backup local desktop disk to unraid btrfs formatted disk with rsync (unraid pro 6.11.5). Rsync stopped with following error: At the time of the crash, a DMS (Devonthink) is being backed up. An analysis shows that there are various files on the (unraid) target disk in the corresponding directory with file size = zero. What all these files additionally have in common is that the name contain the three special characters "\|\" (without the quotes).

This has been occurring with every RC since RC4 through the latest stable. I have to revert back to RC2 for my system to be "normal". Process to update: 1. Stop all containers. 2. Stop array. 3. i've had trouble in the past where I need to copy / paste the mac address and viewing it from settings > network settings is useful. The mac address from there are output in full capitals, whereas if im referencing something it usually wants it in lowercase format. the output of ip link show for example will all be in lowercase

I was copying my movie library from a synology nas into the unraid box. Unraid share was mounted into synology over SMB and a 1.9TB copy was initiated from the synology web gui. At the end of the 8hour process, synology reported success and no errors. By chance I noticed that a movie file was corrupted in the unraid share. Going by this thread here, I believe this issue to originate with 6.10 when ipvlan was introduced. The problem I describe here started to appear after updates in Q4 2022. Earlier versions (sorry I do not know the exact version number when this problem appeared) of unraid did not have this problem. I can 100% reproduce the problem in safe mode (no plugins) and in normal mode. I have created diagnostics which I make available directly to the unraid developer upon request. The problem only occurs on the unraid array (this unraid is a bare metal installation).

I have a cache drive (/mnt/user/cache_data) and a share (/mnt/user/data). When mover is initiated, it copies the hard links on the cache as new files to the array, creating two copies of the files. I only noticed it was doing this as I have a plugin on qbittorrent that scans torrents for noHL. I have to continually relink the files by doing a manual scan in sonarr/radarr. Is anyone else having this issue?

I have one Macbook Pro running Monterey and one Mac Mini on Catalina. Since yesterday the MBP tried to back up to my server. It refused to. I can backup to an external drive, however. The Mac Mini will backup just fine. I really don't want to blow away the MBP's backups from the server. I don't have the time at the moment to rebackup everything to the server. What can I do? Problem description Under Unraid 6.9.2, mover appears to leave symbolic link files targeting non-existent files ("broken" symlink files) in the cache forever. Though such symlinks are commonly called "broken" or "invalid" symlinks, those titles are a bit misleading; in truth, though they "feel" weird, they are perfectly legitimate file system objects with a variety of purposes and reasons for existing, so I hope/assume this is simply a bug and/or oversight in mover.

I've been trying [unsuccessfully] to change the icon for a couple different containers. However I tried to change them [modifying the URL in the template, removing & reinstalling the template, removing images from the emhttp directory, ...], it always downloaded the original icon. This is apparently a known problem, however I can't find any bug reports about it. On an array drive (SATA drive, XFS file system) the "free space" and "used space" is dramatically wrong. I've attached screenshot of the main tab showing 27.9gb used, a screenshot of Dynamix File Manager showing the true used space (822 gb). The user shares calculation also shows the correct usage (screenshot attached as well. I've confirmed all files are there and accessible. I've attached diagnostics.

I'm running Unraid 6.11.5 and have run into a situation that seems to run counter to the documentation regarding the use of Cache for shares. A share called "media" on the array. On Unraid WebGui as well as Disk Encryption password in Unassigned Devices (im assuming they use the same code for password stuff due to same bug happening), A password with certain special characters will have a / escape added without any notification of the change. Hi, Since I upgraded from UNRAID 6.10.X et 6.11.X, I cannot edit anymore shares with a 'dot' in their name. When (for example) I change the "Use cache pool" parameter and then hit "apply", a popup appears in the GUI saying that "hidden shares are not allowed" (see attached screenshot). I emphasise that the name of the share is "domains.appdata", and does not begin with a 'dot'. Is that intended behaviour ? Why would a dot in the middle of the name

It seems like the Unraid OS is relying solely on the label of the boot flashdrive to identify it, and this causes some strange behaviour, such as complaining that the UUID of the boot drive does not match the licence key loaded in memory. I believe the system is mistakenly detecting any old flashdrive with the label 'UNRAID' as the boot drive, maybe related to some race condition or just the order that the devices are enumerated. This refers to the issue I initially reported back before the 6.9.x series. It was fixed to great acclaim in 6.9 (at least from me lol). As you might recall, a change was made to the disk.cfg that caused it all to reset itself. At least that is how I understood it. The next update to 6.9.1 did not change this; still good with no erroneous warnings. However the update to 6.9.2 has brought it all back and in a much more widespread fashion.
