  1. Good day. Today unraid crashed in the early morning after nearly 30 days of uninterrupted operation. Gui and ssh were inaccessible. I'm attaching the diagnostics zip as well as a more extensive syslog (longer timeframe). It appears there's an issue with the dynamix system stats plugin. Any guidance is much appreciated. unraid-diagnostics-20230215-0920.zip syslog-192.168.99.100.log
  2. I report the same problem. Lastest image crashes
  3. I use https://nginxproxymanager.com/ . Run for about 2 years. No issues
  4. @SimonF thank you very much for the plugin and guidance. i got it to work.
  5. Good day all. I want to connect a usb to a rpi and see it in unraid. I've installed ```sudo apt-get install usbip``` in the rpi and then tried to connect to unraid per below But it doesn't connect. If any one can provide the steps/commands to be added to the rpi to enable the connection, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  6. Good day, so I am running 2 vms with 2 gpus simultaneously. One thing I've set up differently is the vfio binding. I've left the primary gpu (the one unraid will use on start up) unbound and only assign it in the vm definition. When I start the associated vm, the card just 'transfers' and all good.
  7. @aymanibousi I just noticed your unifi port forwarding is wrong. Should be like this: You forward 443 to the port on your server, in your case 18443
  8. @aymanibousi im not sure but it seems youre mixing certificates. in your cloudflare set up youve selected full strict. My understanding is in that option you need to use the cloudflare certificate end to end, but you mention using letsencrypt. Did you get the 'free' 15 year cloudflare certificate? In my set up I got the cloudflare certificate, downloaded it to my pc and then added it as 'cusom' to nproxy. Then I just select it instead of letsencrypt.
  9. @Madman2012 That's because the docker run command did not included a name variable ( for example -name catalina). So docker assigns a random name. To rename it type in terminal docker rename <current_name> <new_name>
  10. @alhatmy Good day. I used to have etisaltat but I've since moved to du, because regrettably it's not available in my community. However until a year ago I was using etisalat and 443 wasnt blocked. Have you verified the port is indeed closed? use something like portchecker.com to confirm. To set up cloudflare tunnel, follow this video
  11. @alhatmy I'm in your same country and I can access remotely. Basically you have 2 options: Call Etisalat and ask to open the port and they'll tell you you need to pay a static ip. Or Use a cloudflare tunnel
  12. Not much of a guide, more of a sharing info on this project. Easiest way to create a MacOs vm in a docker container. For unraid I've used the vnc-version. Simply download the project, go into vnc-version and create a Catalina with this 2 commands: Create your own image with docker build -t docker-osx-vnc . Run container with docker run --device /dev/kvm --device /dev/snd -p 8888:5999 -p 50922:10022 -d --privileged docker-osx-vnc:latest Access vnc with password extracted with docker ps # copy container ID and then docker exec abc123fgh456 tail vncpasswd_file Video at
  13. 14. @mavrrick @MAM59 For CPU cooling I have a "be quiet" tower cooler. Thank you very much for taking the time to write your recommendations. It is much appreciated. I have reviewed all these points and I think the answer appears to be much simpler than anticipated. I have had this server in this configuration for about 2 years. About 1 year ago I moved to a new place and the server to a spot where I now realised it was not getting proper air flow. It had not started shutting down until recently but apparently the issue had been providing signs i couldn't work out until now. I live in a hot climate and the server is in my office, which is airconditioned during the day. At night the AC is off and the door is shut. Pretty much every day I noticed in the glances panel that at around 3am the iowait would increase which I now presume was related to throttling back. This has been going on for months and I really had no clue. After following the recommendations I decided to change the server location. The immediate result was a temperature drop of about 5 degrees; but more revealing the above mentioned iowait error disappeared. I'll keep monitoring and hopefully this is the solution. Thank you again for taking the time to look into my issue.
  15. @mavrrick once again thank you for your time. I have the following cards: GeForce GTX 1050 Ti - transcoding plex, frigate (on 24hr) GeForce GTX 1650 - archlinux daily driver (on 24hr) Radeon RX 470/480 - spare vm (on ocassionally) Also i have Coral Edge TPU - working on frigate. Power supply is EVGA 850 B3, 80 Plus BRONZE 850W, Difficult to say exact demand at the time, but I dont believe cpu was over 30% utilisation.
  16. @itimpi thank you for the correctiont. Nevertheless pearl is installed. @mavrrick thank you for your help. I determined it overheat, because is saw tctl escalate pass 90 degrees and got distracted with something else; following which the unit shutdown. I do have 3 GPUs. 1 on my daily driver, 1 on full transcoding, 1 for the occasional spare desktop duty. Thing is, this has all been runing fine for 2 years. Then again "all it's fine until it isn't".
  17. @doobyns Thank you for your help. I have the dynamix system temp plugin installed and perl comes installed by default in 6.11. Nerd tools has been deprecated I also have tips and tweaks and will try the governor scaling tip. It was set to performance, so I'll modify and monitor.
  18. @Frank1940 Thank you for your response. I'm not overclocking, i dont even game.
  19. Good day, ever since upgrading to 6.11 the server has experienced sporadic shutdowns. I was eventually able to see the behaviour while sitting at the screen and the culprit seems to be CPU overheat. I have checked fans and cleaned filters, but today the server shutdown again. A change I noticed is that the asus motherboard temperature sensors, now come through to unraid. Not sure it has any bearing. Any guidance is much appreciated. syslog-192.168.99.100.log unraid-diagnostics-20221022-1353.zip
  20. Good day. the usual root@Unraid:~# lxc-start -F focal Failed to mount cgroup at /sys/fs/cgroup/systemd: Operation not permitted [!!!!!!] Failed to mount API filesystems. Exiting PID 1... root@Unraid:~# It's the only ubuntu not working. Xenial, bionic, jammy all ok.
  21. Good day, anyone been able to run ubuntu 2004 (focal)? Cant get it to start even with the systemd workaround.
  22. i have win11 passing card like this and works fine. Try Machine: Q35.6.2 Bios: OVMF Bus: SATA
  23. I would presume it is possible, but currently it's only packaged as a docker image. I dont know enough to build it in a vitual environment or similar.
  24. Once again thank you. It's a very useful tool. (lxc) I can see how much more efficient it is for setting/using 'throwaway' vms or those set up just to run a specific application. Compared to a full vm, resource utilisation is minimal. I was curious to see how frigate would perform; but while it did the job (using the coral and nvidia card) it does have a minimal yet noticeable lag when compared to a direct docker on unraid. I guess it's to be expected when doing..... unraid > lxc > debian > docker > frigate as opposed to unraid > docker > frigate. I'm sure I'm not the only one extremely thankful for the effort you devote to this community and also understand that paying the bills is the prerogative. Thank you again !!!!!!!!!!
