  1. Thanks for reporting back. I assume everything completed well? Kind regards, craigr
  2. These drives are in great physical and functional condition. They have less than 15 months of actual use in a normal Windows environment. Attached are the SMART reports for both drives. Price is $125 each including shipping within the continental USA. I will ship outside of the continental USA for an additional fee to cover actual shipping expenses. The drives will be well packed and sent USPS priority mail or UPS. I own CIR-Engineering (that's me in the middle :-) and also go by 1easytrader on eBay where I have 100% positive feedback after 24 years. Payment accepted is Zelle or any other form that has no transaction fees. Or you may pay by PayPal if you are willing to cover the transaction fees on your end. If you buy both drives, I will take $5 off the total for combined shipping for a further discount. Please feel free to email me for a potentially faster response. 3. This is another board that took several tries to get a genuine version. Almost all the ones you see on eBay are counterfeit and will begin throwing tons of errors after several weeks/months of use. This is an OEM genuine Intel X550-T2 including both tall and short brackets. I bought it new two or three years ago and it's performed like a dream. This card is in great physical condition and perfect working condition. The only reason I am selling is because I finally replaced all my copper with fiber. This card is great. It's the only high-end dual port card that supports 1GB, 2.5GB, 5GB. and 10GB. I know for certain that all of these speeds work perfectly because I have used them all with this board. This was in my unRAID server for many months running in an OPNsense VM as my primary router (I have 3.5GB service). I later moved it to a thin client that I used as a dedicated OPNsense router. Finally, I took the X550-T2 out of service and replaced everything with SFP+. Price on this is $200 USD including shipping within the continental USA. I will ship outside of the continental USA for an additional fee to cover actual shipping expenses. All will be well packed and sent USPS priority mail or UPS. 4. These cables are in great shape (one is brand new and unused). Honestly however, I replaced them with Supermicro cables because periodically I would start to get UDMA CRC checksum errors on my any of my 20 hard drives (a drive here a drive there). Wiggling around the cables would often stop the errors. I really don't think the cables are bad as they are the same blue wire generic SFF-8643 breakout cables that everyone else is using. I'm offering all six sets together for $40 shipped within the continental USA. I suspect with different wire management than in my system they will work just fine. No guarantees on these, however. If you buy multiple drives, I may be able to combine shipping for a further discount. Please feel free to email me for a potentially faster response. [email protected] Thanks for looking.
  5. It took me four tries to get a genuine server pull when I purchased this card (and I bought from sellers who seemed legit). The first three were all counterfeit and would result in CRC errors on my drives. Pretty much all the boards you see on eBay are counterfeit now especially the ones coming from China. It's very frustrating and because of that I am reluctant to sell this board, but I don't think I have any need for it in the near-term future. The card works perfectly, and the cables are in great condition. The board is flashed to HBA with no option ROM. These SAS to SATA cables are also very high quality. They are StarTech model SAS8087S45 0.50 meter. In my early days of unRAID I bought cheap cables, but I have since learned. The cables alone retail for over $125 USD. Price is $225 USD all-inclusive including shipping within the continental USA. I will ship outside of the continental USA for an additional fee to cover actual shipping expenses. All will be well packed and sent USPS priority mail or UPS. I own CIR-Engineering (that's me in the middle :-) and also go by 1easytrader on eBay where I have 100% positive feedback after 24 years. 6. These drives have performed flawlessly over the years. None have any bad or pending sectors or any other issues. These have a lot of hours on them, but I've always had unRAID set to spin drives down after one hour, so they have very little actual activity time. This can be seen in the attached SMART reports. Look at the low number of "Load_Cycle_Count" and you will see that they were not in actual use much considering the number of power on hours. Many of the drives do have UDMA CRC ERRORs. This was due to some bad SAS cables I had used and are not indicative of the drives being bad or defective in any way. UDMA CRC ERROR stopped accumulating once the cables were replaced (link). The only reason I am selling these drives is because a friend of mine passed away and left me a pile of 14TB and 12TB drives to which I have upgraded to. I just don't need these anymore. Both of these drives just passed extended and short SMART self-tests (please see SMART reports). All both just passed Preclear and have a Preclear signature already on them. They are ready to insert into unRAID and go! If there is a specific drive you want based on the SMART reports, please let me know and I will be happy to send. Price is $105 each including shipping within the continental USA. 7. Four sold, four still available: I shucked these over the years, and they have performed flawlessly. None have any bad or pending sectors or any other issues. These have a lot of hours on them, but I've always had unRAID set to spin drives down after one hour, so they have very little actual activity time. This can be seen in the attached SMART reports. All of these drives just passed both extended and short SMART self-tests (please see SMART reports). All also just passed Preclear and have a Preclear signature already on them. They are ready to insert into unRAID and go! I modded these drives by desoldering pin-3 of the power connector (as I always do on WHITE drives). This ensures that no matter what you put these drives in, there will be no pin mods necessary. The drives will just work without hesitation or worry. If there is a specific drive(s) you want based on the SMART reports, please let me know and I will be happy to send. Price is $85 or $320 for the four remaining drives including shipping within the continental USA. 8. I also usually just do shutdown > sleep when I walk away if I know I'm not coming back.
  9. All you need do is sleep it like a regular Windows install. Just go into Windows power settings and set the number of minutes until sleep.
  10. Haven't needed PLEX in a while, in fact since before I upgraded my server MB last. Yesterday I needed PLEX and hardware acceleration was not working... grrrrr Anyway, Hoopster's work around of setting the iGFX to primary worked for me and fixed the problem. Sort of annoying that I can't see unRAID boot up on the same video card that my VM's run on, but what can you do? Thanks Hoopser. craigr
  11. I'm having an issue and I don't know if it's Deluge, the tracker, my OPNsense router, or my modem (modem is in passthrough so I really doubt it). Based on the evidence, I am almost certain it's Deluge or the tracker, because this problem is happening with only one specific tracker out of the five or so trackers I am using at the moment. Presently on the problematic tracker Deluge is seeding 1286 torrents (total for all trackers is 1697 torrents). The problematic tracker's web site reports that I am only seeding exactly 1200 torrents at this moment. Earlier today it reported 1179 torrents seeding. Does anyone know what might cause this on my end before I start asking questions of the tracker admins? Many users of said tracker are seeding more torrents than I am. Also, the torrents that are missing according to the tracker, report being connected to the tracker in Deluge (no tracker error). I have tried update tracker (does nothing), force recheck (does nothing), pause torrent and restart (tracker temporarily sees the torrent again then loses it after a while), deleting the torrent readding force recheck. Nothing fixes it permanently or for more than about an hour. It also seems to hover around the same torrents. I have even been uploading on some while the tracker reports I'm not even hosting as well. I don't think it's settings in OPNsense as I do not lose any torrents on any other trackers. I'm also allowing a rediculiously huge number of connections: This is particularly bad because it can happen on new torrents as well as old ones. I almost got two HNR's because the tracker thought I was not seeding. Luckily, I caught it in time. Also, I paused about 100 torrents on said tracker and the tracker maintained connection to all the remaining torrents properly.
  12. It's still got well over 14 hours until the rebuild is finished so hopefully by then I can be certain.
  13. Really, I just want to be certain my current parity is OK since I paused and wrote during a parity rebuild. I'm 99.99999% sure it is, I'd just really appreciate a developer commenting on this one. Thanks for your help!
  14. Not if I restore my flash to its prior config and replace the original previous two drives. I can't lose any data because the data is still on the original discs and can be used to rebuild a bad disc if that happens.
  15. That was my reasoning, but in this case since I already had had parity it was not faster. The parity (all though not completely rebuilt yet and with rebuild paused) and all other drives were still written to when the data was transfered to the array. Logic would dictate I am safe I think... I just want to be absolutely certain.
  16. Also worth noting, I am doing two drives at a time with dual parity. Before beginning each dual drive swap, I am backing up my flash drive so that if a drive fails during rebuild, I may revert to the prior config and replace the new drives back with their old drives which still contain valid data. This way I am staying safe even if I lose a drive. I realize it's not the absolute best, but it's pretty sound and I have 14x 14 TB drives to swap so it's a huge time saver.
  17. I think I am OK, but since all my data could be at risk, I want to make extra sure. I replaced both the parity drives in my machine migrating from 8TB to 14TB. During the parity rebuild I needed to write data to the array. I have COVID and my brain is far from 100%. I paused the parity rebuild while I wrote the data to the array thinking it would be faster as with a new array and no parity. Of course, this was not correct because while writing the data to the array all hard drives in the array including the new parity drives were actively being written to. Along with the fact that I have confidence unRAID would be "smart" enough to deal with this, the fact that all discs active tells me my parity is sound. Am I OK or is it prudent to resync parity again (sigh) when it finally finishes? I am trading out 12 more drives and don't want to rewrite them with corrupt parity data and basically lose everything! Thanks for confirmation (hopefully), craigr
  18. No issues with 6.11.4 to 6.11.5 including dockers and VM's. I am not running PLEX now though.
  19. Upgraded from 6.11.3 seemingly without issue. All VM's and dockers running. Cache pools still present 😉 Thanks guys.
  20. Thanks man. I've got the 200mm Noctua NF-A20 PWM chromax.black.swap in the side as well blowing air in. I held out for two years waiting for Noctua to release a grey Redux version, but finally gave in several weeks back when my existing fan started failing. I also can't believe I spent over $30 on red rubber bits, but I'm in the mood to bring joy to myself through consumerism 🤑
  21. This is definitely NOT how I did it because my computer never went to sleep. Also, the file dates for my v-bios are a month older than this video.
  22. I don't remember, but it may very well have been GPU-Z. I'm considering getting a new video card, but honestly, I may not want to go through figuring this out again. I watched Spacinvader's video, read comments, found threads in the unRAID forum and Reddit, and eventually managed to get the BIOS's off two cards. It was not at all by the book. I don't think this is the Spaceinvader video I watched... I just found this which might be very helpful. You could boot into a ubuntu live USB and do it maybe: I can't seem to find Spaces older video....
  23. Forgot to add that I custom built all the power cables for all the hard drives and bays. I use 16 AWG pure copper primary wire. It's fun to keep all the black wires in the correct order and not fry anything, but I proved it doable 🙂. Having a modular power supply is nice. I was able to split 10x "spinners" per power cable in order to stay within the amperage limits of the modular power connectors and maintain wire runs without significant voltage drop. Both power wires for the POD's are in one PET expandable braid sleeving finished off with shrink tube on both ends. They breakout and split between the PODS and go up and down (look between PODs two and three in the pics and you can see). They also breakout and split to two ports on the power supply. The SATA power wires I braided for fun. First time I ever did a four-wire braid.
