Rust. Fixed it, you have to add a port to docker  Container app.port

And add +app.port to startup same for rcon

Thank you for posting the fix!

Can you give me a bit more details (maybe with screenshots too) and I will recommend the post so that everybody can find it easily.

I'm having a port issue (not sure if its the same issue you guys are talking lately) while trying out CSGO server. Server doesn't appear while having port forwarding and everything supposedly set-up correctly.

I'm seeing this on the logs:

Setting mapgroup to 'mg_active'
Unknown command "port"
NET_CloseAllSockets
---- Host_NewGame ----

Seems the +port command is not correctly identified?

Have you set a different port?

Please click on the show more section, the port is handled in there.

Maybe also post a screenshot how you configured it now.

I did change the default port and I also changed the GAME_PORT. I'll attach some screenshots of the config.

I also added the "+sv_setsteamaccount YOURTOKEN" in GAME_PARAMS.

I only opened port 28015 (UDP) in my router, but it still doesn't show the server online.

If I try to connect manually via console on the game using "connect IP:PORT", I get a message "server only accepting connections from game lobby IP:20715" which I find it weird since I changed the port.

I just tried out two other ports, the default one and 27100. With the default one it works, with the other it doesn't show up. Not sure why.

I tried it now with 27100, 28015, 27015 and also 27030 (default on my server) and everything is working as it should...

Is it possible that the steamcmd that I re-used (from one of your 7dtd servers) is making something break?

No, steamcmd is only used when the container is fresh started to downlaod the game and check for updates, after that it doesn't run anymore, or better speaking it doesn't run anymore when the application (CS:GO) is started.

I also have reused the SteamCMD directory from another container and was already in place.

Can you check if other services are running on those ports and are reachable from outside? I have a few reports that some ISP block certain ports or port ranges.

These ports should be free, since no other docker image is using them. I even tried out host network, added -port 27030 on the GAME_PARAMS, edited also the GAME_PORT just in case and I get the following image (attached).

I'm out of ideas it simply does not want to work.

Why? As said above, don‘t do this, this handled by the GAME_PORT variable.

Hello,

I have been trying to launch the Squad game server docker but it doesn't seem to be showing up in the in-game 'Custom Server' list, (where I would expect it to appear as it is classified as an "unlicensed" server), and I am unsure if it is even fully operational following boot? The docker log itself appears to be showing a number of errors and warnings and I wondered if you could kindly advise as to what I should do to get it operational please?

This is a fresh install of the docker. Please let me know if you need any other information or require it in a different format.

Thank you,

Zee

First I would strongly recommend that you upgrade to Unraid 6.11.1

The logs seems okay from what I see so far.

Did you forward all ports from the template with the appropriate protocol in your router too?

Did you change any of the ports or settings in the template itself?

Hi

I did not change any template. I believe I have changed them... See below.

Thanks!

I will try this again on my computer, can you at least browse it from the Steam Server Browser?

Try YOURSERVERIP:27165 and/or YOURSERVERIP:7787

Hi @ich777,

I am able to find it in the steam server browser (using add favourite feature) when searching for my local UnraidIP and port 27165. It looks like it is online at least locally at the IP. The Squad server would not show up in the LAN tab though...

I am unable to see the squad server on my PUBLIC IP address port 27165 using add favourite function, (nor does it show up on the LAN tab); however, when I spin up your CSGO docker server and allow that port through, I am able to see the CSGO server using add favourite and on LAN tab with the public IP?...

I have tried disabling and re-enabling my firewall on my router. The CSGO server is fine regardless and shows up with public IP. The Squad server still does not show searching it on my public IP.

So, to summarise, I can see the CSGO server using my public IP - but I cannot see the squad server on my public IP - only the local unraid IP and only when "adding favourite" and not in the LAN tab?

Many thanks in advance!

Just installed the Beta DayZ Server Docker. Anyone ever set it up? Need help. I have been hoping a DayZ docker would be started.

What's the exact issue?

Any logs? Do you try to log in from the beta client or the default one (only beta is supported).

From what I know several people run it.

That's just normal, you have to put the query port in the range of 27015-27030 to show up there, but you have to delete the old port for the query port and create a new port with the appropriate protocol and also change the query port in the GAME_PARAMS.

I will try to set up a Squad server later on my server again.

EDIT: I've set it up now on my server and it runs just fine but I can't test any further since this was a game I did on request and I actually didn't own the game, if you report it as broken I will remove it from the CA App.

Back then the users @dave234ee and @Pede reported that it was working.

Hi Ich777,

Were you able to identify it via your PublicIP:27165 from the add favourites list in steam or port 7787? Here is what it looks like for me, you can see the CSGO server x 2, (public and local IP address mapping), as well as the internal IP address Squad server being active and showing up.

But public IP, hidden in red, is not showing up. I noticed the docker on my internal IP seems to respond to port 7787, not 27165, but neither work on my public IP?

Is yours the same?

image.png.76a630b206e7e788b5a33ef188bcda62.png

image.png.8f166e7bc820a8a91496c3a9a7cf8a73.png

It feels like some sort of network mapping issue with the docker, but it could also be my network.

Ideally it would be helpful if someone else with the game could help test this before we delete the docker completely.

Clutching at straws here... but if you don't see any issues with any of the above, could any of the below errors from my log have anything to do with it, please?

image.thumb.png.79bd6da1f2e36956acd1aa3c8aead409.png

And finally, at the end of my log, I am left with warnings, some of which repeat every minute and do relate to settings and steam - any of these??

image.thumb.png.87b262bd4a0a925f6ad2192bd44c0932.png

I am about to upgrade my unraid version to see if that has any effect.

If you are happy, for testing purposes, I am also fine to try and connect to your squad docker via your public IP, you can PM me if I can help you further, just let me know.

I really hope we can fix this, please, as I really want this docker!  Please let me know what you think to the above, hopefully we can get to the bottom of it.

Thanks so much!

Zee

Yes, I can connect via my public IP or at least add it with MYDOMAINNAME:27165 and I also see that there is nobody playing on it.

You have to use the QueryPort: 27165 and that translates over to the game port.

No, because the read lines are saying that certain assets are missing but that is just usual stuff for a dedicated server because they don't need all assets (doesn't have to render the world).

hi @ich777,

I think I have solved it... See below...

image.png.a1bcc053b2d50e1020f299e6c73bc865.png

There is a discrepancy between what is required on the docker installation for port mapping, and actual port mapping:

The docker says to map these ports:

image.thumb.png.78f9955c2aa4be8548871ae901ef37ba.png

So I double checked the Squad support page on the ports... 27165 is required for both TCP and UDP, not just UDP as listed on the docker mappings. Are you able to update this docker so it lists it correctly please?

image.png.f8b0bf1b370d0305ae4eec2d2dbc0e0f.png

Once I corrected it in my router mappings it worked okay!

image.png

Thank you for your help! We saved the docker from getting deleted!

I have to say that this is certainly wrong... Steam uses only UDP for Query Ports and never TCP.

Have you also added this port in the template?

Have you yet tried to connect to my container?

Why can I see my container with the public IP then without adding TCP?

I can't reproduce this on my server, are you sure that the permissions set correctly and that your appdata share is set to use Cache only?

The container only tries to download CSMM if it can't find the app.js file which is located in the main directory from CSMM.
