found these instructions for a DIY docker install - https://github.com/sourcegraph/helix-docker Just wondered if anyone here has got it working and what setup they went with? Another option could be a VM but it would be better to have data directly on shares than in a VM drive file.
  14. Were you able to get Perforce set up on unraid? I'm just looking into it now as GIT has issues with binary & large files and LFS storage costs money when I have a nice unraid server sat here.
  15. EFI / UEFI_NFTS & USB shares randomly appeared ONLY show up on the NETWORK... Nothing in them. Where are they from? It's a bit like the volumes you'd expect on a normal usb key or windows boot key. But why are they appearing as open SHARES? moulin-rouge-diagnostics-20240601-2247.zip
  16. I reccomend SLC based NAND usb keys. Often they show up as 'industrial' usb keys. https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/usb-sticks/1947444?gb=s
  17. Have you got the virtual driver as the 1st graphics card in the VM options? Should be able to login on vnc then set up Microsoft remote desktop for better quality remote experience. Then getting video out to a monitor should be as simple as going to graphics or video settings. I'm no expert just trying to point in the right direction.
  18. On latest release. Anyway why would docker lock up the GUI's nginx SSL layer?
  19. Thanks hmm ok weird. For me a I have a 13500H and it only happens very rarely usually after a container update. Specifically this happened after updating 'netdata' while the server was doing some other intensive tasks. It would also happen occasionally on the old server. Hence looking for a solution other than shutdown / reboot the server which can cause a parity error if its locked up something else. When I do a search for '504 nginx' its quite common but no one seems to have built this kind of script into the OS yet.
  20. Is it possible to add a list of backups & their date & file size? Just be easier to track then than manually browsing the backup share. I have it set to keep at least 2x backups but it's keeping 4x with a total size of 1.6TB which is a bit big.
  21. Ace! Yeah just the unraid GUI nginx instance locks up & becomes un reachable, but ping all ok & all other sevices (shares, docker, VMs) are working and accessible. It's rare but it's annoying when it does happen.
  22. Hi, Would this script work to monitor the GUI's nginx instance & restart if necessary? I'm trying to find out if "504 Gateway Time-out" actually appears in the log or is just displayed. #!/bin/bash NGINX_LOG="/var/log/nginx/error.log" # Monitor NGINX error log for specific error messages tail -n0 -F ${NGINX_LOG} | while read LINE; do if echo $LINE | grep -q "504 Gateway Time-out"; then echo "NGINX error detected: $LINE" echo "Restarting NGINX..." systemctl restart nginx fi done Its very occasionally but I want to avoid the GUI locking up like this:
  23. Ok here's a user script. #!/bin/bash NGINX_LOG="/var/log/nginx/error.log" # Monitor NGINX error log for specific error messages tail -n0 -F ${NGINX_LOG} | while read LINE; do if echo $LINE | grep -q "504 Gateway Time-out"; then echo "NGINX error detected: $LINE" echo "Restarting NGINX..." systemctl restart nginx fi done and schedules to run every minute with * * * * *
  24. Occasionally the main GUI nginx instance crashes. I'd like to know if anyone has a solution for this. Is there a script I can run to detect a crash and re-start the main GUI NGINX? Other services are always working but no access to server. I currently keep SSH turned off. Currently new server build has no soft power button on my server to initiate a restart. Although have now bought one on amazon.
