It just keeps repeating in the log.  It said there was an update, did that, but still the errors in the log keep coming.  

 

I had to uninstall the plugin.  Looks like something is wrong.....

Ah...just found Chrome open on my pc open, but minimized so I didn't see it.   Thank you!  I just assumed it was a preclear thing, due to the error message containing the word preclear.

Rebooting the serve has allowed the prelcear to start. Not sure why, but, ok.

When I stop the array these messages occur every second in my log:

Just installed a new drive. Was about to preclear it however, everything about the drive is coming up undefined. It is the same for the other drive that I have (which is already precleared). 

 

Any ideas? Have attached a screengrab and logs.

That's right. Which disk are you having problems with?

Both of the drives show the same "undefined" thing. 

 

WCC4N0KZLNH1 is already precleared (did that about a month ago). WCC4N0NF1KKN is a new drive to me (although second hand) and what I was looking to preclear. 

I am also having same issue and when i try start Preclear status does not show and just sits there.

 

Trying to run preclear_disk.sh -A /dev/sdd 

and i get the following:
Sorry: Device /dev/sdd is busy.: 1

Even though this is still in unassigned and just sitting there

I am also having this issue, I started a new thread not realizing this existed, mods here it is if you want to delete it

If it's any help, what is happening is that the serial number is shortened.

My disk serial number is:

WDC_WD2500AAJS-00VTA0_WD-WMART0840766

And what showed on the plugin UI was:

WMART0840766

Could it be a php handling of the '-'?

How do I get you the log if it is empty?  Something I need to do to turn it on?

The update I released an hour ago will compress diskinfo and preclear logs into one single zip file. That and the diagnostics file is enough to present all information I need to replicate this.

Saw it and updated.  Looks like it fixed it.

I also re-enabled diskinfo in UD on my test server and it looks good.  I'll do a bit more testing this weekend and if all is good I'll release an update to UD with the diskinfo enabled.

It's not easy to cache information, update it when needed and keep everything in a consistent state. Let's see if this time it work as expected.
