In the meantime please check the path in the template for the game files is set to /mnt/media/appdata and also make sure in the Share settings from Unraid that your appdata share stays on the media Pool and is not moved to the Array, so to speak Primary storage: media and that the Move is set to take no action.

My path is set to cache, not media. Cache is not set to move things to the array. If I try to change it to /mnt/media/appdata, the server does not work. This was its default when I installed it.

Please also make sure that your server.cfg includes sv_lan 1 and that you pass over the -insecure flag in the GAME_PARAMS in the template.

If I have sv_lan 1, people from outside my network won't be able to join, no? Also, as I said, I did try with and without "-insecure- in the GAME_PARAMS and it made no difference.

Update:

It seems to be working now. I reinstalled it and changed nothing, but instead of using binhex-krusader I just dropped files in through Windows file explorer. Strange. Thanks.

With new installations that shouldn't happen at all.

I tired a brand new install for the first time ever on my UnRAID install and I hit this issue.

Following up here as others pointed out this is the solution. Server is now running but it seems that Server Manager is the only way to join up even when port forwarding as necessary.

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I have just installed the Satisfactory server docker on my unraid nas. I was hoping someone would be able to help me locate the save file location?

The docker was installed with all the default setting, but i couldn't see anywhere where it said about the save files for the game being stored. I would like to be able to bookmark the folder on my windows pc for easy access.

Thank you for your help to this newbie!!!

It should be located in your appdata folder:

If you want to access it through your local machine, you have to share the appdata folder.

Damn that was quick. Thank you very much ich777.

Have had an AbioticFactor server for a while, but since the latest 2 (?) updates I've been getting the Fleming error every time I try to join the server (this also happens when my friends are trying to join). I can confirm that the error is server sided since I am able to join other servers. I have tried a completely separate second instance with a new map and files but the error persists. I am not seeing anything in the logs indicating an error, I'm suspecting that the server isn't updated to the latest version, but don't know how to check this. Thanks!

Sorry but what is the Fleming error?

Are you sure that your port forwarding is correct?

Can you try to join with your local IP.

Did you change anything in the template (port mappings, paths,...).

Right, my bad. The Fleming error is an error related to Steam authentication that is supposed to have been fixed in the latest update, and seems to be for almost every server except mine. There are a bunch of workarounds on Reddit and other places but none of them seems to work for me which makes me suspect that the error is server sided rather than client sided.

Port forwarding is correct, joining locally does not work and the template is unchanged.

I'll look into that today evening if I can reproduce this.

I just redid all port forwarding and I am able to join both locally and remotely now. Weird. So no need to look into it I think, must have been something wrong with my router or something. Thank you anyways!

Glad that you've figured it out and that it's now working.

Hello,

I suddenly got a fatal error during playing on the server: invalid attempt to read memory at address 0x0000000000000000
I tried restarting the server, but then it wouldn't start anymore with the same error.

I then removed the docker app and the server files and installed a fresh one and uploaded my current save files.

It then worked for a few minutes before crashing with the same error.

Once my game crashed when the server crashed

I've removed a RAM stick and it works fine now it seems, so i have faulty RAM apparently.

Trying to start my Palserver. Downloaded and no change to configuration. It doesn't seem to start, showing the logs and it just turns off. The only error I can see is this:

On what hardware do you run the container?

Did you change anything in the template?

Was the container working before?

What path are you using in the template for the game files?

I assume your hardware is to old to run the dedicated server since this is a AMD Phenom which lacks many instruction sets nowadays and since this game is based on the Unreal Engine 5 it's most likely the case some instructions are missing hence the message Illegal instruction.

Ohh I see! Maybe time to upgrade the computer. Thank you very much for your time and assistance.

Hi

in the Extra Game Params you add
-clusterid=<yourClusterId> -clusterDirOverride=/serverdata/serverfiles/clusterfiles

You can change the clusterDirOverride as well

Hi,

How can I validate a container when something breaks, there was an Ark Ascended update and all of my containers broke after I restarted them

image.png.4444d8db04250eda01fdaec5276fad05.png

I have turned on validate in the docker settings but I am a little stuck.

When you enable this option it is indeed validating.
However I don‘t know what the error code 0x6A6 is maybe research that first.

Seems like steamCMD having trouble downloading/updating the files.

I did do some research and most people don't really know what it is, the only thread I could find that someone managed to fix it was they used steamcmd to remove the game and re-add it

Would this be possible in your containers ?

image.png.3cedfa05c1266b2656b505a78728d7dc.pngi know its very old but most threads just die

You are overthinking it.

Stop the container and remove the files from the arksa folder, after that start the container again.

Said it straight like it is, I overthought it, I deleted the steamapps folder in my cache and had it redownload
