Yes I had the full game install. Luckily though (with some headache) I was able to finally get that other docker working that you suggested.

And yes I have, when I try to add it via the Favorites it shows 0/0 slots with a 2000 ping latency which I guess indicates the server can't be reached? It basically does the same thing when I try to connect via the in game console. Fails after 5 tries..

Hello, I have a problem with rust oxide server
On startup catches an error:

---Oxide Mod enabled!---
---Oxide Mod not found, downloading!---
---Something went wrong, can't download Oxide Mod vhttps://api.github.com/repos/OxideMod/Oxide.Rust/releases/80549843, putting server in sleep mode---

How can I fix this?

Your config files are located in your appdata directory within the ark folder.

This is a thing I can't answer since I haven't modded an Ark server, maybe someone else can help.

Something seems wrong in your case, are you sure the server can connect to GitHub?

 

Can you check if you have a file called OxideMod-VERSIONNUMBER.zip in your main directory? If yes, stop the container, delete the file and start the container again.

 

This should fix the issue.

Hey, so it seems I still have issues but IDK if it is me or the container that is the problem.

 

I deleted the container and the appdata, then re-installed the container. I put my key in, generated the world, and logged in. When I tried to go into a cave it acted like it would load, then spat me back out at another cave entrance in the overworld. I went back into the cave and it did it again. It's like it's not actually connecting to the cave world, but it tries to. My logs are below:

Hmmm, maybe something else is wrong, have to look again into this tomorrow...

Please post the full log preferably in a text file.

 

How do you know that the server isn't started, how much resources does it use on your server (CPU & RAM)?

If it was started, there will be at least a string with sleepers-online

Hi,

I do have also some problem to get it to work.

CSMM-7DtD as docker installed, duckdns and NGINX working, including steam login.

But when I try to add a server to CSMM I get the message:

Something went wrong while adding your server!

This instance is private and only CSMM system admins can add servers.

 

How do I change this ?

That is crazy. Not sure why it's not working for me. I decided to install a different Gmod server docker container from the DockerHub within the community apps and theirs works but not yours. Maybe it's some sort of compatibility issue on my end? I am not sure. I wish I could use yours though, oh well, Thank you for your time and quick responses. :) Keep up the great work.

 

EDIT: wait, now I am getting an error I've never seen before on yours. Segmentation fault.

You don't have a cache driver IIRC, correct?

To what specific disk have you pointed the directory? Does something move Data on your Array?

 

I remember some user had a similar issue when putting a game server on the Array but I can't quite remember if it was Garrys mod.

 

Segfaults usually happen when you specify the FUSE path (/mnt/user/...) and you don't point to the real path (/mnt/diskX/... or /mnt/cache/...).

I would recommend that you start over, delete the container, delete the folder for rust that lives in your appdata directory and pull a fresh copy from the CA App.

 

I've now tried it and it works OOB with OXIDE enabled (attached the log too):

I think there is something wrong with the forwarding.

Correct, no cache drive. 

Garry's Mod is on Disk1 (the template just defaults it to disk1 so I just kept it on that) I don't think I have anything that moves my data on my Array. I am using syncthing to sync folders from a seedbox for movies, etc to my unraid server. Before you replied I decided to play around with pointing gmod (and your other game containers to different disks) thinking that maybe one of my disks in my array was failing and maybe that was causing the issue?

 

I again started all over with 3 of your game server containers. Day of Defeat: Source, Counter Strike: Source, and Garry's Mod. I pointed their server files to:

 

/serverdata/serverfiles <--> /mnt/disk5/appdata/dods

/serverdata/serverfiles <--> /mnt/disk5/appdata/cstrikesource

/serverdata/serverfiles <--> /mnt/disk5/appdata/garrysmod

 

dods and css work on disk5, garry's mod does not. garrys mod doesn't work no matter which disk it is on.

 

One thing I noticed was in the logs for the servers that do work, they seem to spit out more stuff at the end (past the "start server" part) when they load up.

This could easily be a coincidence / has nothing to do with my issue but I just wanted to point it out. Thought it was interesting. Every game server I try of yours that does this seems to work fine. Again, could be nothing but it's a pattern I am seeing.

You weren't kicked back to the overworld to another cave, you where actually teleported to another overworld world, if that makes sense to you...

 

I've now pushed another fix and I've tested it again twice if everything is working now and it seems like it is:

Please delete the container, delete the folder in for dontstarve in your appdata directory and pull a fresh copy from the CA App.

Now it should just work fine.

If the container doesn't restart after that message it is properly started and should work.

Jup, but don't forget not every Source game is the same, for example Pirates versus Knights is a real pain to troubleshoot because it is really dependent where the files are and I think this was the game that won't work on the Array (...still not entirely sure).

 

Which ports did you change to get it working because you run DoDS and CSS in parallel?
