  1. Can't speak for your software but some I have used in the past expects a different tape for the incremental backups. So you do a full backup on day 1 (Tape 1) Incremental on day 2 - Backs up what changed since day 1 (Tape 2) Incremental on day 3 - Backs up what changed since day 2 (Tape 3) To restore everything to day 3 you need all three tapes.
  2. I just create a home video section and make the file names make sense..... Mostly sports stuff gets deleted after I watch it so there isn't a massive amount of stuff in the section anyway.
  3. If my 825 supermicro chassis is anything to go by the biggest issue will be noise. Mine wails like a banshee.
  4. You probably need to create a layer 3 interface on the vlan. In cisco land you do this by just doing :- int vlan 30 ip address 1.1.1.1 255.255.255.0 A quick google suggests the config for Brocade might be :- interface ve 30 ip address 1.1.1.1/24 The page I found was for an MLX series switch so your mileage may vary.... http://community.brocade.com/t5/Ethernet-Switches-Routers/Logical-SE-SVI-Connection-between-Brocade-MLX-amp-Cisco-4503/td-p/25991 I can't find an online manual for your switch.
  5. The Roku App was a separate payment.
  6. It was free to everyone at one time and then they made new non-plex pass users pay for it.... last email seemed to suggest it was free for everyone again..... so maybe that is the problem.
  7. Working well for me.... however, it runs some processes as user 103 and I get UID errors when I run lsof etc (in unraid) Tasks: 331 total, 2 running, 329 sleeping, 0 stopped, 0 zombie Cpu(s): 11.1%us, 0.7%sy, 0.0%ni, 86.8%id, 1.5%wa, 0.0%hi, 0.0%si, 0.0%st Mem: 8218048k total, 7977392k used, 240656k free, 325796k buffers Swap: 0k total, 0k used, 0k free, 4143428k cached PID USER PR NI VIRT RES SHR S %CPU %MEM TIME+ COMMAND 17047 103 20 0 245m 12m 11m S 0 0.2 0:13.70 postgres 17059 103 20 0 245m 138m 136m S 0 1.7 0:59.88 postgres 17060 103 20 0 245m 133m 132m S 0 1.7 0:10.14 postgres 17061 103 20 0 245m 3952 2668 S 0 0.0 0:24.87 postgres 17062 103 20 0 245m 4156 2588 S 0 0.1 0:08.76 postgres 17063 103 20 0 104m 2152 504 S 0 0.0 0:47.88 postgres ... root@Tower:~# lsof ... lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 lsof: no pwd entry for UID 103 .... I assume this is user postgres in the docker.
  8. I wonder if someone can help. I have setup a new docker, just a fork on github with a few changes, I have then setup a build on docker hub and it is syncing correctly. I have also setup a repo in github. All of this is working great, I can download the docker and get everything to work along with updates... but only through force update. It never recognises that it is out of date if I do check for updates. Is there some trick to getting this functionality to work? Thanks!
  9. We use HDMI over ethernet at work.... my experience of it is pretty poor so I would definitely do some research before buying anything. We have problems with resolutions and the adaptors breaking mostly. The structured cabling in some of our locations is pretty ropey however so that might be partly to blame.
  10. About 120w each for my two big systems... dunno about the HP, that's mostly switched off.
  11. I also used FreeNAS before unraid.... It was OK back then but I would tend to agree with others, striped arrays are a pain in the arse.
  12. I used Gomez for years, don't expect to get rich Much of the time it was just sitting idle to be honest, waiting for work. It doesn't use CPU really just bandwidth. I forget how much I used to get, no more than a few dollars a month tho
  13. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Supermicro-AOC-SASLP-MV8-8-Port-SAS-SATA-300MB-s-PCI-e-Controller-Card-/151663878200?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item234fdf2038 I have no affiliation with the seller or any idea if they are any good.....
  14. Expect to get 2.5TB per tape if you have mostly media on your server since it mostly will not compress. I did look at this myself and decided the cost was too great compared to just buying drives and shipping them off site.
  15. I reported issues with CSRF previously and no-one ever replied to me..... I haven't got around to testing v6 but version 5 was painful to test because the GUI blows up as soon as you try doing most things and since there is no way to restart it you have to reboot the box every five minutes.
  16. I have 24 drives running in my main system, mixture of different drives on a 650w PSU..... mostly it draws about 100-120w from the wall.... everything spun down. As squid says mostly you aren't going to be able to tell how much power a particular PSU will draw and what efficiency you will get. 80+ Gold certified for example is 88% efficiency at 20% load... which for my 650w is 130w..... slightly more than my system idles at normally.... and outside what they publish efficiency graphs for. (Corsair HX650W) I have those NF-P12's I believe, they are fine. like I say, the 80mm's at the back probably make the most noise.
  17. I have a couple of x-case 24 bay enclosures. The supplied 120mm fans are noisy and very high RPM so I replaced those with noctua 120mms. I was hoping to run without the 80mm back fan.... sadly this was not possible as some of the drives were hitting 50C so had to install some Arctic F8's in the back too. Still the temps on my Hitachi drives get to 45C. They run pretty warm anyway but this might not be acceptable to some folks. One of my servers is fully populated, I think the other has 14 disks in it right now. Overall the cases are good for the money but you aren't going to be impressed if you have any experience of enterprise class server hardware. imho 750w is overkill for the PSU. I'm using 650's in mine.
  18. Try the new card on it's own? Swap slots? When the system boots you should see both cards initialize their drives on the same screen like this :- except without the error
  19. What is wrong with just keeping the 590?
  20. I've bought from Amazon before too, free postage from there.
