  1. (112 - 105) * 6 = 42 I see what you did there.
  2. Ah! Good point... I must have tried with only the old container. Intsalled from http://raw.github.com/disaster123/shairport2_plugin/master/public.xml and it's working great. Thanks! Now that is cool! Been meaning to send you a donation, snoopy. Donation sent! Yes, indeed. Beer donated, thanks Snoopy... Been trying to get this all working for a while Playing LMS on my airtunes devices was also cool but not nearly as useful for me as playing airtunes on my squeeze devices. That might just be enough to inspire me to finally build my own squeeze device.
  3. unRAID version? Your signature says 6.0. 6.2-RC4 And your signature still says 6.0 That's a graphic. Im not going to update it every version. You could accomplish most of that in bbcode, or if not, maybe next time you do update the graphic you could just remove the version completely and display it separately since versions change pretty frequently around here.

  5. You can even set the user share to exclude the mostly full disk and it won't write any more data to it, but reads of the user share will still include the disk because the share still has a folder on the disk. As long as you don't exclude a disk from all user shares in the Global Share Settings it will be included in reads. The share settings just tell unRAID how to write to the share and whether or not to move its files from cache.

  7. More than once I have worked on some of my old code and went "why did I do it that way". After I break it by making it "better" then I remember why I did it that way.
  8. I've always believed you have to code things 3 times. The 1st time to figure out what it is supposed to do, the 2nd time to figure out how to do it, and the 3rd time to do it right. Of course you never have the time/money to do the 3rd time.
  9. The parity drive doesn't contain any files. It is just a bunch of bits that correspond to the XOR of the bits of all other drives. Take a look at how parity works in the documentation. It isn't complicated at all and everything makes a lot more sense if you understand parity. You won't have a password if you start from a clean install. Any top level folder on cache or any array disk is automatically part of a user share named for that folder. If you don't make settings for a user share it will have default settings.
  10. Now that I think about it, you could do a New Config with only 1 parity and check the box, then add parity2 and it would rebuild only that one.
  11. After moving things around to other disks, if you have any user shares that are configured to include or exclude specific disk#s, you may have to change those settings to match where things have been moved. Alternatively, you could set a New Config and change the drive assignments so that the disk#s match the user share settings. If you only have single parity, changing the drive assignments will not invalidate parity, so you can check the box to tell it parity is valid. If you have dual parity, then parity2 will not be valid if you change the drive assignments. I don't know if it will allow you to rebuild only parity2 or if it will do both in that case.
  12. It does. See search tips in my sig.
  13. Pauven, I like this idea but your link just goes back to the last page of this very thread.
  14. The original script had options that would affect memory usage. I don't know if this has been incorporated into new plugin that doesn't use the script. See starting here for example.
  15. Did you mount the disk after the docker service started? Dockers cannot see anything that was mounted after the docker service starts.
  16. Looks like you have your /downloads mapped to an Unassigned Devices path. Is that drive mounted?
  17. If you have read the rest of this thread and understand what is required to have a good, usable copy of your usb drive, then the only thing you need to do to make the new one bootable is run make_bootable just like when you created your original setup. ... and your key file Of course the original key file won't work on a new USB drive, but if you have a new key file for the new drive then you would use it. I think the webUI in V6 also gives you a way to register a new USB drive and get a new key, but I have not tried that functionality.

  19. Let me know when the donations page is working again. Donations page is live sir Donation sent. Thanks for everything.
  20. From the first post in this thread: That tells you how to share a device. You should be able to figure out how to unshare it.
  21. Great suggestion. Got it installed in a flash. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be able to move a folder from Unassigned Devices :-( And that is what I am trying to do. Currently trying to move my old Windows (NTFS) data onto the array. I figured it would be quicker that doing a move from a Windows VM. Google Midnight Commander (mc). It is built-in to unRAID and it gives you a sort of text-based, two-panel, file explorer that is easy to figure out and use. Just navigate to /mnt and look around, you will be able to see your disks, including the unassigned device. Then you can copy/move from one panel to the other with some function keys.
  22. Might be simpler for you to just use the unBalance plugin which is based on this.
