We'll switch a PM'ing.  This may wind up being a back and forth thing.

I keep getting this message when trying to load Community Apps...

Something really wrong went on during get_content

No data was returned. It is probable that another browser session has rebooted your server. Reloading this browser tab will probably fix this error

And yes, ive reloaded the browser many times..

EDIT: Replied in your other thread, as it appears this is not CA related

Something on your network settings.  Possibly you typed an IP wrong or your bonding if using it is set up wrong.

If you can't get anywhere, create a new post in general support where more eyes will see it, and include your diagnostics

Thanks, Squid! I shall post a new one to get help.

I don't think this is correct:

Part of fix common problems actually.

Message is 100% correct (explanation below).  Fix is to uninstall cache dirs and then reinstall from Apps (NOT from Apps - Previous Apps)

Due to a template error, Cache Dirs was automatically blacklisted for a couple of days from the application feed because the XML template and the PluginURL referenced different plugins, and the plugin you have currently installed on your system is not technically the official dynamix cache folders.

Or put another way, the .plg file for cache folders for a couple of days referenced arberg's fork, and when you updated your installed plugin it installed that fork.  That fork is NOT known to CA hence the issue.

Wow, that goes back a long ways.

That is basically that the icon failed to download.  Did you install those apps yesterday?  GitHub was having some trouble, and could account for that.

If reloading the dashboard page doesn't fix it up (ie: if the download got interrupted and the file is corrupted), then to force a redownload of the icon, edit the containers, switch to Advanced View in the top right

There's an field now called IconURL.  Make a note of what it was.  Change it to something else (anything).  Hit apply

Edit the container again, and change the IconURL back to what it was and hit apply.  Should fix you up.

thank you, if yesterday I noticed that the backup was marked above the plugin I will try what you are saying thank you very much but the issue that the webui does not come out is also strange and now I just realized that I cannot update a plugin either it tells me some permissions  and from what I have searched in the forum it may be that I have the flash drive with errors.  but thanks again i will try that

I didn't notice that (and you won't have an edit button for them).  Only that the icon was messed.  In that case, what's going on is your flash drive probably dropped offline (best guess).   Assuming that the apps with icons do have an edit button, then at the time of install something happened.  *Maybe* a reboot will fix it up, and barring that remove them and then reinstall.

Well, if that is because something strange happened to me, the plugin nut gave me a lump and the interface stopped responding, so I decided to restart the server and I find that the server does not start because it cannot find the USB, it had it connected to the internal USB port.  (it is a hp gen8 ml310) then when not loading connect it to one of the rear ports and if it starts up but from what seems like something is happening the strange thing is that in the disk tab if it appears

EDIT: Nothing definitely something happens to me with the usb and tried to make a backup of the flash memory and I am left without access to the interface again tomorrow I will restart it since it was accessing remotely now if I restart I go and something is wrong I do not have access physical right now i will run out of services that even without the interface still work

I tried to update Community Apps to latest version, but something happened during the update and it failed. I reloaded the page and the "Apps" tab is gone and my unraid plugins page refuses to load.

I'm assuming I just need to do something to manually reinstall it? Anyone have a tip on how to do this:

Easiest solution is to delete /config/plugins/community.applications.plg from the flash drive, reboot and reinstall

I recovered by downloading the plugin file to /tmp and ran:

plugin install /tmp/community.application.plg

and everything then worked. No reboot needed!

This has been a very rare recurring problem. (probably only noticed via CA because of it's release frequency vs other plugins).  I can replicate one way that this can happen and the OS was patched to prevent that, but I've changed the install plugin ever so slightly for what I *think* might have happened here.  Time will tell.

For the first time i've noticed the choice:

Allow CA to send any emergency notifications:

This setting allows CA to periodically scan your system and alert you to the presence of:
1. Known malware and security vulnerabilities within applications
2. Critical security vulnerabilities within Unraid OS
3. Any installed applications which may seriously hinder the operation of your server

The help dialogue tells us what it does, but i'd be interested to know how it scans the system and to what extent is the "system"? Are there any privacy implications at all? I searched the 1st page in the thread but it doesn't mention "emergency" or "scan" or "vulnerabilities".

Thanks :)

I'm sure Squid can fill in the details, but I think it is just checking to make sure you don't have any addons (plugins or dockers) that were determined to be problematic after you installed them, and checking your Unraid version in case there is some critical reason you shouldn't be using that version.

It is similar to what Fix Common Problems already does, but far more limited in scope.  There are currently only 2 tests.  Basically what it allows us to do is easily alert the user if the conditions its looking for are found.  The difference though is that further tests do not require an update to CA if in the future another circumstance requires a test (and also remove tests if they also become irrelevant).  The system looks for new tests once a month.

I have recently up[dated Community Applications plugin and I have lost visibility into APPS completely.

Getting following error:

Is this recoverable?

I can almost guarantee that your flash drive dropped offline or has problems.  Use it in a different port, ideally USB2.  A reboot is going to be necessary
