  1. I have gone through all the settings in BIOS. The SSD works when ASPM option is disabled in BIOS.
  2. I have found this in dmesg nvme nvme1: Removing after probe failure status: -12 I suspect it can be caused by ASPM or IOMMU settings in bios.

  5. I have currently DDR4 ECC EUDIMMS in my system and never noticed ECC kicking in in my logs. What is you opinion on next gen Ryzen with DDR5? Is the on-die ECC enough to be safe from bitrot and thus any DDR5 is fine home server or is the cost of full blown ECC worth it?

  7. In my servers in the forums I get this error and web browser gives me DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN error. I am running unraid 6.9.2 I have my servers plugin 2022.07.26.1609 I have portforwarding set and check in unraid says it is OK, I have unraid.net domain in my openwrt RFC1918 whitelist. Can you navigate me with debugging this
  8. Just took an ISO for x86 from the official download page and created the VM from linux template. Today the versions are different, so you need to post logs to get more help
  9. A bit late to the party, but as far as I know only vGPU stuff reported working on unraid is intel iGPU up to 10th gen. The later intel iGPUs moved tovards SR-IOV but support in drivers has never been implemented. (should be working in Q4 2023 https://github.com/intel/linux-intel-lts/issues/33) There is a way to make vGPUs work with nVidia GTX 1000 and RTX 2000 series, craft computing made videos, there is a discord group https://discord.gg/cWx6VBXqbD. Those vGPUs might be used together with gamestream and moonlight client for best RDP experience.
  10. Can this plugin be searchable from Community applications? I have a cheap tuya plug (BSD33), ripped the plug apart, flashed tasmota, calibrated power metering, and conected with the plugin. Works fine, although I would like to read the power consumpltion with MQTT and not http.
  11. This appears to be partially solved. After numerous reboots of unraid and trial and error got it working and it should have worked since the first time. In tools -> system devices tick the USB and HD audio device to bind it to vfio, reboot as told. In VM passthru USB controller and Audio device, boot the vm. If it does not boot, try rebooting unraid. It will print, that audio device was not resetted because it depends on different IOMMU group, this is normal and should not cause any problems In VM you should have audio and USB working. Unfortunatelly I am not able to get the sound work, I have proper driver installed, but no sound goes out.. it even detects jack plugged in. I assume it is a windows issue, will tinker with different realtek audio drivers

  13. I have issues with my gigabyte x570 aorus master and ryzen 5900x. I am on unraid 6.9.2 and bios F33i with AGESA ComboV2 1.2.0.1 A I want to passthrough the onboard audio but getting the error: qemu-system-x86_64: vfio: Cannot reset device 0000:11:00.4, depends on group 37 which is not owned. If I passthrough the audio controller and all the 0000:11:00.x devices, unraid crasheshes. I have read, that it should be possible to get it working with a flr patch And I would assume the patch already made in into mainline kernel. What is the current solution to the problem?

  16. How can I remove a machine linked to my servers? When I go to my servers section of unraid forums, I have there all my servers, which connected to my account. I want to remove one unraid server from my servers, Sign-out on the machine did not do the trick. It seems the feature to remove a server is not yet implemented.

  20. Hi, I have a Threadripper 1950x + X399 Zenith extreme, used to have X399 Aorus pro. I have a bunch of NVMe SSDs and three nvidia 1070. I did have Samsung PM983 and PM963 SSDs and after month or so suddenly one SSD stopped being detected by motherboard and soon after all of them. They work perfectly in other PCs. I have RMAed the Aorus board and got refunded, so I bought new Zenith board without much success. I have found, that the threadrippers were affected by PCIe bugs, so I tried to switch to PCIe gen 2, but it does not solve my problem. I feel like the problem is the CPU, unfortunately these days it is quite impossible to get hands on another TR4 CPU. Any ideas what to try?
  21. Nice usecase! I am surprised, that the only missing features are iSCSI and ZFS. In my opinion there are more important features than ISCSI, but I agree with ZFS and it is already in the works.
  22. I disagree, letting users to open a root user access from internet is a basic security sin. Just changing the username from root to "John" would make it so much harder. Up until now, Unraid was not supposed to be accesible from internet and the official narrative says "You can control Unraid from internet" with only a password, blaming users for improper use is wrong. Fortunately, the devs are making progress in 6.9.2 introducing blocking of IPs for failed logins! I hope more security features to come in the future
