Hey yo. You could try passing through a ssd to the vm as the only disk. I.e. eliminate vdisk completely. I did some testing on a VM that I was trying to remove the lag when scrolling on Divinity Original Sin 2. I tried pinning, xml changes, changing cache disks, nothing helped. What did help was passing through the entire disk to the VM (as the boot disk). I also did this technique for my bittorrent VM and got much better download speeds. So maybe give that a shot.

I also have been trying to get in to proxmox but seems like everything you have to do cli, including zfs pools. The gui is a waste of time, makes you appreciate unraid more it really does

@DrJake I think this is ok, I get the same on build 2004. The good news is the very latest build of 2004 (September) does not have this issue anymore. So happy days :)

Its under update driver, then "browse my computer for drivers", then "let me pick from a list of available drivers for my computer" then show system devices, then the acpi driver is on the list on the right hand side

I manually installed the device, go to list all devices, system devices and then choose ACPI processor container device

Turned out it was system devices> ACPI Processor container device This is on 2950x

Hi all new install of windows 10 and i have an unknown device in device manager. Device id is in the title. No matter what i try cannot find the right driver for this. Any thoughts please? No other usb or other devices passed through so its not that.

Thanks @binhex @trurl turned out issue was caused because I was trying to get this working remotely on an ipad while vpn in to my server. From the lan it works fine and I can see the /media folder.

Thanks @manfat I can now get in to plex However I cannot see any of my movies. I have a share media and under that is movies folder. However plex is refusing to see it. When I go into plex and click MORE>your media - I just get the link to download plex media server Must be something simple like format of the movies folder or something but be buggered if I can find out what it is

Trying to get binhex plex working. When I go to webgui I get "Plex is not reachable". The log for plex gives an error Error in command line:the argument for option "--serveruuid" should follow immediately after the equal sign What am I missing please?

Bought this one and will report back on whether it works or not. I believe it has one controller so should work. Had good luck with that brand in the past Update: yay it worked front usb 3 ports available now

Has anyone managed to get the front USB ports connected to a USB card? If so which model usb card did you use? Were there any additional steps i.e. bios changes? It would be great to have the front usb ports wired up and available as hot swaps in a vm I guess the process is buy a USB card which has a usb header on it and connect the front ports to that, but I havent a clue which one will work and Im sure this has been done by others. I know @jonp mentioned it in his recent video

Question: Do people notice a difference in performance between 64GB and 128GB? I get that the extra 64GB could be used for plex transcoding but I was wondering if unraid makes good use of the additional ram for caching or something?
