  1. To delete a share from the unraid webgui the share needs to be empty. If you see no files in the share enable hidden files view and check to see if there are any files. Delete then clear the share name in the webgui and you should be good to go.
  2. I'm not sure if this is an issue or not, but wanted to point out that your initial system log shows your second MV8 card negotiating the following in the PCI-E x1 slot: sas: DONE DISCOVERY on port 3, pid:871, result:0 Mar 20 07:09:33 Tower kernel: mvsas 0000:03:00.0: mvsas: driver version 0.8.2 Mar 20 07:09:33 Tower kernel: mvsas 0000:03:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 16 (level, low) -> IRQ 16 Mar 20 07:09:33 Tower kernel: mvsas 0000:03:00.0: setting latency timer to 64 Mar 20 07:09:33 Tower kernel: mvsas 0000:03:00.0: mvsas: PCI-E x1, Bandwidth Usage: 2.5 Gbps I would guess you are using the onboard graphics option of the board, does this take out the x16 slot for use as an add-on card option? I will point out this note on the motherboard specification page: (Note 4) When the PCI Express x4 slot (PCIEX4_1) operate at up to x4 mode, the PCIEX1_2 and PCIEX1_3 slots become unavailable. On your new components I would do some research as there have been problems identified with both the MB and card you are wanting to upgrade to and see if you are wiling to live with them.
  3. Rename the SF 1.0.11.plg to something like SF 1.0.11.plg.old, or move it to a different directory.
  4. I would first check how you have the data cables ran. Are they parallel with the power cables? Grouped together? If so run change the cable runs a little and see if it improves. I think it was Joe L that has a post in a thread talking about this, but I can't seem to find it right now.
  5. Sounds to me like your on the right track as far as checking the BIOS. Not sure which MB your using, but if there is a setting for removable drives you may need to disable that also so it will pick up the USB thumb drive as a hard drive vise identifying it as a removable drive.
  6. All with problems, disable your add ons and post a syslogs so Tom can trouble-shoot the issues! Just stating the issue is not helping solve the problem.
  7. Why don't you disable all plugins like requested try it out clean and if you get the same issue post a system log so Tom can look at what the problem might be.
  8. rcrh, I had those issues after installing simple features. I removed simple features and all has been fine for a month. Try uninstalling simple features and see if that does not stableize your issues. In the meantime you could install unmenu which has not given me any issues since I started using unraid.
  9. I would go with the vanilla setup, get your array protected, add any additional data to array run a parity check and only then play with add ons. Simple features is once, but has had issues with the newer rc of unraid. Unmenu has been working great for me. I just want my media streamed to me with an interface that I can use when needed, which is not that often.
  10. Your virtual server will still be using the components in your build and should not add to the power draw. If I'm not mistaken Greenleafs build is based on green drives. If you add reds or other 7200rpm drives you may need to bump it up.
  11. Good catch did not see original post date, read the date of the last post. Too funny
  12. I will add my +1 to this is correct. I just wanted you to have more than one comment stating you are correct. This is the board and SATA card I am using.
  13. Have you attempted different memory sticks? I ask because I had a similar issue although with a gigabyte MB and turned out that my ram went bad and would not post most of the time, but did manage to post once or twice. Replaced with a new stick and has been problem free since.
  14. I see you are running plex. I had this issue with plex when I first started using it. Have you attempted to shut down plex prior to unmounting your drives? I am not a system log expert, but I noticed that it appears that it looks like something in your crontab file is keeping your drives from unmounting.
  15. I know the author of simple features stated that if using rc11 the new version .11 I believe of simple features was needed. Personally I would go to stock unraid by disabling simple features test and see if problem goes away or persists. If it goes away then install add ons one at a time to see where it goes south.
  16. I am also not sure what I will use mine for either. We shall see. Jason I used your referee link. Here is mine http://chunkhost.com/r/Burt8571
  17. Although I am not specifically familiar with that board, it only has 1 type x16 slot, and it may only be able to be used for graphic cards. I know there are threads here that talk about it, but the Asus forums might be a good place to start your search.
  18. Not knowing what hardware you will be reusing I would suggest an I3 sandy or ivy. The ivy should save you a little electricity, but will cost a little more upfront.
  19. Supermicro boards do not give the actual temp in the IPMI, only low/normal/high
  20. Have you given a Pico power supply thought? I'm not sure what you have in your HTPC, but I have a 150W Pico running an I3-2100t, WD 1TB green drive, 60 gig SSD, 8 gigs of memory, a Hauppauge 2250 tuner card and a USB remote and keyboard. My system running 1080P playback is around 45W with 32W at idle. I have had no issues in the year I have been running this setup. This option may allow you to keep the case you have now.
  21. I am by no means an expert on Plex or unRaid, but according to the logs you have a lot of error messages and one of them is the web guy. It looks to me as if you have it installing to the flash drive, you want to install it to one of your data drives or cache drive if you have one. I have mine installed on my cache drive.
