It seems like unraid compares the number before the K, M, G, T instead of the actuall calculated size. Example 1: change capacity from 500GB to 1TB 1. I first set one vDisk to 500G 2. Wriiting 1T is not accepted by unRaid 3. Writing 1024G is accepted, and converts 1024G to 1T As far as I know, decreasing capacity is not supported by unRaid...but this bug enables it Example 2: decrease capacity from 900GB to 500GB 1. I first set one vDisk to 900G

I have run the mover but instead of files getting moved from cache it's the other way around. Files are getting copied from disk to cache. It was working previously until I have changed the parity drive from 2 TB disk to 4 TB disk. I have executed the parity check and it completed successfully. I tried to execute the mover again but issue is still the same. Please help me on this problem. nas-diagnostics-20190306-1541.zip

Hi, After an upgrade from Version 6.6.6 to Version 6.6.7 I noticed that my Time Machine backups are not working. Time machine is not recognizing previous backup and suggesting to create new (not desired). Any idea what it could cause and how to fix it? Let me know what type of debug information do you need. 1) The problem is reproduceable Unfortunately I do not know how to reproduce it. I do not want to downgrade or do

System completely locking up. Runs for about 27 hours then becomes completely unresponsive. I have run a memtest on it with zero issues found. the only thing that has changed I had a docker container running on it and science this started I have shut it down has not made a difference (Pihole). If in gui mode it still shows the login screen if in the standard mode I get no output at all. First time this happened it blew out my docker image and I had to rebuild it. Also I was a couple versions bac

No plugins installed. While looking for an option to force menu resolution to 1920x1080 in syslinux configuration I discovered Uraid was booting legacy mode. I had to turn off Secure Boot in the UEFI BIOS options to get Uraid to boot UEFI. When I did this Uraid booted 1920x1080 however when you log into Unraid gui it reverts back to 1024x768. Something isn't right with Unraid or the configuration. I am using version 6.6.6. Please help. The way I see it there are two

VM icon change in XML view mode doesn't apply, leaving icon unchanged after update is applied. However you can manually edit the XML metadata to change to a different icon if you know the filename. VM icon change in GUI edit mode still works as expected.

Hello, this is my very first unraid installation and loving it already! Everything is working as smooth as possible and my only minor issue is that the unraid UI does not show disk temperatures. It shows an asterisk * as temperature for every drive attached. My unraid machine is HP DL380e G8 (with 14 LFF slots) server with P420 controller (RAID disabled) and I see every drive correctly in unraid. I also see the drive temperatures if I click any of the disks and scroll down to SMART at

After what appeared to be a successful installation, I rebooted when prompted. Instead of the Unraid gui opening, I received an error that the site was unreachable. I logged into the IPMI interface on the server, and it showed Unraid was at the Tower Login, but no gui. I don't have a diagnostics log to share. I am willing to attempt the same process with my backup USB stick to see what happens, but if it fails, I would need help to get a log file out of it. The good news, is I was a

Hi team I've tried upgrading to 6.6.x a couple of times now with both times having random lock ups as if none of the AMD teams had been done. Both times were able to switch back to 6.5.7 without a problem.

Black Friday I upgraded to an AMD RX 580 and installed 18.9.3 onto a W10 vm. A few weeks ago I tried to update to 18.12.1 to try and fix an issue, and as soon as Windows tries to assign the drivers, it black screens and freezes the VM. I was able to downgrade and gave up on upgrading. I recently tried upgrading to 18.12.2 and I got the same issue. This time, I thought if I booted into barebone windows (my vm drive is an nvme passed through) and installed the driver, and it worked, I could bo

I am running my unRAID with a domain name internally. When I update apps and docker images the json responses are blocked due to CSRF settings for some reason. Only able to work correctly when using the IP address. Additionally I want to run unRAID in the orginizer app but again, updates are blocked with errors about being run in an iframe. The rest of the site works just fine in the iframe.

Performed an update of a docker image (zoneminder) and it had an error at some point in the update. After which my zoneminder image was gone and there was an orphaned image in the list of docker images. I was not able to get it running again so had to kill the orphan in cli and recreate the image from scratch.

I passed some usb mass storage device through to my VM, I stopped the VM and removed the usb device. When I later tried to start the VM again it complained about a missing usb device. Since USB has hot plug capabilities I would think that is better to give a warning instead of an error. But even worse I could not remove the usb device in the settings since it was not shown if not plugged. I was lucky that I still knew which usb stick it was so I could plug it in and disable the pass through

When in a VM that's started without VM-compatible hardware, the UI shows two small inconsistences. Please have a look at the images. - Clicking on VM Manager brings up the information that I can't create KVM VMs (VM2.png). It's not possible to configure VM Manager. That's ok, I think. - The tab VMS is still shown (VM1.png) even on that hardware. Does that mean I can't create a VM but I can run a VM? Is this ok? - When entering the VMS tab, I'm allowed to creat

Hello, after a Mainboard change and the switch to ECC-Ram, there are unclear Softlocks of the whole System. In the Error state I can't access the Server over the WebGUI and when I'm at the console in my Basement the Server locks fine, but will not respond to Keyboard inputs. If this happens and I push the Start button on the Server I get an immediate shutdown of the System. My System has a Xeon X3440 with 8 GB of ECC-Ram and I'm not able to get the System out of the Rack until Sunday.

No matter what I do trying to update the VM returns this error... I have an USB audio interface which I can't ad from the normal editor, which I can circumvent with adding <hostdev mode='subsystem' type='usb' managed='no'> <source> <vendor id='vendorID'/> <product id='productID'/> </source> </hostdev> The problem is have not ticked the audio interface (see image), and I'm not even trying to add it. Docker port conflicts are no longer highlighted to the user in template editor. Previously port numbers would be highlighted in red on the docker allocations drop-down, when template default port conflicted with existing port allocations... signifying an issue to be rectified. If a user doesn't pickup the conflict manually, the result is a failed container creation.

Version: 6.6.6 Problem: Unable to update a VM. After clicking "update," the button simply changes to "updating..." and never finishes. Replication Steps: 1. Select VM and click "Edit" 2. Change Name (or toggle "autostart"... just to test some kind of change😞 3. Click "Update". Other Notes: If it helps to diagnose the problem, toggling "auto start" from the "Virtual Machines" main menu works perfectly (see image below

One of my disks reported a HUGE number of writes (see Main.pdf) immediately after restarting unraid. I was unmounting and remounting disk6 to rebuild it. disk5 had the large number of writes and the write errors when I mounted disk6 and restarted..... I've had this happen with disk5 a couple of times in the past. This is with stable 6.6.6 unraid - log attached. log.txt Main.pdf qnas-diagnostics-20190206-0745.zip
