I'm a bit perplexed by the Timezone settings. According to the linuxserver github page: Since I'm not getting mono exceptions (or don't know where to go to find them, I'm assuming the timezone is set somewhere, but I have no clue what it's set to. Where do I go to check its current setting and/or change the setting to ensure it's on UTC-5 (which is appropriate for me)? Oh, and Merry Christmas!

Argh! I finally figured out why sonarr wouldn't pick up shows downloaded by SAB - it's all in the container path mapping, of course. I'm using binhex's SAB container and he's got /data -> /path/to/downloaded/files, while the lsio dockers have /downloads -> /path/to/downloaded/files. So, now that I have that working, properly, I've got about 30 episodes that Sonarr picked up & fed to SAB and SAB DL'd for me. They're sitting on my cache drive, and instead of re-downloading them, how do I get sonarr to pick them up & process them now? When I click the "manual import" little-man icon, it tells me that "no video files were found in the selected folder". Can I make a temporary /data -> /path... in the sonarr docker config to get it to find them? I can! I can!! That seems to have worked a treat! As soon as sonarr's done importing all those downloaded files, I'll delete the extra mapping & I should be good to go. Next up, NZBget...

@CHBMB dude, I know @Squid has been accused of not having a life outside of unRAID, but I think you're just as bad (or is that good?). Just think, if you put as much effort into it as you do supporting other people's dockers, you could probably regrow some hair and change your user name!

@binhex thanks for chasing this ever changing landscape. I wish the boys would stop fighting and just settle down to some good code development... Airsonic has instructions on migrating from Subsonic, will these work for migrating from Libresonic with a s/Sub/Libre/ in them? I guess I'll have to give this one a shot now. On the other hand, maybe this is an opportunity to look into Emby or Plex. Sigh...

It didn't take long to get Radarr setup & working, but it doesn't seem to have the management of existing movies down as well as CP. I guess I really don't need that, but I do like to pull up CP in NZB Unity while I'm out and about to see if this movie that's on sale is one I've already got or not. I've already deleted it, but maybe I'll reinstall it (it was just that easy) and let it do its thing again. And... I'm glad someone got the reference.

@jbrodriguez - Maybe you should put a note near the top of your OP indicating that it doesn't support WAN access, that you're not planning on implementing it (as you've mentioned a couple of times), a quick run-down on the reasons why, and the recommendation that people install OpenVPN-AS if they want/need WAN access. Being able to point people to the big red text in the OP should eliminate a lot of the questions and arguments about it and save everyone a lot of typing. Just a thought... Also, I think that many people's idea of a VPN is that it's a service they pay for to hide/obfuscate their access to something from their network as opposed to running the server on their own machine (for free) to be able to securely get access to their own internal LAN from elsewhere.

You mean like the ones that were hacked within minutes giving bad guys immediate and complete access to people's home networks and every machine on them? No thanks! Teamviewer is similar in concept to OpenVPN-AS as wgstarks mentioned. Both of those systems have large teams of people who do security for a living. As I've mentioned before (in this thread) jbrodriguez does a great job, but do you want to rely on him and only him to ensure the security of your home network? (BTW- he's said he's really not interested in adding this type of direct access via his app/plug-in combo.) Install the OpenVPN-AS server on your unRAID box - it'll take you less than an hour to configure it, even if you struggle (look for my questions in the lsio thread to avoid the same pitfalls I hit). Install the OVPN client on your phone or tablet, then connect & voila, your device is on your home network & ControlR will work like a champ no matter where in the world you are with the minimum amount of risk to your server & other home computers.

Maybe I'm being a bit slow - wouldn't be the first time... I found "binhex couchpotato git" in CA: But when I click the "Support Thread" link, it brings me here. I've been running the "regular" "binhex couchpotato" for quite a while: for the most part it seems to be working reasonably well, but there have been a few minor glitches. A) is this the proper support thread for the "git" version? B) if I install the "git" version, do I have to manually reconfigure everything or can I copy my current appdata\couchpotato directory contents to the new appdata\couchpotato-git (or whatever it will be called) directory to maintain my existing configuration? C) Should I really just move on to Radarr and figure out how to get that working instead? It does appear that the most recent pull on CP's GitHub repository was about 6 months ago, so development isn't super active, but it's not totally dead ("I'm not dead yet!", "Shut up! He will be soon."). Either way, thanks @binhex for all your work over the years!

Well, the docker auto-updated itself. The new CrashPlan version looks like a really bad cross between a poor website and a local app. I found the "History", and this line is in it: "12/09/17 12:22 AM CrashPlan for Small Business started, version 6.6.0, GUID <snip>" so I guess I'm on the latest version, and it seems to be running. Going to take a bit of time to figure out the new interface design, but my first reaction is... meh.

Hey, @jbrodriguez, I've got 4.0.0 installed now, but on Firefox 57.0.1 the bottom bar still floats even though it shouldn't Nothing critical - when you get around to it.

If I recall, I was able to use the command line to change the password. I don't believe that it asked me for the current pwd before asking for the new one, but don't quote me on that - I've slept since then. Also, I'd agree with wgstarks - that would be a big security hole. Of course, once someone's got enough access to your machine to run "docker exec" it's really too late anyway...

@Bisu - there are lots of examples throughout this thread of doing so. You'll need to modify the configuration files within \\tower\appdata\letsencrypt\nginx\site-confs (that the Windows relative path there, not from the server). You can put it in the "default" config file, or, what I've done is to make a config file for each subdomain that contains these lines: I copied that from "default" and modified. You'd change "books" to "plex" near the top and change the IP address and port down there at the bottom. Should work. If not, search this thread for "plex" - I'm pretty sure I've seen a lot of people asking about it.

Thanks for the offer! Frankly, I haven't a clue what would make for a "good" server software vs a "less good" one. I'd relied very heavily on the knowledge and generosity of our great community. If someone tells me that the default ftp server in unRAID runs sftp just fine and is quite suitable, I'm more than happy to study up a bit and use that. I would prefer to use sftp, and my understanding is that the built in server is not particularly secure. Maybe I just need to get a better understanding of running an ftp server to know what I'm getting myself into. Sent from Tapatalk

Does this function as a server to which I can connect, or is this only the client with which I can connect to someone else's server?

This won't solve your issue with the function of the WebGUI via LE/NGINX, but it will allow you to accomplish effectively the same thing: I just setup an OpenVPN-AS server docker on my machine, and I use jbrodriguez's ControlR app. I get fairly full control of the server via the app, and if there's anything I can't do via the app, I can just open the web browser on my phone and connect to the server via its internal IP address, since I'm VPNed in. It would get you the same result, but by a different method. Just a though...

Turns out I'm a complete and utter nimnod. When it says "Dynamic IP Address" on the tin, that means the IP address within can change. It seems that my IP changed between when I initially got this setup and working and when I started trying to use it. Like within that 12ish hour window. I'm using ChangeIP.com for my DDNS, and I've got their "Homing Beacon" running. It did a fine job of changing the "@" record, but all my subdomains remained on the IP I'd originally set them to. I just found the docs that explain how to maintain all the host names, so I think I should be good to go from here.

I'm not the OpenVPN guru (see my issues just a few posts up), but I'm pretty sure you'll get more help if you post some logs and screen shots of your configuration instead of the browser error message. As a tip, try reading through my posts and the responses over the last 48 hours or so and double check all those items, you may well find your solution is already there. Then again, you may not... @Hoopster and @wgstarks - shocking, I know, but I opened those ports and now I can connect with no issue at all. I guess I was just busy having a brain dead evening. Thanks for the help. I am using the free version and probably will continue with that, but I may pony up for the paid version, depending on how much the kids use it. aptalca - what will happen now that I've created two users at the command line? I've added the same user names via the web interface, and I've connected using one of them (the other is my local admin account that will probably never be used for an actual VPN connection. Will they be deleted next time the docker is updated, or are they good now since I've added them the proper way?
