I actually have 16 GB of RAM. It looks as though the Used value needs to have the Cached value subtracted from it. If I switch off the Cached plot the graph shows the total as constant at 16 GB that I expect:

Newer versions of sysstat have data a little rearranged. I made another update. Hopefully all okay now!

Hey guys, so just installed system temp, along with nerdtools for perl.

Followed the wiki, and it detected my sensor, and cpu/mobo and everything.

Selected cpu, and mobo, and then clicked Apply and poof, now no sensors are gone, and I cant select anything, and I also dont see the temp being displayed.

Here are the logs:

Can anyone help with this?

I want to make sure my CPU cooling is adequate when doing 4k transcodes from Plex.

That fixed it. Thanks.

I've spotted something odd about the Storage graph now. It's just a slight problem with the way the y-axis is labelled. See here:

59d215e171d60_ScreenShot2017-10-02at11_27_31.png.c226c1abb47727ce74b11818e2a5542e.png

I switched off the Write graph to remove the big spike caused by trim. Notice that there are two 2 GB/s labels on the y-axis. My thought is that the lower one ought to read 1.5 GB/s but it's actually being rounded up to 2.

@bonienl Can you help with my issue above with Temps?

What is the content of these two files?

drivers.conf

sensors.conf

These files are located on your flash device in the folder /config/plugins/dynamix.system.temp.

There is no sensors.conf

That folder only has:

drivers.conf

dynamix.system.temp.txz

But this is drivers.conf

coretemp
jc42

I did uninstall the plugin and tried to re-install it. Same deal no sensors.

Did you do?

1. Detect

2. Save

3. Load drivers

4. Select processor sensor

5. Select motherboard sensor

6. Apply

When you say "no sensors" do you mean the dropdown list for processor and motherboard sensor is empty?

Yup, check this.

They all populated correctly the first time.

And I selected CPU, Mobo, and clicked apply, then poof they vanished and now nothing.

Looks like the driver "jc42" is not compatible with your motherboard. You should uninstall it.

Do a search on "jc42" and "lm-sensors". For some reason the site www.lm-sensors.org isn't reachable anymore, but it used to show a table with alternative drivers.

Err how do I uninstall it? (I edited the drivers.conf file and deleted everything).

Also how can I find which sensors I should use?

My mobo is Asus P10S WS.

When I remove and click detect it keeps coming up with the same ones.

- Just click "Unload drivers" on the temperature settings page.

- Clicking "Detect" it searches for the appropriate driver(s) and after saving and loading, these becomes active (steps 1-3).

- Alternatively you can manually enter the names of the drivers - if you know them and then do steps 2 & 3.

I don't know what happened to the site, but it offered the possiblity to lookup a specific driver (jc42) and would indicate if there are alternative drivers which can be installed, in case the original driver isn't working or available.

It keeps loading the exact same jc42.

And nothing in CPU/Mobo/Fan :(

Yeah, the script will keep on detecting "jc42", but you need to change that manually to a different driver.

I see.

Any chance you know which driver I should be loading?

Or where I can find that info?

I don't know. I used to consult the site www.lm-sensors.org to find a different driver,  but this site isn't reachable anymore.

Google maybe your friend here!

Sorry, mate. But thank you.

Perhaps one thing you can try first before searching for a replacement driver.

Remove the jc42 driver and only use the coretemp driver.

Doesnt seem to give me any results for components :(
