UPS Recommendation
I'd say get a cheap watt meter and take the actual wattage readout at the plug (full spin up). You haven't mentioned your system but 450W sounds like an awfully huge number.

UPS Recommendation
Can't make any recommendations at this point. It could be that their lowest priced consumer grade models are/were particularly problematic e.g. Eaton 5E. The referenced 5S might be the opposite as far as I know. I haven't looked closely in those.

Finally upgrading parity drive to 12Tb - recommendations on brand / model ?
Both are good choices, with the Pro being a much better value at these prices. 3 year vs 5 year warranty for the Pro. Pros are rated for 300tb/year compared to 180tb/year for non-pros.

Stop Buying WD NAS Drives (SpaceRex)
"Western Digital has ben caught again with anti consumer practices on their NAS drives. This time they are marking some of their drives which have had more than 3 years of power on hours as 'warning' within Synology DSM (this is right after their 3 year warranty runs out). This can cause tons of issues within DSM, as actual warnings, such as too many relocated sectors, will go unnoticed. This is not the first time WD NAS drives have had serious anti-consumer behavior, the most notable was them secretly shipping SMR drives as NAS drives."

UPS Recommendation
Yes, it is. But IMO Eaton still delivers better value (quality for the cost). Eaton > APC > Cyberpower P.S. did a quick search on consumer models by Eaton. It's returned a surprising number of quality related issues.

UPS Recommendation
According to that thread Eaton units get detected out of the box. But if it's not the case then the NUT plugin should take care of the problem.

PSA on SanDisk USBs
It's a legit drive according to the reports above. Might as well get a few before they all get phased out.

UPS Recommendation
You might also want to consider an Eaton-branded UPS which is usually a better value compared to APC.

UPS Recommendation
Most of reasonably priced UPSs are of the Line Interactive kind. The referenced units differ in the output waveform type (stepped vs sine) and communication interface specs (the first one seems to have none). The cheaper stepped waveform spec is good enough and should be OK with modern PSUs. But you must make sure that the unit has a built-in USB communication interface - the only way for your Unraid server to communicate with the UPS.

Is a i3-10100T enough CPU for Unraid
The reason for my question on the nature of his SSDs. @davidst95 could utilize both of those available M.2 slots by installing NVMe drives but only if used with a 11th gen CPU. The first M.2 slot (M.2_1) gets disabled if used with a 10th gen processor.

Corsair TX550M?- Intel Core i9-13900K with SuperMicro X13SAE-F or Gigabyte MW34-SP0?
Yeah, I did notice that switch but couldn't really come to any conclusion since I don't have any knowledge of its exact function. Have they somehow managed to miss the M.2/SATA-ports lane limitations and failed to mention it on both the webpage and manual?? Who knows. It's actually quite possible judging by Gigabytes CS service responses as related to rev. 1.0 of the board. rev. 1.0 turned out to be quite a disaster. The question about the potentially disabled SATA ports scenario has already been asked a long while ago on this very active thread and got no responses. https://forum.level1techs.com/t/gigabyte-mw34sp0-motherboard/189112 No, I don't own the board. - New ex-raid, ex-wd-nas, Unraid user
