  1. docker support is in the docker support thread... please take there
  2. Like I said... I seem to the the power guy here... when ever I hear... random errors I kinda go there... plus it's an easy thing to check... often it's over looked... just saying... unless there is damage to the CPU socket or a CPU issue... maybe reseating the RAM might help? it's been a while since I have thought about a north bridge and south bridge chip... im getting too old
  3. Just let it run over night... wont hurt anything... from the short description I would say your PSU being an issue is maybe 10%... Recently I had a guy here run the parity check twice in a row... it was on the second go that his server crashed and thus decided the psu was at fault... these random issues are hard to pinpoint whats wrong...
  4. I seem to be the power guy here on this thread... anyways... is it possible that you could be on the outer limits of your PSU? A way to test this is to run a parity check... if it dies when doing this... I would vote that your psu is a little too small... Just a thought
  5. that was 2011 and I spent something like $250 at the time from the colorado springs best buy... not cheap but yea... when you need something... you need it
  6. Funny thing is that 1000 watt PSU I mentioned... it's 13 years old and I intend to reuse it in a AM5 build... just have to put the hardware together... so yea... well worth the money having a quality PSU that isnt just enough...
  7. User could also have a GPU... just saying
  8. Meh... what ever you can afford... personally... I went overkill and got a 1000 watt PSU... I never wanted to question the PSU again... given that you are running a 500 watt currently... and you want to have room to expand... IMO... 600 is enough if you dont intend to expand/add HDD to the system but I would go with a 750 watt IMO... I seem to remember that per each hdd you want to budget 25 watts anyways... IMO get a new PSU and stress/parity check the system a number of times... if it crashes report back here and return the 'newish' psu....
  9. many here will ask for diags... but if unraid rejected the HDD, I would return it...
  10. Havent looked into your diags... but sounds like you have a number of network ports on you setup... Its been a min since I have used the GUI or UI but... likely I would use the UI to set all the the network interfaces to use DHCP and carry on from there... this helps??!?? hope the best for you
  11. If you have a spare PSU to try... it might be worth your time to try it... else you could try the stress the system and see if it crashes then... Without creating a new USB bootdisk... you could run a parity check, should it crash then... try it one more time just to CYA... if it crashes the second time... I would say it's good to assume that you need a bigger PSU... It's been over ten years... but I did have a 500/550 Watt??? PSU... and that was with 6hdd I think... it's so long ago I cant recall correctly... but I feel you are on that edge
  12. another thing to consider is power... have you added anything new to the system recently? new HDD? something to consider
  13. sounds like you bought this system used... right? If so, sounds like it was setup to pull it's config from some where else... since you dont have that it spits you out at the bios... IMO... reset the bios, RAID controller... everything... Always reset everything when buying used
  14. Sorry if I was a little colorful earlier, I just hate it when people moan and complain about BS vs trying to fix the issue. Just saying
  15. again I will call the mods to read the above... *****
  16. I am not going to read more then 15 words into this user's comments... and yea... shit on shit on shit... anyways... move along everyone...this 'user' isnt a user any longer
  17. Oh... and if anything this thread should be moved over to the lounge, or removed... just saying
  18. All this coming from a guy that hasnt been here all the long and 6 posts to their name... SMH Posts 6 Joined March 17, 2023 Frankly... 3 issues in 1.5 years? not bad IMO... oh and TrueNAS please... go there... Im sure you will be back here within 6 months asking how to transfer everything back over to unraid
  19. You might try adding the disks as a standalone disk(after preclearing them) and copy data over to them. Then scrap the array, add in the new disks and start building a new parity It also really helps disable docker when building a new drive is that's the way you want to go about it
  20. I forgot to mention that I also have issues when trying to 'check' for updates from unraid itself so I think it's safe to say it not limited to docker. Thanks for the thought though. Thus far I am not seeing any errors since modifying the DNS servers in the router. Again. Thank you for your thoughts on this.

  22. If it were me... pull the USB and put it in another machine and see if anything funny happens... run a check disk on it etc... But if it were me, I would replace it out right. There is a tool somewhere on the unraid site to replace the usb... fill out the information and wait for them to get back with you
  23. I havent installed unraid from scratch in a long time but I dont think it requires an IP to install(it needs one) but I dont think that would prevent you from installing it... Have you tried manually setting an IP address? whats the maker/model of this server
  24. First thought goes to the USB being at fault here... I havent read your logs though. You might want to pull the USB and back it up as a CYA situation. The usb that you used for this, is it old?
  25. Hello all... I have been trying to ignore this for some time now but it's happening too often now. My docker NZBHydra has historically had some issues contacting the number of indexers that I have but never really enough to impact Sonarr. Now Sonarr has been hard locked searching for anything because 'all' indexers are failing to report back. How NZBHydra is 'offline' is perplexing and I can only assume that Hydra is not 'responding' is due to the 5 indexers being 'offline' and thus Sonarr shits the bed. Oh and Sonarr also notes that 'All indexers are offline for the past 6h' and thus stops searching for anything anymore. Hydra will blackball an indexer and after I reenable said indexer, it starts working as it should. I tried to sidestep Hydra and setting up sonarr to directly contact my 'main' indexer and the funny thing is that when I tested the connection it was good, but when trying to Save it, it complained about DNS. Emby also fails to resolve one site when trying to manually pull thumbnails. So I dont think the issue is with a singular Docker but rather DNS. So what is my setup? Unraid points to my router(pfSense) and pfSense doesnt have any special settings for the DNS Resolver. The DNS servers its currently pointing to is 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. While writing this I decided to change those settings to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8. Perhaps this is the fix... but if you have anything else you could suggest, I am all ears
