optiman
Under settings, display, i can turn on "show section icons" what is it for? What about "snow effect" what is it for? Can i get colored icons for ex the utils? I turned on section icons, and it seems to just that. I now see little icons next to the section discription. When you click on one, it takes you to the LT website to tell you about that section. Show Effect option is grayed out for me, and set to NO. I too would like to know what this is, and why I can't change mine. my icons in utilities are all b&w too, not sure why. That said, I don't have any extra icons, just what came with SF. I'm happy to say, so far my webGUI is still working fine. Next step is to add the stats plugin and give that some time. Link to comment
whiteatom
Kricker... I have the same result... With only the core, the GUI stays working. It seems to be related to any of the "active" plugins, ones that pull live data. Does SF use long polling or is it all AJAX? It seems to me that when I close the browser window when I was viewing one of those pages... the GUI hangs. No had testing yet as the woman is watching a movie so I can't reboot, but I'll test the theory later. Safari 6 on Lion. Link to comment
kricker
I added the stats plugin and so far so good. The webGUI has not crapped out yet. I'll let it go for a few days now and see how it goes. Link to comment
whiteatom
Well I installed the Stats Page as well.. and it's reading form the system somehow and everything seems alright.. so I dunno what's causing it. Anyway.. I have the following installed now and it's been OK today. core active streams log viewer system info system stats One more question for speeding_ant. I seem to remember in an earlier version the stats page had the ability to see disk usage by share. That would be really useful, because when I get a new drive, it's the easiest way to see where it should go. whiteatom Link to comment

gemeit
Hi could someone please help and give me a step by step instruction on how to install Thanks Link to comment
kricker
First remove the \\TOWER\flash\config\plugins\simpleFeatures folder and everything inside it. The install instructions are in the OP of this thread, but here is a brief version: Download the SimpleFeatures Plugins.zip file. Extract the .plg files you want into: \\TOWER\flash\config\plugins You must use simpleFeatures.core.webGUI-1.0.5-noarch-1.plg. That is the base for all the other simple features plugins to use. Reboot server. Link to comment
gemeit
Thank you for the reply very much appreciated I have done Download the SimpleFeatures Plugins.zip file. Extract the .plg files you want into: \\TOWER\flash\config\plugins where do I put simpleFeatures.core.webGUI-1.0.5-noarch-1.plg Cheers Link to comment
kricker
umm... in the folder you just mentioned. \\TOWER\flash\config\plugins That is the folder any plugin you want goes into. Only put the simple features .plg files you want to use in that folder. Do not make any subfolders. Link to comment
gemeit
I have done the above but still won't work every time I reboot a simple features folder is created should the .plg files go in here apologies but I am struggling with this Link to comment
kricker
No. The folder is created for you and that is where it stores the configuration files and the icons. Don't mess with that folder. When you say it won't work, you will have to give some more info as to what exactly isn't working and information from your syslog or no one is going to be able to help you. Link to comment
kricker
Follow the upgrade instructions in the first post. You need to remove all the old stuff first. If you're migrating from an earlier version, MAKE BACKUP OF FLASH DRIVE AS YOUR SETTINGS WILL BE DELETED, then you need to remove: /boot/extra/simpleFeatures* files /boot/config/plugins/simpleFeatures/ folder Link to comment
gemeit
Looks like I might have to install them manually Thanks kricker for your time with this Link to comment

eknee1417
Can you compare the following on your system ? ls -l /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/style/template.css -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16970 2012-10-01 01:06 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/style/template.css* I tried running this command last night and it just threw an error. If I post my css file can you compare it to what you have? Or I can compare yours to mine manually? Can you post the result (error) when doing the command : ls -l /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/style/template.css I get this back currently: -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16970 2012-09-28 07:18 /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/webGui/style/template.css* Still having the issues with the webgui looking like crap. Is there a way to force the install of the webgui plugin again? Link to comment

Interstellar
Found a bug with the activity monitor and the network graphs. It isn't counting any of the network activity beyond what I can tell is EMHTTP. I'm currently sending data to the array at 50MB/sec and yet the graph says I'm getting 400KB/sec? Link to comment
neilt0
Same here. It worked for a while, then nothing: Link to comment
