  1. It should work, you can see a similar adapter on this thread and the JMB585 is working fine with Unraid.
  2. I have two 4 drives cage laying around from an old proliant. They too have the motherboard connector but they work fine without. I used them with a P410 HBA in my own attempt to build a DIY server case with a LTO drive.
  3. It should be "powertop-2.15-x86_64-1.txz" and 2.17MB in size. EDIT : I just checked https://github.com/mgutt/unraid-packages/raw/main/6.11.0/powertop-2.15-x86_64-1.txz and the link work for me.
  4. Hello, With the release of the version 1.0 of Komga, the default port went from 8080 to 25600 so the template need to be fixed for Komga to work after update. More infos here : https://komga.org/installation/upgrade.html
  5. I do wind chime with them, like that : This one is not mine. I did two of them. For the upper part, I used old 5"1/4 Quantum Bigfoot platter and 10 standard 3"1/2 platters for the hanged part. Everything with fishing thread. Inspired by : https://www.evilmadscientist.com/2006/how-to-make-hard-drive-wind-chimes/ So yes, I drill holes too...
  6. I had to try 3 different computers before I could update my sata card. Is the card visible in the Windows's peripherals manager? Maybe you have a faulty card? Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  7. You can trim down this kind of pcb by snapping off the part that you don't need. I had to do that on a m.2 2 USB adapter.
  8. As I did it, yes. I created a docker based on this Dockerfile docker-tachidesk/Dockerfile at main · Suwayomi/docker-tachidesk (github.com) and uploaded the final image on my dockerhub. I have no knowledge on github's fork but it should be possible to automate this.
  9. If you see the lsi config menu, it possible that you are still in legacy mode or have CSM activated in your uefi. You should try disactivate CSM or go full uefi. I had a similar problem with an HP p410 on a dell motherboard. Impossible to boot until I get ride of any legacy related option in the uefi. The downside is that you can't acces the card config utility but if it's in it mode, you don't really need it. Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  10. Wikipedia say that an 8x drive go up to 11 MB/s (22 for a 16x) where a sata hdd go easily at 170 MB/s so take a second drive and rip 2 disk at a time and no cache ^^
  11. I will add that I did it too and that the silverstone flasher is, in fact an asmedia software. Before upgrading I did too had kicked out drives ans since then, no problem.
  12. Glad to hear that. [emoji106] Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  13. form my own experience, I worked on tachidesk-server docker. To solve the right problem, I edited the second ligne of the dockerfile from RUN groupadd --gid 1000 suwayomi && useradd --uid 1000 --gid suwayomi --no-log-init suwayomi; to RUN useradd --uid 99 --gid users --no-log-init suwayomi; the users group already in the image with the right gid. So far, I downloaded and read chapters without problems.
  14. It look a lot like mine. I flashed the silverstone firmware you can found here : https://www.silverstonetek.com/en/product/info/expansion-cards/ECS06/ I had to use two différents computer to make it work but it solved my problem with the card (lost drives and slow speed) and reduced my consumption from 31w to 23-24w. Keep in mind that's not an officially supported card, it worked for me and others but I can't guarantee you it will work for you. Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  15. I replaced my LSI HBA by this one https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005003213967516.html , flashed the news firmware and so far, it work.
  16. Good to hear. Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  17. When you launch the update utility, it will scan for compatibles peripherals and display the firmware version of the card it found. I had to use two different computer to do the firmware upgrade, on the first one, the app would freeze after clicking the upgrade button every time I tried. On the second one, it took a couple of seconds to finish it. Again, I took the risk to upgrade it because I couldn't send it back. The app look generic but you never know if it's not customised a little by silverstone as the spi field talk about unknown spi for the card. In one line, it worked for me but nothing say it will work for without breaking everything. Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  18. I'm blind... UPS stat is on the screenshot I posted... Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  19. Hello, just brought Controlr and here are the first qwirks I came across. On the main page of my server, if I switch the rocker "I want to do this" in the Array part, the app crash directly. I can stop the array without switching the rocker and I expect it's not the right behaviour. I saw in Companion the UPS part and activated it but I can't see anything related to it in Controlr. I'm looking forward for futurs updates. Controlr version 5.2.1 Companion version 4.0.0 Android version 10 Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  20. I just receved my generic ASM1166, updated with the last silverstone firmware and no problem since then with --auto-tune.
  21. Because when I rolled back to my LSI, everything worked back after the rebuild on the same drive. With the impossibility to send the 1166 back, lost for lost, I flashed the Silverstone ECS06 firmware on it but from a third computer and everything worked. (firmware ugraded from rev 2011 to 2111) I launched a parity check to load the controller and it's running at an estimated speed of 120 Mb/s when it was between 30Mb/s and 360Kb/s before the firmware upgrade. It's definitly slower then the LSI but in idle, I'm now at 25 Watts instead of 32 Watts. EDIT : forgot to stop my dockers, I'm at >200Mb/s estimated speed in parity check. EDIT 2 : Parity check finished and no probleme so far, power use between 23.3 and 24.5w in idle.
  22. So, I ordered myself a generic 1166, great. But after swapping my old HBA for the new card and every drives where at the right place, things started to go wrong. One drive disconnected itself and each time I reintegrated it in the array, after a couple of minutes of rebuilding, it would go down again. So, if someone has an up-to-date firmware for it, I would gladly download it. I already tryed the silverstone one but ended with a not responding process. Envoyé de mon S88Plus en utilisant Tapatalk
  23. Interisting, I was looking to change my LSI SAS2008 for a ASM1166 but, it doesn't seem to be a really good option.
  24. Hello, As you can expect with my posts count, I'm new here. And from France, so expect some misspelling and other awkward sentence... Roughly 35 days in and for now, I regret nothing and learned a lot. Here is my build (and I will calculate the bills alongside). Case : Fractal design Node 604 (40€), a little beaten as the previous owner tryed to fit a µATX in. Processor : Intel i3-8100t (48.80€), used from ebay. Motherboard : ECS H310CH5-M2 (52.90€), the only big part that's new. (4 sata, 1Pci-e 16x, 1PCI-e 1x). Power Supply : a scavanged Silverstone modular PSU (20€) RAM : 16Gb 2*Kingston KHX2133C14D4/8G (from my parts bin) Storage : 6*Seagate ST2000DM006 bought new some years ago between 25 and 35€ each on leboncoin. Cache : 2*128Gb sata drives in pool (appdata) from the parts bin and 1 Intel 512Gb nvme from the bin (but 59€ in 2019) too but with a PCI-e 1x adapter (7.96€ from amazon) HBA : LSI SAS2008 in IT mode because 6+2 drives is more then the 4 sata of the motherboard... Also from the parts bin. scews : 2*20 scews for the HDD, you know, the one that go through the rubber dampener (5.29€ from aliexpress). Fan : 1*140mm Noctua NF-P14s as the original one had a broken blade that I didn't saw when I brough the case... (15.90€ from amazon), and a Be Quiet Pure Wings 2 (10.70€) for the front, coupled with a Be Quiet Shadow Wings 2 salvaged from an old project. USB : a Samsung Barplus (16.18€) recommanded by SpaceInvader One with a internal USB to USB2 adapter for 3.50€ because what does not stick out cannot be wrecked. So in total : 456.73€ for a 8Tb+512Gb+128Gb unraid server. It peak at 140w at lauch, 80w with all disk spinning and 31 to 29w in idle. I'm trying to optimize the consumption but I expect the LSI to stop me in going lower then C3. I will probably refactor the server with more optimized component next year (I already sourced a Corsair RM550X for 40€).
