Not able to see smart attributes. I can start the array fine and everything seems normal other than that.
This is my backup server my main one doesn't have this problem.
diagnostics attached.

So I upgraded to 2.0.3 and everything was going OK and I could download for like a day and now its stopped working.
The torrents act like they want to start but they never do. I can see the swarms and everything but I cant ever connect to them. There are no errors in my log file so i'm kind of at a loss at what to do.
Anyone have any ideas on what to do about this it would be great. I havent tried uninstalling/reinstalling yet.
EDIT: This was a permissions problem since I upgraded my cache pool to raid 1. I nuked the docker and started over, nothings wrong with v203...
I did a parity check yesterday and disk 2 had a bunch of read errors. It passed a short smart test. Im doing a long smart test now.
What do you guys think is the drive really dead?

I think WD drives should be reading 0 under raw value in ideal conditions but I will run with it till it starts failing smart tests.
Thank you for your time Frank.
hmmm, all my other 4TB reds are showing 0 for raw read error rate. This one is showing 22.
Yeah about the age of the drive, I wasn't too worried about it. I just said that to let people know that it was out of warranty anyway so I can't send it in for RMA.
This WD red 4tb has almost 4 years power on hours so it's already out of warranty. It's a low raw read error rate of 22 but the rest of the smart report looks good. I don't think it's changed in awhile. Just wondering if I should replace it.
My first instincts is to buy a replacement drive just to have on hand but then let this 4TB drive run for a while longer in my server but watch it closely.

6.6.3 was very erratic for me when copying files from my ssd cache to my main array. I ended up rolling back to 6.6.2 and everything is fine again.
I'm running a xeon e3 haswell cpu so plenty of power there. Anyway I tested 6.6.3 for quite a few days and it just wasn't good for me.
Enterprise drives are claimed to have better vibration resistance, and in a 36 bay server it might make a difference, or it might not...
If it were me I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just buy the flavor you like that you think will be reliable. Wd reds are good drives and should work fine. I've got about 10 of them in my server and they've been flawless for me so far.
SMT will give you longer runtime. It's more of an enterprise grade model than the SMC.
Also with the SMT you can add that network management card into the back of it.
I wouldn't buy Seagate unless it was their enterprise capacity drives. Don't trust their desktop or nas drives. Barracuda, etc. Iron wolf pro might be OK though too.
I've got a bunch of WD reds. Like around 20 or so. They're great. Never had one fail.
I've started buying HGST Ultrastar He drives though and they are great too They are 7200 rpm but they run just as cool as the 5400 rpm reds.
WD Gold is probably real good too. I haven't had one yet but I imagine they are very similar to HGST Ultrastar He drives.
Right now i'm using a 24 port HP Procurve but thinking about changing it out for a Ubiquiti 48 port POE edge switch soon. I'm running out of ports plus I need POE, SFP+..
Ubiquiti edgerouter pro. Way overkill for my internet connection but I wanted a rack mounted router so I bought one.
I use 2x Unifi AP AC Pro for my wireless. 3500 sq ft home.
The LSI controller needs to be in IT mode. You can flash it with or without the bios though. Bios is mainly for if you need to run a bootable drive from the controller. Unraid won't need this since you're booting from a USB flash drive.
